March 2020 So Susan Color Curate Review

Included this month is an info card with a list of all of the included products. It looks like this bag has a listed value of $119.95 which is quite the score for under $25!

Limited-Edition Makeup Bag March 2020  – Retail Value $12.00

Love these colors and the kind od jellyfish vibe I am getting from this month’s bag. The inside is lined in a pale yellow.

So Susan Cosmetics Subtropical Eyeshadow Palette in “Royal Palm” – Retail Value $45.00

How freaking pretty are these colors? This palette feels like summertime! There are 7 metallics and one lone matte in here, but it all works really well. The pigment is awesome and the colors are super bold. I actually think the matte shade might be my favorite. It is moody and this wonderfully greenish-blue-grey that feels really wearable and unique. It is also neutral enough to enhance the bolder shimmering shades beautifully.

Top to bottom: Climate, Latitude, Humid, and Plateau

Top to bottom: Cyclone, Lagoon, Wetland, and Riviera

So Susan Cosmetics Dream Maker in “Pop Star”, 10 ml – Retail Value $29.00

I didn’t expect to like this liquid highlighter as much as I did, but I think the sheer formula and more pearly than sparkly finish won me over. Just a little of this stuff goes a long way! It is on the sheer side and gives my skin a cooler golden glow with just a hint of pink. It is gorgeous on cheekbones and even eyelids as a shadow wash sort of deal.

A very pretty sheen.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Caribbean Sun Duo Bronzer in “Aruba”, 3 g – Retail Value $24.95

I had to sigh when I first saw a bronzer in this bag. They just generally don’t work for me, and I always feel like I get millions of them once the weather warms up. I was pleasantly surprised that this is more of a blush + contour sort of deal. The blush side is a warm peach that would flatter anyone and the bronzer side is soft enough that I could easily get away with this. It is notably not orange leaning! This will be going into my stash instead of to a friend!

This is my sort of bronzer duo I guess!

Trifle Cosmetics Creamsicle in “Acerola”, 20 ml – Retail Value $9.00

Finally, our last item is a little tube of lip and cheek tint. I really liked this glossy stuff! I found it was much more of the type of thing I would use on my lips instead of my cheeks because it does have a little shine. On my lips, it is a sheer pink that is adorable and so spring appropriate!

Verdict: So Susan Color Curate has a value of $119.95 this month and I actually loved everything inside! The bold colors of the palette are stunning and feel perfect for going into spring and summer. I also was so pleasantly surprised with the highlighter cream and the bronzer duo. Of course, I loved the lip and cheek tint too! This was a really great month for this sub!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. I’ve been watching this sub forever and have yet to pull the trigger. If they would have a special of sorts, I’d be in! 30% off or something like that.

  2. this bag is EVERYTHING!

does so susan ever do a 50% off past bags? i wish i had seen this last month, beautiful bag and contents! eyeshadow is gorgeous!

  3. The eyeshadow swatches are gorgeous. Jealous! Nice bag, and I wish it was still available.

  4. I didn’t see the jellyfish thing until you mentioned it but now I can’t unsee it. Such a cute bag!

  5. I paused this one for a few months but could not stay away. I love the quality of their bags, and the patterns are always so fun and eclectic. I never have problems finding new homes for these bags if I do not wish to keep them myself.

Seeing the bronzers on you Megan I now wish I had given them a shot! Instead I gave them to my oldest daughter, she was on the hunt for some new bronzer for the coming Spring and Summer.

I didn’t get the Trifle Creamsicle product they substituted the Trifle Jelly Juice instead. I have gotten it before, it’s a nice product so no complaints here, but it would have been nice to try a new product. 🙂

    Great review Megan!

  6. I would have paid the price just for the bag…the others don’t interest me till the palm print. Too bad. I’m just one of this people who want to have beautiful things….like that in my purse. 💗

  7. I really like this “box”! The price is right the glam bag is always a good size and gorgeous the cosmetics are of good quality , the colors are very flattering and there is are no strange products that you would never use. This is a really nice box at a really nice price!
