I thought today was choice for BoxyLuxe. Has anyone else been able to choose? I have not.

Laura

Hi Heather, Yes I was able to choose about a week ago.

Mirely Contreras

I been trying all day nothing too

Does anyone know how long the waitlist is for Luxe?

Reply ButtonReply

Audrey Arce

Not necessarily . There are lot of variations ! I’ve seen plenty of variations which only differ in just the chosen item , if it was a set price then they wouldn’t be able to do that. I used to think it would impact the rest of the box, but it’s honestly just random or as they say “curated” based on our reviews and quizzes. Example: I’ve seen the same exact boxes with the exception of 111 skin serum switched out for clean skin serum . The 111 serum is valued around $130 dollars and the cleanskin serum is priced at $50. Just a lil FYI so you don’t opt out of something just because of the price of it.

Ohhhhh my gawd
I read it as Farmacy areola cherry and started choking
I thought they were taking pert skin too far hahahaha

I’d actually be happy to get all of those products for once. Even though we’ll probably be lucky if we even get 1 of them the way they’ve been doing things lately. I so wish they’d go back to just having a few variations. Even 10 I could handle.. To at least have a chance at getting good producta that are shown. But the variations have been up so high lately. Over 50 vibrations is insane and so many people don’t get the spoilers shown. It’s very disappointing.

All three products look appealing to me but I’m not familiar with the Byroe Tomato Serum. Does anyone who’s tried it have an opinion? I want to be prepared in case these are choice items or add ons.

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

I’m not familiar with the brand but I looked this product up on Byroe’s website and it has many excellent reviews. They even sound like real reviews. Premium members got a toner from this brand in July I wonder if anyone who has used it can vouch for the quality?

Reply ButtonReply

Courtney

Hi! I got the toner and it is AMAZING. I have oily/acne prone skin and it makes my pores look smaller and leaves my skin feeling really nice/clean without breaking me out. 10/10 vouch.

Miranda

I also really like the toner and have been using it daily.

Jean

Thank you Kat, glad to hear it. It looks like a lovely, elegant brand. I am a new Premium member, waiting on my July box still. I hope I get the toner too!

Kat

I got the toner in my July premium, and I really love it. I’ve been using it twice daily since I received it about five days ago, and although that’s not much time, it’s made a noticable difference to my pore size and the brightness of my skin. Hope that helps! 🙂

Marry

How do you get luxe.

Reply ButtonReply

Karolina

You have to be enrolled in the regular boxycharm tier and it will offer you to upgrade to the quarterly Boxyluxe. I enrolled in June for Boxyluxe. Where I used to wait to get off the waitlist, I only waited 24 hrs and got the Mystery Boxy luxe. You have to be enrolled the month prior if you want to make a selection. I still got a very good box last month but to be fair everyone probably did with the good curations they sent out.

I am over Boxycharm, loved it at first, when everyone got close to the same. Now it just seems like they are Dangling carrots. Something about their practices make me feel kind of unsettled.

Reply ButtonReply

Stacy

I agree. I finally canceled regular and luxe a few months back. I thought I’d miss it…. but I don’t

Reply ButtonReply

Becky

So glad that I’m not feeling alone in my “ick” feeling about boxycharm’s practices. I keep saying I’m going to cancel and then get lured back in with the promise of items I don’t receive (and, worse yet, the filler items I get in lieu of are at no where near equivalent value). Remember the old joke “How do you know if a lawyers lying? His mouth is open.” Joe’s mouth is open on social media a lot!!

Reply ButtonReply

Cb

I totally get what you’re saying. All these over hyped spoilers gets us all excited and then when my box comes I’m lucky to get one item out of all the great spoilers they spoil and the rest is all fillers. I honestly don’t mind getting a couple fillers because I get it but come on. I really am thinking abt canceling. Perhaps it will be very liberating lol

Tomatoes 🍅!!! That was cute

Joy-Not the Other One

You made my day with this! Lol 🍅

Jenn

I want that Farmacy eye cream so bad!!!

Blue

I maybe an outlier; I dislike the ExfoliKate. It’s too harsh for me and I can’t stand the scent.

Reply ButtonReply

Alecia

I hated Exfolikate the first time I tried it as well. A Sephora employee gave me a tip and told me to use it on my face while showering. She was right. It didn’t burn in the shower.

Reply ButtonReply

Lana

Oh no, my skin hates it lol I was so excited to try it too

Reply ButtonReply

Becky

My skin reacts well to Exfolikate if I’m careful with it. I generally don’t have reactions but with Exfolikate, I have to adhere strictly to the recommended time. They do make an Exfolikate Gentle Formula – I like that one to use without worrying if I get distracted and don’t remove in a timely fashion! My preference would be the Farmacy product if these are choice items. I never get Farmacy items in boxycharm when they are offered as a variant!

Reply ButtonReply

June

I’m hoping to get this product actually! I’ve been using a sample I got from Birchbox and it’s one of the few products where I can see an immediate difference in my skin after using it! I’ve had no issues, but I am careful to use it on wet skin, and I only let it sit on my face for 1-2 minutes until it does start to tingle. Then I rinse it off and moisturize, and my skin looks and feels great!

I’m horribly allergic to cinnamon, so I’m extremely thankful someone here mentioned that it has cinnamon in it. I can’t even imagine what would’ve happened if I had used the sample I received in Allure. Cinnamon is one of those things that I would’ve never expected to be in skincare so I probably wouldn’t have looked at the ingredients. I’m pretty vigilant now!

Reply ButtonReply

Stacy

Cassandra She didn’t say it was too harsh though, she said she’s allergic to an ingredient. Depending on her allergy putting it on her skin or even inhaling the scent could kill her.

Steph H O my goodness! I’d never have thought of looking for cinnamon in skincare either. So glad you found out before something terrible happened

Cassandra

For the harsh exfoliators I use them up on my feet and hands. I hate to waste and am not going to make my face suffer. I do the same with lotions i don’t like, they become body or feet lotion.

Aidan

I feel the same! I really dislike the scent and it burns my skin which other scrubs don’t.

Reply ButtonReply

Isabel

Yup, way too harsh! I got it in the FFF box (fall 2018 maybe?) and was so excited for it, but my skin definitely doesn’t like it. I need to get it through my head that it’s okay to stop using products that are bad for my skin type and not feel bad about wasting product lol. Has anyone here taken a break from trying out skincare products? I’ve been using a million different face masks and products since quarantine started and I think it was just way too much for my skin. I’m going to try to take a break and just use Cerave for a couple months to see what happens…

Blue

It burned on my face, too. I would consider this product one of the worst…and most dangerous…I’ve ever tried.

Jenna

I’m right there with you. It’s funny because reviews online say it tingles, no this BURNED my skin. I gave it to my mom, and she liked it so maybe it’s just a sensitive skin thing. I got it in one of my FFF boxes awhile back so at least I didn’t waste money on it 🤷🏼‍♀️. Here’s to hoping I don’t get another one in this box.

Leslie

Exfoliate is too harsh for my face. I use it as a scrub to on my legs or bikini area before I shave to make sure there is no dead skin, dirt or bacteria which decreases the likelihood of skin irritations like red bumps after shaving. I would love the farmacy eye cream or tomato serum.

Reply ButtonReply

Karolina

I was going with Exfolikate since I am about to finish with an exfoliator from a prev box, but I am curious about the Tomato Serum. If anyone has experience with the brand or thr serum I would really appreciate feedback. Lol I dont trust sephora/ulta reviews so much after the Sunday Riley fiasco…

Chelsea

Exfolikate is my holy grail exfoliating! Super excited for September already.

Emily e Hawes

I may sound like a brat but I want them all. I really hope they have all three in add ons. Has anyone tried the tomatoe serum? I was wondering if it has a werid smell. I have been wanting to try the farmacy cherry eye cream maybe ill just go with that one. I also am wondering if we did pick the 150$ serum would that effect the rest of the items in your box. Last month I pick the 135$ 111skin and wasnt to happy with the rest of my box. Just curious on to how that works.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Emily, same. I picked the 111Skin and was extremely disappointed with the rest of the box. I feel like that affects the rest of the value.

Reply ButtonReply

Crisanne

From what i understand is the box a set value ao if you choose the most expensive thing the other things will be cheaper items to stay under that set price and if you chose the cheaper item the other items will be higher priced to reach that set value.

Kate of Spades

I picked 111 serum and got pur palette, hourglass eyebrow pencil, cremeshop bronzer and lavish brush cleanser. Honestly I was surprised to get a whole palette in addition to 111 serum. They also went precisely with my beauty quiz except eye shadow palette cause I just got too many of them) May be I was just lucky that month though!

Reply ButtonReply

Martha

I got the exact same box you did and I was happy with it. I will use every item in the box and the shades work for me too. I also felt like maybe they used my beauty profile this month (let’s hope anyway). The only item I won’t use a lot is the pur palette and like you said, it’s just because I already have so many.

Shannon

I got the same box but instead of the bronzer got the grace and Stella eye masks. I didn’t even want that serum but I didn’t want any of the options eh. I’m thinking eye cream this time, although the serum intrigues me.

Cailie

I would love the Kate Somerville Exfolikate Treatment!

Christa H.

I’m super excited for this since I missed the last Boxyluxe!😊🙌

DonnaBridwell

Just when I was thinking if cancelling….dang I want all three items which I know is very unlikely. But if I get one and other filler stuff I’ll be good.

Reply ButtonReply

Cindy

Wow, I love the Exfolikate. I know that it’s been knocking around various boxes for a long time, but it’s really great stuff. I don’t know why some people hate the smell, to me it smells like cinnamon, mmmm.

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

I love ExfoliKate too! It clears my daughter’s pores like nothing else. Poor girl has a terrible time with blackheads and ExfoliKate really loosens them up do we can extract them.
