Pusheen Box Spring 2020 Review

Each box includes a simple info card that has a cute Pusheen print on the front (seen with the springtime theme: Sprout, here) that coincides with the theme and a run-down of all of the items on the back.

Pusheen Vinyl Figure

Every Pusheen box is kicked off with a seasonal figure of our beloved grey cat. For the Sprout theme, she is happily sitting among a leafy green potted plant. I must admit- I am terrible at keeping house plants alive, so this one can sit on the window sill in my home office and bring some colorful joy without any watering required.

Pusheen Silky Robe

As soon as I saw this in the spoilers- I got excited. This blue, green, and khaki silky robe is perfect for sipping coffee on my porch in the nice weather! It also happens to be a great item for me to quickly throw on to run downstairs in the middle of the night for some water (when I could bump into my roommate in the hallway). It's smart that they've included an inner tie since the fabric is quite slippery and slides open even when tied using the belt with its matching tropical flora Pusheen print. I received the XS-M size which I find to fit well and the length isn't too scandalous at all on my 5'3" frame. There are even two roomy front pockets for my phone, tissues, or anything I need to keep on hand while shuffling around the house.

Pusheen Tea Bottle

I'm an avid coffee drinker but come nighttime, no caffeine is allowed in my body. On breezy evenings I turn to herbal tea to warm me up. Lately, I've been getting a lot of loose leaf teas in boxes and have run out of empty tea bags to fill. Enter: this handy 8-ounce glass bottle with a built-in tea infuser! Although I wish the cap was actually bamboo instead of just a woodgrain print on plastic, this tumbler is too cute with Pusheen on the front surrounded by tropical flora. As a bonus- I can use this to brew iced tea once summer hits. Heck, I bet I could do a single serving over cold brew coffee too!

Pusheen Heating/Cooling Pad

The next item is something I'd expect to see in a winter box, but I also think will come in handy year-round. This heating pad can be microwaved to warm up or even popped in the freezer and used as a cooling pad. There is a beaded bag insert that can be removed from the outer Pusheen-print case by way of a velcro closure. It can be removed and replaced as often as you need and of course, the outer shell is washable. The overhead view of a sleeping loaf-style Pusheen is printed in turquoise green ink that matched the rest of this season's items. Since I get achy muscles from time to time- this will come to the rescue!

Pusheen Incense Dish

This ceramic incense holder is as useful as it is adorable. The square shallow dish has our girl sitting up, holding a branch of green leaves. There's a small hole at the bottom left corner to feed an incense stick through so that Pusheen can catch the ashes as they fall. This is absolutely perfect for a place like my porch- I'll just have to get my hands on some citronella. The dish can also be used for cones as well! Not into incense? Just use it as a dish for rings or other bedside necessities.

Pusheen Feeling Tracker Notepad

Drawing from the Knock Knock brand notepads like this one, Pusheen has her own featuring a little sloth friend (who is new to me) holding a tiny potted sprout. This "How I Feel" guided notepad has space to jot down my name, the date, and a series of checkboxes on what I'm feeling from happy to scared. There's also a space to write WHY I'm feeling this way, and how I WANT to be. I think this can be quite positive, especially in these times where I have so many different feelings. It can help to simply spell it out and understand why and how to change it if need be.

Pusheen Mini Wall Tapestry

My first thought upon seeing this silky swatch of brightly colored pink fabric with tropical print was "Can I use this as a face mask?" Upon further inspection, it has two small eyelets on the top corners that allow me to hang this on my wall as its intended use: a mini tapestry. The pattern has Pusheen sleeping and snuggling among the tropical plants in yellow, pink, and green. If I'm not feeling so inclined to hang this, I can use it as a way to brighten up my dresser by placing it under a keepsake box!

Pusheen Wooden Tray

Last but not least, Pusheen Box has included a wooden tray with handles. Completely raw and un-stained, this lightweight tray is made of real wood and has a classic image of a laying Pusheen burned into the surface. It's over 70 degrees in Pittsburgh right now which means I've been getting my porch sits in when I can. This tray is perfect for carrying out some drinks and snacks to enjoy so I only have to make one trip. Alternately, this would make a nice catch-all for TV remotes and whatever else clutters my coffee table. Perhaps I'll even be lucky enough to receive a small breakfast in bed with this one day?

Verdict: What a fun spring Pusheen Box this year! This box never lets me down and I think it's a delight for kiddos and grown-ups alike! I know a lot of our readers tend to split this box with their sons and daughters which I just love to hear. I'm super pumped to wear my new robe, brew some tea, and take it outside this weekend using my new tray. So many useful and cute items this box- as always!

The heating pad lining is super thin! I’ve already stitched two holes from the sharp sandstones. It is just too cute though! I will use it more as a sort of paperweight.

I use the tea bottle almost everyday!

The incense holder works better if you cut the little stick part off the end of your incense. That way the ashes fall on the plate and it holds better.

My plant figure had a few black dots in the plastic of the leaves but I just laughed because even my plastic plants seem to be duds lol.

Not sure about the robe. It seemed really static-y and thin. Like better wear something under it thin.

For the tray, the wood was very raw and porous. I had some matte spray lacquer laying around so I gave it a few coats, then followed up sticking on some felt feet so it didn’t scratch anything.

Very happy with this box! It seems to be more adult stuff that I can actually use!

I am so bummed that I missed the spring box I really wanted that silk robe I don’t want the winter one That’s why I canceled it and I forgot to subscribe again

I love this box, but again Pusheenbox is one of my fave.
My daughter always gets the vinyls but I couldnt let go of the plant Pusheen. I’m going to add it to my desk.

I put the tapestry in the tray and put it in my daughter’s room to hold the remote control. It gives it a little splash of color

This box looks awesome to me and I am not even a big Pusheen fan! I love every item. So jealous of those who got this box and hope you enjoy it!

Miss the plush Pusheen in every box, like it was when I began a couple years ago. This is one of my absolutely favorite boxes. I love it. The only strange item was the tapestry. I would have liked it as a sort of ascot scarf or bag scarf, but the grommets ruined that plan. My plastic plant arrived with some leaves broken off. I’m unsure if those can be put back on or not. I’ll check it out later.

This is a nice box. I own several silk robes and this feels just fine against the skin. For the price of the subscription, and all of the items included, the quality of the robe is rather remarkable. Yay for Pusheen!

Mine came without the tapestry, customer service was great and a week later, I have the missing item. If you can’t fix it, I’m sure they will replace it. Just send photos of the damage.

Oh man… I am SO bummed I sat on the fence so long I missed this. I’ve been eyeing this sub for a while and the spoilers on this one looked pretty good but I have spent too much lately on add-on, edit and pop-up sales so for once I tried exercising some restraint. Now I really wish I hadn’t. I would’ve loved and had use for everything in this box except the tapestry, but like Marne probably would’ve found a little spot in a dresser or accent/side table. Darn it darn it darn it!!!

Great review as always, Marne!

This box was amazing!!! I am so sad I passed it up. I would have used everything perfectly. Watch the Summer box be meh.

One of the best Pusheen boxes ever!

I love this box. The robe feels great after washing – soft and silky. The inside ties are a bit odd though. One needed to be on the edge not both on the inside seams so it would stay closed better. I’m going to use the tapestry as a garden flag, by folding one short side over and sewing it down to make a channel for hanging. I’m going to try and use the tray for remote control management on the coffee table if I can get my boys to cooperate.

What a cute idea for the tapestry! Hope those boys can keep things on the tray, Katherine. 😉

I re-subbed after seeing spoilers … as a cat lady and plant lady, the “Sprout” theme is PURRFECT for me! I love everything except the tapestry, as it is just kind of random, but I think I’ll end up hanging it on my big bulletin board in my craft room/office.

I’ve been OBSESSED with my robe. It feels really nice against my skin, not cheap at all. And I didn’t even realize there was an inner tie! So thanks for pointing that out, Marne … I don’t know how I missed it. 😛

I actually love this box, because I found a use for everything, even when it wasn’t the intended use. The incense holder I use it in my kitchen, since I don’t use incenses on my house. The mini tapestry I use on my table to decorate and I put my plants over it and it looks lively, considering that my house is very empty, it makes it look more lovely. I loved the tray, the bottle and the robe! I use it every morning <3

I loved this box. The robe is awesome for summer. I think the wooden tray is awesome. I love the incense holder and the vinyl. The tapestry went directly into my donate box. I saved the bottle, but I’m not a big tea drinker. Luckily you can remove it all together and just have an insulated bottle. The heating pad is great as my husband always has aches and pains. Alas, this is my last box. I’m downsizing and this was one of the boxes I decided not to renew. I will continue to read reviews and get jealous of all the cute stuff.

I can see why comments elsewhere labeled this the perfect period box.

I skipped this one because the early spoilers were all items I either didn’t want or were iffy about.

Amy

I love these boxes, but I’ll always use just shy of enough of the products to make it worth it so I’ve never subbed, but I keep an eye out for certain pieces for swap or sale at reasonable prices.

I’m glad Pittsburgh is finally warming up! That mid-May frost did a number on our garden, but things are finally blooming happily again

Marne Orenich

I put my plants back on the porch just a hair too early and really did some damage to them with that last frost. Ugh. I suppose I’ll get new victims this year…

Jody

Someone mentioned before a period box? Seems like that could fit the bill without saying specifically.

Reply ButtonReply

Marne Orenich

Totally didn’t think of that but you’re absolutely right, Jody. This would make great period box!

I’m in agreement with the previous post. As adorable as Pusheen is, I’ve definitely noticed a subtle decline in the quality of goodies over the last few boxes. Too many note pads, not enough plushies. Gorgeous robe, but everything else in this box was a bit of a miss for me and will be passed on. Sigh 😔

What’s an increase stick..?

Reply ButtonReply

Marne Orenich

Ah, fudge. Thanks for catching that lil typo. Updated now!

Reply ButtonReply

Lawden

I’m sure autocorrect was to blame for that one as it is always being annoying…. incense was the word but I bet you already knew that😉

Reply ButtonReply

Jordan

I guessed it was a typo.. but I’m honestly not sure what an incense stick is lol.

Sandra

I love Pusheen and used to subscribe to this box but I find, adorable as Pusheen is, that the quality just isn’t there anymore. I shudder to think of what that cheap fabric would feel like against my skin. In the past the clothing items were much more high end, IMHO. Nonetheless, this stuff is cute. Just not worth it to me. (BTW, no plushie?)

This made me laugh. I have this box, and while I must admit that it felt a little lacking as compared to most other boxes, I rather like the robe. No, it’s not silk, but come on – it’s the Pusheen Box! It certainly doesn’t make me “shudder…” it’s actually pretty cute. Lol.
