Heart + Honey Queen Bee Box May 2020 Review

This month's Heart + Honey is the "Peacemaker." I wonder what's inside!

Always included is an info card with product and theme information. There is also a really heartfelt thank you from the Heart + Honey team to their subscribers.

Fudge by the Bavarian Chocolatier, 5 oz

This fudge was outstanding!! I was craving a chocolate fix and H+H delivered! Large enough to share (I still didn't), this rectangle of heaven is smooth and creamy, and to add to the decadence, the edge is dipped in milk chocolate.

Palm Breeze Bath Bomb by Michel Design Works, 5.25 oz - Retail Value $8.99

I am all about self-care these days, and long showers and hot baths are a part of this lifestyle. I am always excited to get a massive bath bomb and though this one didn't spew glitter or turn my water some neon color, it was still magically relaxing. It smells lush and green, with notes of wood and peaches to complement the palm notes.

Palm Breeze Foaming Soap from Michel Design Works, 4.7 fl oz - Retail Value $9.00

To complement our bath bomb arrives this beautiful bottle of foaming hand soap. I know I am thinking a lot more about soap these days, and using more than ever. It helps that this soap smells great and is gentle to my hands.

Calm Buddha Blend by Buddha Teas, 18 ct - Retail Value $8.99

I drink tea all day long. Literally 3-5 cups a day. I tend to favor earthy green varieties but in the evening there is nothing better than something herbal, and this blend of lavender, chamomile, passionflower, mint, and cinnamon is certainly relaxing. In addition to being calming, it also has ingredients that help with digestion. I enjoyed mine without cream or sugar, but you could add either to your own taste level and enjoy this soothing cuppa before bed.

The Beaded Rabbit by The Rabbit Company - Retail Value $220.00

Can you believe I don't own a Rabbit? This is my first one! And dang this thing was pricy. I did find it priced less on Amazon, but I worry about counterfeit merch so use that info wisely. This blue and white bunny has a lot going on: the easily recognizable rabbit is the first element I noticed. This is an external titillation with "whiskers' and "ears" that vibrate via their own motor in 6 different patterns. The internal wand area has spinning metal beads and an angled rotation and 5 different speeds that can be controlled independently from the rabbit. I get why Charlotte was obsessed with her Rabbit on Sex in the City.

Verdict: Heart + Honey was all about relaxing this month despite life's stresses. I thought this assortment was very timely and creative. I am obsessed with the fudge (RIP fudge) and would love an entire box of it. The bath bomb and soap were a lovely set that helped me relax and also wash my hands in style. I never say no to tea, and this blend was the perfect one to settle in before bed for the last few days. And, of course, THE RABBIT! What a treat that was and continues to be! Well done H+H team! Thank you.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first box will be the July box. Normally your subscription will start the month following the month you subscribe, but if there are current boxes still available you may be able to snag one! Heart + Honey will usually reach out when you first subscribe if you have an option.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I got my July box. A vibrating lump of plastic (in the useless shape of a diamond). Some bubble bath, a small hand lotion, and some sensitizing gel. I thought the June box was lame…July was beyond lame. I am so disappointed, and honestly think that this box is going to die soon (like many others). I wish I had subscribed when it was shipping fun stuff. I am waiting to see if I can get a refund, as well as being able to return the crap in the box that I received. What a waste of money.

I love the “Sex and the City” comment. As Charlotte said..” it’s not like it’s crack.” I had to stop my subscription when I was laid off but they always put so much thought into the things they include. They also have individual things on their website and much cheaper than $220. If I paid that much, it would have to being me breakfast in bed. Lol

Man, this box is perfect for me in many ways. I’m not at the stage of my life where I can throw $80 a month on a single subscription though so I’ll need to wait a few more years whereIm more stable.

I don’t own a Rabbit either and have actually never purchased any such device. I’ve been thinking about it though. Seems like an amazing deal though to get a $220 toy in a $70 box? Am I reading that right??

This whole box would be a miss for me. 🙁 I believe I would purchase the “toy” by itself if I wanted one, but the rest of the box is a total dud.

July’s hero item is a vibrating diamond…you can’t wear it, it’s just a hunk of vibrating plastic. I’ve got a plethora of facial vibrators that would be of more used than this stupid plastic lump. I sooooooooooooo regret subscribing to this box. If useless Dollar Store sex toys are what we should expect, I’m pretty sure I can spend $15 and get more fun than this dying subscription box.

Thank you. I did not see that. Now I know 🙂

Hey Lily! I just write reviews, so I don’t have anything to do directly with swaps. I know the team is working to get things rolled out as soon as they can so keep an eye on the front page for updates!

Also wondering when certain sub boxes will be featured in reviews/spoilers/etc., like FaceTory… just seems strange these days. I realize this is off topic, but some things appear to be missing or not on MSA like they used to be. I’ve also noticed that certain “deals” are lightening fast, so if you’re working or don’t catch them within an hour, they’re gone, or they show up too late on MSA. :/ Hope things straighten out soon.

Curious…..why do you buy stuff just to swap? Why don’t you just buy what you want and will use to start with? Postage is expensive and adds to the costs of your items so your good deal isn’t such a good deal any longer.

MissJ I buy boxes when the value of the items I want exceeds what I would pay for them but sometimes there are leftover items that I don’t want and then I use those items to swap for things from boxes I didn’t buy because I only wanted one or two items from them, so the cost of shipping my extras is less than what I would spend for the item I’m swapping for. Some people also enjoy the community aspect of swapping.
