SprezzaBox “Martin” May 2020 Review

Recently SprezzaBox rolled out a new feature based on feedback from its customers. Now subscribers get to choose their box each month from several different options. You will receive an email prompting you to select your box and then you’ll be taken to a page with photos and information about each of the boxes. This is a great way to ensure you get exactly what you want or need and if you forget to pick your box, don’t worry because they will simply have a stylist choose one for you!

We received this card in our box detailing the items that we received along with their listed retail value.

We also received a promotional card from Quip, one of the brands included in our box this month.

The Knottery Necktie – Listed Value $55.00

This tie is the reason my husband chose this box. It’s a really unique tie thanks to the fun textured look and the mix of blue, brown, and gray. This tie seems like it would go with just about anything. It is made from 60% polyester and 40% viscose and it has a nice quality feel to it.

Here it is on. My husband really likes this one, even if he may not have the opportunity to wear it for a while since he is working remotely.

SPREZZA Pocket Square – Listed Value $18.00

This pocket square is another unique style with the black and brown check pattern. My husband really liked this a lot and I can see him wearing this one with his brown suit. They describe this 100% cotton square as gingham and since it is a softer texture they recommend also using it for cleaning your glasses or phone.

Sockrates Socks – Listed Value $12.00

The socks this month aren’t quite my husband’s style, they feel a bit preppy (is that still a thing people say?), but since they are pretty basic and darker in color, the will work well for him when it comes time to return to work! They are a blend of 74% combed cotton, 20% polyester, 2% spandex, and 4% “other fibers.” Sound mysterious!

Here are the socks on. He thought they were pretty comfortable!

Dog Tag Bottle Opener – Listed Value $10.00

This dog tag bottle opener is great for summer. It’s a lightweight, sleek looking metal opener that has a low profile making it perfect to throw on under a T-shirt. It would also make a great keychain if you didn’t want to wear it.

Lovely Lapels Lapel Pin – Listed Value $12.00

This lapel pin is really fun with the silver mustache. It is not too big, so I could see my husband wearing this on his lapel for a bit of whimsy! It also came in a nice little bag that he can store it in.

Quip Travel Toothpaste in Mint, 0.85 oz – Retail Value $2.50, Listed Value $3.00

This travel-size toothpaste looks like it should last a full 2 weeks. Since we have a few travel tubes open already, we’ll be saving this for the beach (fingers crossed it still happens!) since we usually go for 2 weeks and this will be the perfect amount for him. Does anyone have a Quip toothbrush? They are intriguing to me, but I can’t decide if I want to go electric or not!

Verdict: My husband enjoys being able to select his SprezzaBox each month and this month he based his choice on that great tie which did not disappoint. He also really liked the pocket square and the dog tag bottle opener and I’m sure he will use the socks. The lapel pin was a fun choice for this box that felt a bit more serious, and it’s always nice to get an extra tube of toothpaste! The total listed retail value of this box comes to $110.00 which is awesome for a $30.00 ($28.00 + $2.00 shipping) box!

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, you would likely receive the June box, although it’s possible that this could be a future Pick Your Own Box option!

COUPON: Use code MSA10OFF to save $10 on your first box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $30.00 ($28.00 +$2.00 shipping) which means that each of the 6 items in the box has an average cost of $5.00.

  1. This is the same box sent out in November 2017.

  2. Can you have him model the lapel pin and pocket square? Those are two items you rarely see men wear (And I work in a professional business attire company!) so would be nice to see modeled. Thanks.

  3. This month was a fabulous box & great review! Having your husband model the items is quite helpful- I liked the tie much more once I saw it in use. I like the argyle socks & think they would add a fun pop of color to an outfit.
My eldest son is starting his career soon & this might be a fun way to add to his work-appropriate attire.
