I’m a product junkie and really wanted to try the Augustinus Bader cream and the cost of the box with all the additional stuff in it swayed me to buy it. Disappointed that the eye cream was smaller than advertised!

I just received my box and the eye serum definitely wasn’t full size. Only 1/5 of the size. I’m really disappointed as that was the main reason I ordered the box. `

Darn, that sold-out before I could order it! If anyone is interested in swapping the A. Bader cream or splitting their box, let me know!

No more FOMO. It’s sold out.

Wow! I think this is the first Violet Grey box I’ve seen sell out in a few years!

This one was definitely a hard one for me to pass up! Eye serums in boxes are a major weakness of mine, and the only thing that made it easy for me to skip this was that I’m pretty sure I already have a full size Revive eye serum I need to use (what a shame I don’t know for sure, lol!), and then finding out it may be a sample (which I know I’d get a lot of uses out of, but still…), sort of made me feel better about skipping it. 🙂 Although, I am sad I’m missing out on that body oil and Augustinus Bader moisturizer! Let’s hope that Net-a-Porter comes out with one of their boxes soon! I feel like they’re due for one any day now, lol. Speaking of… they re-released their advent calendar, and it’s currently on sale for 30% off. 🙂

And in one day! Wow! People must have seen value there, even if we are in the middle of a pandemic. I came down on the value side, if you have the disposable income and you can use all or almost all of the products. But then, I adore skincare!

I’m trying so hard not to buy this because I’m going on vacation in a few months and would rather have the money for that. But look at all this stuff!!!

Their website has the size/weight for every single item on their site. Every item is definitely crème de la crème and exalted in so many reviews and lists. I need an intervention.

MZ Skin Hydrate & Nourish Age Defence Retinol Day Moisturizer SPF 30 (1.7oz; Full Size) – $149 value

There was no reply button down there, but thanks Luna for providing the actual and accurate answer about the eye cream (as opposed to mine.) What would we do without you? 😊

Well, Violet Grey did list it as a full size, and I assumed their list was correct, so that’s nice Tomato noticed it’s likely a sample size 🙂 If it’s a .17oz or .125oz sample (like some eye samples can be) then it would bring the box value to the high $600s. I wasn’t planning on getting this box (even though I would love to, lol), and one of the main draws was the eye serum (which are always my weakness), but now that it’s in doubt whether it’s a full size as Violet Grey originally listed, the FOMO has waned quite a bit, lol. 🙂
Tomato
I think that Revive eye serum is just a small sample. That will bring down the value to $680.

Comparing the pics in the photo above and the full size, they do look slightly different (the silver section underneath the lid sticks out slightly in the full size version). I remember Net-a-Porter did something similar where they listed a full size product in one of their boxes, but sent a sample (I think the sample was shown in the pic of the box, but it was hard to tell it was a sample), and people weren’t too happy, and they were able to get a partial refund on the box. If anyone is getting this box, I’d suggest taking a screenshot of the list of products from the Violet Grey’s site (not the MSA listing above) to prove what was listed… or maybe contact Violet Grey to confirm what size is really included.

The eye serum is .5 ounce which is full size.

A $285 eye serum? Woah! Maybe when I win the lotto

Not really. A Bader cream along worth $159.

It is a ridiculous price, even if the ridiculous ‘retail price’ is that high. I am sure that there are many out there who will pay for it though.
