I got my box today too and I’m really happy with it. Was very pleased to find the toner in there. I absolutely love the fact that I got to pick my lip color – typical sub box lip colors (nudes and mauves) generally don’t work for me, but we got to select from a good color range and the color I picked is perfect. I’m always happy to get brushes and I really appreciate the fact that they put some thought into it and included a concealer brush in a box with… wait for it (lol)… concealer. And I’m happy to try the primer.

There’s only one item I’m not likely to use (the highlighter – I’m not much of a highlighter person and it seems recently that every sub box includes one, so I’m drowning in them). But having only one item only to pass along to someone else is definite win to my view.

Overall, I’m whelmed. I think getting to choose the shades of lipstick & concealer are really what make this box for me.

Of the three products that weren’t spoiled, I am excited to receive a toner. I’m super into mists recently for some reason. I just hope that it smells nice! A concealer brush is not exciting, but at least they’re not trying to inflate the value of the product, & it is a very sensible inclusion given that this box also contains a concealer & a potted cream product. The primer is disappointing as subscription boxes already have me swimming in primers, & I don’t even use them! I would consider using this as a moisturizer, but it makes me nervous that the main ingredients are water, aloe…. olive oil, olive oil, and MORE olive oil!

I was going to subscribe but the lightest shade of concealer is already sold out.
Thought others with light tones might want to know before they try this.

When I saw this blog post about this box, I was tempted to sub to it (I haven’t subbed to makeup boxes for a while – only skincare ones). I wanted the Axiology color in “Keen,” but the lightest concealer would need to be the one that would fit me. Oh well. I’ll just get the Axiology color on my own. I would have 100% subbed if the lightest concealer shade was available, but now this is a no-go box.

Really appreciate you letting us know as that definitely makes this a no go for me.

I selected the Cupid & Psyche lip cream in Artemis, which I’m very excited about. Most sub boxes only offer lip colors in nudes (I look awful in them), mauves (some work for me, many do not, depending on hue), or reds (nope, can’t do those either). So I was super excited to see a shade (plum) that I know will work for me!! Yay!!

Some folks on the last MSA post commented that the lightest shade was already sold out.

I picked the Axiology lip crayon in Keen, but now that I re-evaluate, I sort of wish I picked the Cupid & Psyche lipstick in Devi. Keen looks a bit too orange for me (even though I could mute it down with a balm underneath), and Devi looks more my speed (nude). Typically, I gravitate toward brands I haven’t heard of before, but this time I was influenced by seeing a well-known brand in shiny gold packaging. 🙂

I was actually tempted by Keen because it looks so orange! It’s just so hard to tell because some of the swatches lean a bit brown.

I should have looked at the swatches to begin with! I totally didn’t even see them until afterward because I immediately clicked the button to choose and based my decision on the actual lip products pictured… I did zoom in on them though. 🙂 It’s cool though… I’m sure I can make it work. 😉

I picked the Cupid & Psyche (cute brand name!) shade in Gaia.

I already received the Axiology shade Valor as a bonus for subscribing to the box early.
