Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate May 2020 Choice Time!

I saw iggy a. And nikita dragun on ipsy live a few days ago and they both recieved May boxes so they would have makeup supplies. I saw the DC palette in nikitas box….so its highly likely you’ll be seeing it this month

Yeah I have both the regular and plus and decided to get the ultimate for the same palette. That was my exact thought too. So I’m just hoping that I will get in my bag or if not at least be part of add ons.

I agree. I keep hanging on with my ultimate but I was always happy with my plus and loved 💯 percent of my products every time. Why does it feel like I don’t get the 8 full sized products? In the plus your full sized products are legit full sized. Ultimate is like one brush is full sized instead of a entire set I would get with plus. Or one or two sheet masks as a full sized item instead of theses of 4 in the plus. I get alot if regular glam bag type items. Which for the $50 I could just get two plus bags so ipsy should try and step up their game or people will start to really be unhappy. Ive had the ultimate since the first month released and I’ve been left scratching my head and counting my products every single month. $50 is a lot of money to be spending a month. Think of how much that is a year! Its not so much the products but the size of them that drives me crazy, though I was MUCH happier with my plus products.

Same! I’m seriously thinking about just doing away with my ultimate bag and keeping my regular and plus bags . Ultimate consistently let’s Me down.

Sometimes a product appears in both the Plus & Ultimate, though if you have both subs on the same account, you shouldn’t get repeats.

The DC palette shown was actually a “Spring” sneak peak that is coming in the next few months. So it could be in June that it may show up, hopefully.

I think they just didn’t do things the way they have been. In other words the first round of spoilers they release are usually among the products we end up choosing from. This time that was not the case for the Plus and Ultimate bags. I almost always pick an item from the choice products I already knew I would pick from seeing the spoilers. So for Ultimate I planned to pick the DC palette you mentioned. I was really excited about it. But it wasn’t a choice and I don’t believe the other spoilers were either. For Plus I was dying to try the Supergoop cream eyeshadow w/sunscreen in it. Much to my disappointment it wasn’t a choice either.

I did notice some of the spoilers for the regular bag were among the product choices today. I don’t understand why they didn’t do the same for the other subscription levels. I hope they realize their mistake because I bet a lot of us will skip this month rather than take a chance we won’t get any of the items we really wanted. I can usually justify the cost when I know for certain I’m getting a product I was planning to (or fantasizing about) buying anyway. I might roll the dice for $25 but definitely not for $50. I’m hoping the palette will be available to purchase as an add-on but I wouldn’t bet on it. I would almost bet that the Supergoop shadow will NOT be available though.

So I could be wrong but I think if you’re willing to risk it there’s still a possibility you’ll get the DC palette in your bag. Personally I’m too afraid I will end up with one of the other palettes they spoiled and I don’t need or want any of those. Good luck!

Jacki, I had the same experience, and contacted customer service. I would recommend you do the same. This seems to be a glitch.

I’m sure someone will enjoy it. If you’d have told me twenty years ago I would end up loving smearing oil on my face, especially to CLEAN it, I’d have laughed. Now that I am aging and my combo skin has gone from mostly oily to mostly dry plus sensitive and sometimes flaky, I strongly prefer oil cleansers. I don’t really need any right now because I have a couple on deck along with a few cleansing balms still sealed but I picked the SR cleanser anyway.

It’s great that you’re going to donate it but if you end up getting a crappy bag all around and want to recoup some of the cost I bet you could get at least $20 (if not more) for it on Mercari or Poshmark considering what the RV on it is. And SR rarely goes on sale nor can most coupons or discounts be used on their products. Or you could probably swap it on here once swaps resume.

What are you talking about? Each Ultimate is valued at $250 or higher. $50 is not a lot of money for many people….I like the surprise element…why come here and complain ruining everyone else’s enjoyment? I just don’t understand that…..

Same here. I REALLY wanted that palette. But with not getting to chose it and the fact that there are several other palette spoilers (that I definitely don’t want) it’s too risky for $50. The same thing happened with Plus. I really wanted the Supergoop eyeshadow but it wasn’t a choice either. It’s odd because if I recall correctly there are usually several spoiler items that show up as choices. I’m very disappointed. And… the site kept messing up and wouldn’t let me complete my Flash Sale purchases. I have all 3 subs although I normally only get one or two each month and skip the other(s). I might skip Ipsy altogether this month after such a frustrating and disappointing experience today.
