Stitch Fix Kids July 2020 Review

In our Stitch Fix Kids delivery, we received this cute sticker sheet. They also provide an envelope with a prepaid shipping label for easy returns and exchanges.

This is the invoice that was sent in the Fix. It provides specifics on the brand, size, and price of each item. They also give instructions at the bottom for how to check out and either purchase or return your items in the pre-paid postmarked envelope they provide. The items for my daughter came to a total of $230, but with the 25% discount (which they take off BEFORE they deduct the $20) and the $20 credit, our total drops down to $152.50. That's a savings of $77.50 on this Fix!

This is the included style sheet, which features pictures of all the clothing and a note from her stylist. Livi's stylist is Kristy, which is another new stylist for her. We received some seasonally inappropriate items last month, but it looks like this month we might fare a little better! Let's see!

Khadra Pop Over Tie Front Romper by Crown of Hearts, Size S - Cost to Keep $24.00

Let's start with this adorable romper! I thought it was really cute with the stripes and the tie in the front and my daughter is always excited to see a romper. The material is soft, stretchy, and flowy making it really comfortable, too. Unfortunately, it was just too short on her at the bottom. The straps at the top are adjustable, but in order to make the bottom fit, it was way too low at the top, so this one just didn't work for us. I thought it was a great summer outfit though!

Milley Fit and Flare Pocket Dress, Size 8 - Cost to Keep $26.00

This dress is fun, cute, and perfect for a little girl. The cut is very modest and it has pockets! The colors have a nice summery vibe to them and it fit her well. It's not as beautiful as some of the other dresses we received this month, but it felt fun and playful and my daughter liked it!

Evander Peplum Midi Dress by Joules, Size 8 - Cost to Keep $32.00

This dress is so gorgeous! I really want something in this print/pattern because it's too cute! My daughter loved this one a lot, too, but the sizing was just too big for her. You can't tell in the photos, but it was showing way too much skin on the sides since the racerback design gives it a lower cut. I would definitely have ordered this in her size, but I felt like it was a bit pricey for a cotton dress, even one this beautiful!

Evander Peplum Midi Dress by Joules, Size 7 - Cost to Keep $32.00

This is actually the same dress but in a different pattern and in a smaller size. This size fit her much better and I love that her stylist thought to send two different sizes for us to try, but if we had to choose between the two, the blue was definitely the winner. This one was super cute too with the fun ruffles and racerback style.

The Tie Front Graphic Tee by RUMI + RYDER, Size S - Cost to Keep $16.00

This tee is cute, lightweight, and great for summer. I love the colors and of course, I'm a sucker for a cute little tie front! It seemed to fit her well, although as soon as she reached up just the teensiest bit her midriff was exposed, so it might actually be a bit too short for her (or I'm just old fashioned?).

Laine Tulip Ruffle Hem Short by Sophia & Zeke, Size S - Cost to Keep $16.00

How pretty are these shorts? They are so unique and fun with the ruffle stripes at the sides and the cute mini dot pattern with colorful florals. My daughter was so excited about a fancy pair of shorts like these. I was worried they would be too sheer, but you can't see through them at all once they're on. I want some of these in my size because they are so thin and seem like a great comfy short for summer!

Stasia Button Front Tie Detail Top by Love Glam Girl, Size S - Cost to Keep $18.00

I love this little top! The color is such a beautiful one that you don't see often and the white flowers look so lovely against it. The ruffle around the top is really cute and the look is finished off by an adorable little tie at the waist. This one is also really soft and stretchy making it another great comfortable summer top. It fit her perfectly!

Amala Chambray Paperbag Short by Mimic, Size 7 - Cost to Keep $24.00

How cute are these chambray shorts? I love the stretchy waistband which made for a great fit. Plus it has pockets with the most adorable details on them! These did feel a bit pricey to me as well, but they are cute and unique!

Markie Cut Off Denim Short by Joe's Jeans, Size 7 - Cost to Keep $24.00

These jean shorts are cute and feature an adjustable waistband and some fun frayed edges. They seem like they are of great quality, but they were a little too short on her in my opinion. Plus, we just aren't in the market for some jean shorts this month. I believe we have actually received a pair of these in the past, but I am not positive!

Nikky Cold Shoulder Top by Love Glam Girl, Size S - Cost to Keep $18.00

She paired this cute yellow top with the jean shorts for a bright summer look. I love the color and style of this shirt and my daughter liked it, too, but it was a little bit wide for her frame and those straps kept falling down and the ruffles just didn't work with her narrow shoulders! This is the same brand as the mint ruffle tie front top, but this cold shoulder style just didn't work for her even though it's the same size.

The Verdict: What a great fix this month from Stitch Fix Kids! Granted, we had some sizing issues, but that's nothing new for us since my daughter is very tall for her age. The clothing that her stylist sent was summer weather-appropriate and the styles were all so cute! My daughter really liked everything. My favorites were the mint top and of course, that beautiful blue striped dress, although I felt it was a bit expensive for what it was. Overall, though this was a great box and we were happy with what we received! This was a great way to get some summer styles delivered to our door to try on in the convenience of our home and this month was even better since her stylist met our needs with the items she selected!

Value Breakdown: This styling service costs $20 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $230.00. The invoice lists the cost of each item next to it, but if I keep all of the items, then I get a 25% discount. The $20 styling fee for the Fix is applied to the purchase no matter how many items you keep, and in this case, it would bring the total down to $152.50. That’s a discount of around 34% for these items!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!
