Say It With a Sock 2-Pair June 2020 Review
I've noticed something cool on my Say It With a Sock packaging this year - it simply says, "Medium," and didn't specify a gender for the package, like it has in the past! I really like this change, and when I visit the SIWAS website, the messaging is much the same, breaking the options down by size, but also mentioning in parentheses that Large is suggested for men, and Medium is suggested for women, to help many find their fit. I really like that they did away with gender labels and made this sub accessible and friendly for all folks.
The socks arrive with a card to give you some explanation of the goodies, and also keeps the socks nice and flat in the mailer so that they don't get rumpled. This month's theme is "#Goals," with two pairs of socks that take me on another "sockventure"! Let's take a closer look.
The patterned pair in this box is especially sharp! Nice and evenly-spaced stripes, these are preppy with a bit of an edge - much like a soccer or rugby uniform! I think these would look fantastic with platform sandals, which are super-hot right now, and a white polo dress, to really contrast with the three colors in this pair. As always, Say It With a Sock's comfy blend of 70% combed cotton, 25% polyester, and 5% spandex let your li'l feeties breathe, and also ensures they come out of the washer and dryer looking just as good as they did going in.
"I'm a Keeper" Soccer Socks
Fun fact about me: I played varsity soccer in high school for four years! I didn't play any other sports, but when my high school got its first girls' soccer team, for some reason, I really wanted to be on it. I was even incredibly proud to be named a captain my senior year. I'll be the first to admit I was hardly the best athlete on the team, goodness; I wasn't even the 10th-best. But I really loved working my buns off, trying to be a good leader, and working hard on setting an example for team morale - something that I still do in the workplace as an adult! Furthermore, I will always be endlessly fond of soccer uniforms - besides being comfy as heck, the shorts, shin guards, and knee-high socks are so stinking cute. I still have many pairs of the socks I used to wear back in those days, and I'm thrilled to add these adorable, punny socks to the mix...it's just a shame that I never actually played in the goalkeeping position!
Verdict: Say It With a Sock really hit it home with nostalgia for me this month, reminding me of summer pre-season camp before the soccer season started. There were so many things I took with me as an adult long after I played my last soccer game, and I feel proud to have played a game that so many people around the entire world enjoy so much. And now that it's ninety degrees every day, and that AC button is in the permanent "ON" position, these socks will most certainly be on my feet during my next movie marathon (and most likely will comfort me as I cry my way through the electric bill).
To Wrap Up:
Value Breakdown: These two pairs of socks cost $19.99 with free shipping, making each pair $9.99. The cotton content of these adds a lot of value, as do the craftsmanship, durability, and bright multitude of colors per sock.
