Gentleman’s Box August 2020 “Angel Investor” Review

Our box included this little card describing how we can use Alexa for our unboxing experience.

This is our issue of the Gentleman’s Post which is basically a booklet that describes the theme for the month and highlights the items included in our box. This month our honoree is Jason Bateman.

Lord of Ties Tie – Listed Value $35.00

My husband was really into this month’s tie design. It kind of feels like a very spring tie with the pastels and it makes me think of St. Patrick’s Day, but it’s a really nice tie that is pretty unique. This tie is 100% cotton and I think the little florals are a nice accent!

Here it is on. You can see how subtle the florals are!

SockBox Socks – MSRP $18.00, Listed Value $15.00

I wasn’t sure how my husband would feel about these socks (I like them!), but he actually said he liked them a lot and for some reason, they do feel like something you would see on a Jason Bateman character! These probably won’t be a pair of socks that he wears for work, but they will be great in winter under jeans.

He found this blend of 70% cotton, 20% nylon, 7% polyester, and 3% spandex to be comfortable!

Gentlemen Collective Money Clip – Listed Value $15.00

Since this is a box highlighting an investor, it’s only right that we receive a money clip. This stainless steel one is simple and sleek! It’s also a very slim design that will ensure your money fits comfortably in your pocket.

Veganwear Passport Holder – Listed Value $20.00

We seem to have been receiving a lot of passport holders lately which is somewhat ironic since travel is very limited these days! This passport holder comes from Veganwear and is made from vegan PU leather and it has a very soft, slick feel. It was nice that the pockets also had the same material which means your important documents will be easy to slip in and out as you need them.

Veganwear Travel Case – Listed Value $20.00

To go with our passport holder, we also have a matching travel case that features the same sleek PU leather and detailed stitching around it. This one opens up to reveal several spaces where you can store cords, headphones, or whatever other items you need to keep organized while traveling. It has a strap that wraps around the back to help keep it closed while in your bag.

Aqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani, sample – Buy a full-size 1.7 oz for $70.00

Lastly, we received this sample of Aqua di Gio along with a 15% off coupon for a full-size purchase. My husband doesn’t wear cologne, but I’m sure there is someone who won’t mind having a sample of this great scent!

Verdict: This was another great box from Gentleman’s Box this month. The styles were very unique but my husband liked them a lot. The matching passport holder and travel case set is nice and will hopefully come in handy one day and the money clip is something I know he will use! The total listed value of these items comes to $108.00 which isn’t bad at all for a $29.00 + free shipping box!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Your first box will be the September box.

All orders placed on the last day of the month by 11:59 PM Pacific Time will start you with the current month’s box.

COUPON: Use code MSA20 to save 20% off your first box.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $29 + free shipping, which means that each of the 5 items (not including the cologne sample) in the box has an average cost of about $5.80.

  1. My husband wears all kinds of crazy socks, as do many in his office. I like the socks, tie and the money clip is ok, but the pleather products are a big NO.

  2. I think you’d be surprised at how many men wear crazy socks like that. In a corp world where men dress very similar they express themselves with colorful socks. I haven’t seen very many crazy ties, only socks.

    • Ha I used to work for a wildly successful tie company called Wild Ties. They sold like hot cakes, but I agree about the socks too. It’s a way for men to express a little bit of their personality in a corporate environment. I think the socks are the funnest part of this month’s box!

  3. I don’t know any man who would wear socks like that. Plus, I don’t buy any plastic/vinyl products. This box is a major fail.
