I have only participated in Add=Ons and Pop-Up sales on Boxy and Ipsy but hoarding in carts is definiely not a thing, I have had my things sell right up from under my many times. I have enough frustrations with Boxy and Ipsy I do not want to add yet another cluster-#*$% subscription box to the list.

Also the prices for the Kate Somerville skincare were way cheaper in Boxycharm.

I think its b.s that they dont tell you where the clothes are from. Firstly everything is sold out. You can get the beauty products lots of places but as for the dresses I dont even know what brand they are. How much do they normally run? Maybe a little more but Im sure the other site has sales and theres a good chance that you can return or exchange things. I would pay an extra $10 to have the items a month earlier and be guaranteed I could return it if it doesnt fit or doesnt meet my standards.

These sales are just getting so far beyond ridiculous. They “sell out” of several items but somehow have more at the next sale a week later? Come on. How about letting your loyal customers have access to your entire stock instead of hoarding a portion of certain items to make your next sale look more appealing?
And like someone else mentioned I too have purchased items only to be told they were actually sold out and therefore I’d get a refund. This has happened several times and most of those the same item was once again on sale again anywhere from a week to a month later. It’s so dishonest. I finally just left Boxycharm after 7 years because of their shady (to really minimize and put it nicely) business practices and if FFF (member for 5-6 years) keeps this kind of behavior up they’re next.
I’m so tired of these sub box companies thinking because they’re so popular and suuuuuch a good value that they can do whatever they want no matter how unfair, illogical or unethical it is.

I’ve already gotten rid of the 2 you mentioned plus a few others. I was sick of the drama and games. I thought for sure I’d miss the good deals…that’s why i still scope out spoilers…but I haven’t yet (it’s been a couple years for Boxy and almost a year for FFF). Plus, not only do I feel free of all the drama, but all the STUFF I was collecting but didn’t really need.

It’s encouraging to hear how well you’re doing without them. I’ve been trying to unsubscribe from Boxy ever since the first Luxe box fiasco but just couldn’t bring myself to risk the FOMO. I left FFF for a season and didn’t really miss the boxes themselves but the allure of the Add-ons reeled me back in. Of course that was before they started playing these out of stock (but not really) games. I resubscribed for a year but I believe I only have one more box left. Hopefully I’ll be strong enough to let it and a few others go. At least until I sell/trade/gift/donate this gigantic stash I’ve collected. It truly did become a real addiction for me. I try to tell myself there are far worse things to be addicted to but still.

I wasn’t even able to find a few items to put in my cart. There seem to be only about a dozen or so items left that arn’t sold out. It doesn’t seem like they started out with enough inventory to have this sale. ( This is a different “Jan” commenting ).

I want the kate spade new york Margaux Large Satchel. I’ve never paid that much for a purse before. Does anyone have any experience with her purses? Are they worth the price?

They’re having a 75% off sale almost constantly right now.
It’s only on certain items but definitely check it out before buying from anywhere else. Just google surprise Kate Spade and the site will come up.

I do like my Kate Spade bags. I live close to an outlet. I recognize a lot of these as outlet bags/accessories. The outlet often runs a 70% off everything. On holiday weekends, it’s usually an extra 20% off. Or, they offer lower price points. For instance, I saw a cosmetic pouch I bought for teacher gifts at the outlet. I paid $20 each. They are over $50 in this sale. Outlet bags are typically made for the outlet and can be lower quality, although, I don’t see it as much as with other outlet stores. Obviously, if you aren’t near an outlet, you won’t be able to enjoy outlet prices. I just wanted you to know that this probably isn’t the best place to invest in Kate Spade. I would want to see the quality before I paid that much.

The deals I get through the Kate Spade 75% off “secret” sales, which happen pretty frequently, are as good if not better than the prices in this sale.

thanks!! Outlets are a couple hrs away and not sure they are open yet. I may wait then

I was there exactly on time. I put a few items in my cart and imagine my surprise when they weren’t there when I looked! What a scam!

I feel like I spend so much time of the sales just refreshing the page over and over and over. It’s so obvious that people go in and hoard items, they really need to fix this. And sometimes you don’t even get the items you worked so hard refreshing for lol. I had at least 3 items from the mind body soul sale that they emailed me and said were out of stock after I purchased them! Very annoying. And it took a full month to get my items from that sale. I’m over it!

I’m new to FFF, signed up at the end of April as an annual member. Is it common that they have so many sales and it is always this difficult to purchase something good?

Yes and yes. And you will be spammed by email every. single. day.

I am all about loungewear right now (haven’t worn “real” clothes since March 13 and probably won’t for awhile).
But. It is almost June and it is 84 degrees right now where I live and thermal anything is not a good match for that kind of weather and won’t be until about November.

I wish they would focus on sending out the summer boxes before they keep posting sales. I’m annual and just got my shipping notification yesterday. Spend the time on what people have already paid for before trying to get more money out of us/

I’m annual too have yet to see shipping info would love my box instead. They just keep posting more sales. I want my box. The only other thing that looked good was the editors box and subscribers can’t buy it, you have to be new. 🙁

A lot of the items were in previous add-on sales (the last two). The Kate Spade items – some can be found cheaper on Kate Spade’s surprise site.

You are a sweet baby angel for sharing this, though now my wallet will be in distress from purchasing directly from Kate Spade.

Yep. Everything, including items that had size options, is all sold out. WTH?! What kind of a sale is that? I suppose people just added everything and will dump it last minute.

I’m not going back to check if items become available last minute. If the allow hoarding like that, then I don’t want to participate in their sales. Finished with this kind of behavior.

Amen, I agree. I just wanted that one cardigan and legging set and it was already sold out. Ridiculous.

I really wish fabfitfun would change its sales model to prevent hoarding in carts. There will be availability of items shortly before the sale ends but that is frustrating… I like shopping causebox’s add on sale much better.

No. People will do what you allow them to do. This is on FFF, not on people who think that paying $50 for a moisturizer is a brilliant idea.

Agree! I got an email at 9:45 notifying me of the sale and when I logged in at 10, most of the items were already sold out. Definitely tired of staying on the site and refreshing the page multiple times to get a product that I like. Hopefully they’ll fix this soon.

I was in as soon as I got the email and everything good was sold out too. I hate the hoarding! In the past, I would shop just before the end of the sale and try and snap up any good stuff while people dump it from their carts and honestly, it’s annoying. FFF got about $200 from me so far with all these sales and I am done too until they start shipping stuff out. I think over a month for delivery is Even more annoying and they keep having flash sales. It feels like they are just trying to get every last penny out of me. I am a new annual subscriber and just want to play with what I ordered so long ago already.
Ruth
Annoying. Nothing left that anyone would want.
