Careful if you live in the hot south. I ordered a 24 item box and about 80% arrived thawed. When I contacted CS they issued me credit for only 3 items. I had to throw away 10-15 items. This may be a wonderful sub but not in the heat of the summer. So I’ve put mine on pause for now. The few things I’ve been able to try are good.

Sorry to keep commenting but the same thing just happened to me! My box was thawed, no dry ice left at all, and the box was soggy 😂. I had to throw out the flatbreads and there are only a few smoothies near the bottom that I’ll be able to use. But I had a really great customer service experience. They also let me know that they are collecting climate data from subscribers who’ve had issues to improve packing in the future and will be adding extra dry ice to all my boxes moving forward. I haven’t had this issue in previous summers and as far as I’ve noticed the packaging hasn’t changed so I’m not sure what’s going on. But definitely give them another call!

I wonder if TK had a bad rep or if it depends on how much you order? They made a point to tell me I was a “good customer.” Since everything changed I get an order of 12 every other week. I couldn’t find any frozen fruit to make smoothies when this all began & I love the flatbreads bc I can’t have gluten or dairy.

Oh that’s pretty bad. I agree that you should try contacting them again because that’s unacceptable. They should have reshipped the order or credited you for the entire box!

This might be a Covid issue. I’ve had this sub for three years and the only time I’ve had a problem was with my last shipment, which was thawed a bit but still usable (I have a strong blender).

As long as the items are cold i believe they are still safe to freeze and use. The only issue I would anticipate is that if the smoothies melt at all they re-freeze in one big chunk which can be really hard to blend. I will say I couldn’t get the smoothie I drank yesterday completely smooth. Were they liquified when you got them? If they were truly unsafe to consume or would’ve been too difficult to blend they should have refunded you. That’s well over $150 dollars worth of product and very disappointing to hear. I’m a huge Daily Harvest fan but have little patience for the shady business practices of meal kit subs and I really hope they aren’t heading in that direction!

I did call them to ask if the items were still safe to eat even though they had thawed. They told me to throw out the flat breads if they were soft, which they were. They also told me to toss the scoops because they were completely liquified. I kept the lattes, chia bowls and a few smoothies and so far they have been ok. Nothing in the box was frozen when I received it. Some of the items at the bottom, closest to the where the ice was, were maybe refrigerator temp. But most was room temp or warmer. I had contemplated getting this sub for months so I was disappointed. I may try again this fall.

You should contact them again. I reached out to see if it was too hot to order during the summer because I had the same thing happen. They sent me a brand new box. I have found the customer service outstanding

Great deal! I already have a sub here & the customer service is fantastic. This is 3x as good as the offer I used!
