We have full spoilers for the July 2020 Kinder Beauty Box!

Kinder Beauty Box is a box dedicated to delivering 100% vegan and cruelty-free products straight to your door each month. It is compassionately curated by Evanna Lynch and Daniella Monet, two animal lovers who also advocate for healthier beauty choices. Every detail of this subscription is eco-conscious from its 100% recyclable and biodegradable box to the eco-friendly soy-based ink used on the packaging.

Kinder Beauty Box just announced an update to the subscription:

Beginning in July, we will now be curating two different versions of each monthly beauty box.

As always, both box versions will be packed with skincare, makeup, hair-care products, and/or accessories that have been vetted, sampled, and hand-picked by our vegan beauty experts (Daniella Monet and Evanna Lynch) and that are guaranteed to be 100-percent vegan, cruelty-free, and clean beauty!

Each month, it will be a surprise which of the two boxes you'll be receiving, but you can rest assured knowing that they are always each going to be incredible in their own ways.

For the month of July, we're naming the two different box versions ($119+ value!) after two of our favorite flowers: The Jasmine Collection and The Rose Collection.

If you're NOT currently an active subscriber and you want to receive one of the two July Boxes, you MUST subscribe prior to July 1 (JOIN TODAY!).

If you do that, your first box (our "welcome box," the Kinder Faves Collection) and your second box (one of the two July Boxes) will ship out to you together around July 15.

(NOTE: if you subscribe to a Monthly plan before the end of June, you will be billed a second time - on July 8 - prior to receiving your first shipment).

If you wait to sign up until on or after July 1, your first box will be our "welcome box," and your second box will be one of the two August Boxes).

Wondering what happens if you really, really, really wanted one of the monthly collections in particular but you receive the other?

No worries! At the end of the month, if we have any boxes remaining, we'll offer them to members only at an exclusive discounted price. This way, you won't miss out.

The Jasmine Collection includes:

  • OSEA Malibu: Mini Ocean Cleansing Milk (Retail Value: $18.00)
  • OSEA Malibu: Mini Atmosphere Protection Cream (Retail Value: $18.00)

I was a subscriber since the beginning (at least a year). Canceled yesterday after I felt cheated by the box I received. As a teacher, it is my one guilty pleasure –meant to give joy, NOT disappointment. BAD marketing move!!

If they have to do variants, why not have a box for oily/combo skin and another for dry/sensitive skin. Maybe let us pick one product or the color of lipstick. A different vegan beauty box sent me an email, letting me pick between 2 different products. I would love a little more customization each month.

I think the variant boxes are a big opportunity for Kinder Beauty to ante up. I will personally be coping by appreciating the highlight of each box as well as each product. I wish there was a way to anticipate by account, because there is such a satisfaction that accompanies knowing what your getting at the turn of each month. Either way, you’re still contributing to the greater good while really getting the bang for your buck by being a subscriber. There’s no doubting they are still a worthy subscription.

I was instantly ready to subscribe after seeing the first box but then I saw the second box and no choice option 😑 absolute no go! It’s too bad they had to pull the ole variation trick. I would have loved to get the first box, everything looks amazing 😢

A thought just came to me: They mentioned their subscriptions had increased dramatically, so I wonder if they had to go to two boxes in order to have add products to go around, that they did not have enough of the OSEA products for everyone, so added a second box as a “surprise option” to cover all their customers. Bottom line it sounds like they did not enough of the same products for all boxes. Seems like a panic move, sorry to say.

Deal breaker change in model. Will not be subscribing. Cancelled GlossyBox when they went to this because one box was always far ‘less’ (in every way) than the other. Not cool, really.

I’d buy it if I got the First box. But I hate the second. Pass.

yea, I got my first box from them in may…I didn’t even get what was offered…I won’t buy here again..

Not cool Kinder. I would be excited for the first box. They should have 1 or 2 options we can pick, like a mascara or lipstick, maybe let us pick the color. VeganCuts has these options in the quarterly makeup box and sometimes in the monthly beauty box. I love you Kinder, but we might have to break up. 😢

I subscribed to Vegancuts with an annual discount (I think Black Friday). So glad I chose Vegancuts over Kinder. Vegancuts has had Osea in a couple of boxes lately, too.

I’ve been a subscriber to Kinder, and one of the things I loved most was that everyone got the same items. This variation practice is a huge mistake. I was just considering another multi month sub to Kinder. I will not be doing a sub now of any length. While I like the Creme Roseville the ‘consolation’boxversion, the other items stink when compared to the’lure’ box. Kinder, it’s not too late to change…

Variations it what made me cancel petit vour after 2 years, won’t subscribe to any more variation boxes.

Sara

Same here. After almost 2 years, I canceled. I don’t need the FOMO lol.

This seems like a way for them to make more money. First you’ll be charged for a welcome box, then you will be charged for monthly box. Which will probably not be the Osea box and then at the end of the month they will offer left over boxes (i.e. Osea box) for a special price. Very sneaky Kinder box.

I was JUST going to sub when I saw the first box BUT then saw the option thing. Boooooo. I’d even have purchased the leftover Osea box from them but it’s only for subscribers. Lol.
Maybe another time…..

Tami

I have to agree that not being able to choose which box you receive is a definite deal breaker. I can’t imagine most people would be ok with it.

Reply ButtonReply

Meg

I agree. One box is Amazing. Especially wanting to try the Osea, but the other box is meh. If they wanted to do a variance box, they should keep the main wow factor and either sub the mascara or lippies, the mask but the Osea lotion and juice primer should be in everyones box. I cancelled Petit Vour because they did that. All the spoilers were of the “good” box, but had leftovers in another box which they didn’t release spoilers on.

I got excited when I saw first box, but then scrolled up and read “each month it will be a surprise”. Forget that! Second box is bunch of fillers and definitely not gambling to be “surprise” with it.

I don’t think it’s a surprise that they are showing the boxes in that order, either. Just my opinion.

Luna

Ya, that’s too bad the boxes have a different feel to them. I’m all about surprises when it comes to my beauty subs, and with boxes that have a ton of variants like Boxycharm I’m always fine with that.. I think because I’m generally satisfied with the variant I receive compared to other variants (even when I get “filler” products), but just looking at these two Kinder boxes, I know I’d be filled with major box envy if I received the 2nd box… although, really the 2nd box isn’t bad to me, per se… I think it’s just seeing two Osea products in the 1st box makes it appear nicer to me, lol. I’ve always thought I’d re-sub with a nice discount (25% off or more), but now I’m not so sure. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for their LE boxes though! Those have been pretty nice 🙂

Hi Carla! That’s good to know about what types of products/variants you could receive with Petit Vour depending on how long you’ve been subbed. 🙂 I noticed that Petit Vour hasn’t been very consistent on sending out spoilers this year (maybe because of them introducing variants), and I’ve always loved getting Petit Vour, so I was actually considering re-subbing to them, and just let what I receive be a surprise (sort of like how I already do with my Vegan Cuts sub (I love being surprised with my boxes, lol)), but I think I might hold out to see if they have as BF deal… or unless I see an awesome spoiler guaranteed to be in the box that I just have to have. 🙂

I’ll have to keep an eye out for Kinder’s mystery boxes too!

Carla B

Hi Luna. I have not tried any limited edition boxes from Kinder but during the last Black Friday sales they had a bundle of 3 mystery boxes for 48 dollars. I loved everything except one thing (a bronzer) and that is because I just rarely wear bronzer, it’s just not something I feel like I can pull off. I have found that Kinder has duplicates of some things I have already received in Petit Vour and Vegan Cuts but I don’t get duplicate items between Petit Vour and Vegan Cuts. I have noticed the variation with Petit Vour but it seems to have to do with how long you are subscribed, with people who have not subscribed as long as I have getting things that I already received but not necessarily a better or worse box as has been the general consensus with Kinder box variation.

BB

I cancelled Allure box when they started having variations because my unboxings turned into frequent letdown. It’s one thing to be open minded and willing to experiment, it’s another thing to maintain those qualities while knowing others got something you were hoping for and were really excited to try. Also Allure would put out spoilers and then later on another spoiler and add after the fact that you would receive one or the other 🤔.

If Kinder reads these comments, I would be thrilled with one variation and very displeased with the other in this case. I hope you reconsider or allow choice!

Renee

I would be very happy with one of these and upset with the other one. I had been thinking about subbing, but this changed my mind, since you can’t choose the option.

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

Agree 100%. I would be happy with one of these and very disappointed with the other. Even more disappointing is that I would first get their welcome box which I don’t want and only then I would get their July box (which I would pay again).

Reply ButtonReply

Nat

Same. This is not a change for the better.

Reply ButtonReply

Donna

How does everyone feel about them now having variations? Personally, I am not a fan. It is one thing to have an item or two that are not a good fit in a box, but another thing to love one box and get the other. Might have to rethink my sub to this one.

Reply ButtonReply

Rhonda

I’m not a fan. I make sure there is at least one item I can really use in a box before subscribing. While the Osea products would have made me sub, the chance of getting the other box instead is a deal breaker.

KW

If a box has variations of the same product (such as one of two types of the same face mask), I’m okay with it. I don’t renew subscriptions that change to the different products model (especially when there’s no choice of preference offered). I did not renew FFF for this reason, especially because the value varied significantly.
