SnackNation Review March 2020

Snack Nation March 2020 survey card

First, there is a card explaining how you can save on your next box by filling out a survey.

Beanitos Original Sea Salt Chips, 1 oz - Buy a 6-pack of 5 oz bags for $19.14

In each month's box, there seems to be at least one snack that I try for the review, planning to set it aside until I'm actually hungry later, and then like it so much that I eat the whole portion right away. These were that snack for me! I loved these! They're made with beans, so they have a little extra protein, and I can tell these will be amazing with salsa. Yum!

Bare Baked Crunchy Toasted Coconut Chips, 0.85 oz - Buy a 6-pack of 3.3 oz bags for $23.99

I've been big into coconut lately! This slightly sweetened coconut chip snack tastes great and satisfies a crunchy craving. My only complaint is that these were really broken up into teeny tiny pieces. The only way that made sense to eat these was on top of yogurt. Which was delicious, too.

Stryve Biltong Air-Dried Beef Stick Original Flavor, 1 oz - Buy a 6-pack for $14.99

I'm glad to find a beef stick snack with no added sugar. The only ingredients for this is beef, vinegar, salt, coriander, black pepper, nutmeg, clove, lamb casing. It was surprisingly soft and very easy to chew! I like beef snacks but they can be really tough and hard to eat. This had amazing flavor and was a good texture for snacking.

Legendary Foods Buffalo Blue Wing Seasoned Almonds, 1.5 oz - Buy a pack of 12 for $27.99

These almonds are supposed to taste like buffalo wings with blue cheese? I'm not sure about that, but they do taste salty and tangy and are very flavorful!

Marish Pancrafted Chocolates Barrel Aged Bourbon Caramels, 2.1 oz - Buy a 12 pack for $30

These are so good! I don't drink, so I'm not sure I can specifically pick out the Bourbon flavor myself, but I can tell there's some extra yum to these buttery, chocolatey caramels. The chocolate feels like a good quality that melts well and tastes rich and the whole thing just melts in your mouth. These are rich! I couldn't eat the whole bag but a couple of pieces were a great treat.

Enstrom Almond Toffee in Milk Chocolate, 1.5 oz - Buy a 24 count box for $42.96

Okay, I'm torn about this toffee. I mean, they taste amazing - sweet milk chocolate, buttery toffee - but they're just huge hunks of solid toffee. I prefer something more like toffee bark where it's thinner, because this is not easy to bite into and it's just a lot of one thing all at once.

Verdict: This month's SnackNation was my fourth box from them, and I am actually having a lot of fun with getting to try all sorts of new snacks each month. So far there's been something from each box that I've gone to order more of, that I wouldn't have discovered or tried otherwise. This month my favorite is the Beanitos chips. I can see them going really great with my homemade Farmer's Market Salsa in the summer!

Thanks Haley, I had stopped my subscription but I just resubscribed after your review. A couple of the items were also in the Love With Food box. At the moment my subscriptions are more focused on food items. I’m not leaving my home for anything.

Claire, that’s great! I am also finding myself much more appreciative of my snack + meal kit subscriptions during all of this!

Definitely interesting! A decent way to use up the dregs of an old visa gift card!

It is a little weird though, my account says I have a recurring $1 “dollar snack club” subscription so I’m not sure if that’s a new option for $4 total or a goof on the website

When I looked at my order history page, it took me immediately to a page to review items, which are hopefully not the items I get because none of them look interesting.

I’m a little surprised they don’t have any type of food preferences survey at all, not even like prefer sweet or prefer savory, so hopefully there is something in mine I’ll be interested to try, otherwise I’m sure one of my parents will eat it!

I contacted customer service last week and they didn’t mention a potential delay then so I would think so but I’m not 100% sure.

I haven’t heard anything about the April box. Does anyone know if they’re still sending it?

The only item I has in common with the MSA review this month was the Buffalo Blue Cheese almonds. I did receive a Stryve stick in different packaging several months ago, & I’ve seen them a lot in Grocery Outlet stores since then (now I know why!).
