Ipsy Glam Bag, Plus, + Ultimate Spring 2020 Spoilers!

I didn’t see a bunch of these spoilers offered as items or add ons, was there a mistake? I wanted the brow gel and KVD powder and they weren’t in my bag or add ons list???

Ooh, I might switch just for this month for a chance at that UFO. I could certainly use it right now! It’s a good thing I don’t have to go anywhere these days, because stress break-outs have been A Thing.

Is it just me or do the glam bag plus ones kind of suck? I’d rather have the stuff in the regular ipsy glam bag spoilers. I loved ipsy when it first started but now I’m seriously considering quitting. Especially after the customer service experience when my February box never arrived and they refused a refund because “it’s still in transit” because after two months it’s really likely that it will arrive.

Oh wow I prepaid the year for the little bag and like to add on extras but these look so good that if I can come up with the cash I want to get all three!

Does any one else find “Spring Spoilers” extremely misleading? When technically the last full month of “Spring” is “May”, so saying spring spoilers for future months of spring is false advertising unless Ipsy is saying spring spoilers for future spring months in possible future years. Which we all know is very possible. Ipsy is, as well all subscription boxes, is super slight of hand/click bait/misleading, that’s why is so addicting. They sell us overstock products, at deeply discounted clearance pricing, all wrapped up nicely with a bow, they show all these awesome things you “could” get, operative word being “could”, the best of the best they show us in the blogs and through influencers. Yet here we are just like little kids again at the gumball ball machines begging our moms for change to get that one out of 50 or 100 toy that we never ended up getting, but be damned if we still didn’t beg for change over and over, to get the next stupid toy every time. We all probably combined got a small fortune from each of our parents for over those things that cost next to nothing to make. This whole thing is like the lottery, but atleast you’re getting something out of it. The sad truth is, just like the lottery, not everyone is a winner, majority are losers, and majority of these products are expired ( just like if you buy it on poshmark, mercari, ebay, half the internet, and clearance sales, even direct from sephora I can tell they do not throw away any makeup products after a set amount of time they sit in dusty warehouses that reach over 100°F until they sell them), or they are made by a outsourced company and missing ingredients. Anyway these subscription boxes are basically like the “Adult Version of the Mystery Unboxing Craze”, that started with kinder surprise eggs, figures, kids toys, and escalated to pretty much unboxing everything. Now it’s led to this. And just like everyone whined and wanted another quater, or nickel ( I guess depending on when you were born, “Dec, 1979 here”) because you didn’t get that 1 out of 50 or 100 toy in that machine or it stole your change, you’re all going to keep complaining month after month because they are never going to get it right ever for every person every time. It would be nice, if they did give actual full size, it would be nice if products were the actual manufacturers formula, it would be nice if they followed our promised opt outs, it would be nice if they followed our profiles, and it would be nice if they gave everyone they exact same choices when they know exactly how many subscribers they have the day of choice or only offer choices that they know they have enough of to accommodate everyone to begin with. I don’t know how their company is run, but I assume it was something small, that grew way to fast, and they just don’t have a good enough handle on the growth of the company and management, and IT seems to be all over the place and customer service is being left to pick up the pieces with retention, and a basic script to deal with people, it’s a job not their life or fault. Sorry for the long…….. I don’t even know what this was…… I honestly think I am getting a bit of “Cabin Fever”, and being confined in a house with yes I am saying this correctly “9” other people at the moment, it will be 10 whenever my father can be taken off the ventilator and then they can wake him from the medically induced coma they’ve had him in for two weeks now (no it’s not COVID19 they tested same bacteria structure though ironically, he has had pneumonia since December and been hospitalized 4 times, last two times almost died but recovered, this time has been intubated and in ICU since we took him, can’t visit or even go in the hospital because of COVID19) any way hopefully that happens soon, and he can breathe on his own, and lives. So my Dad is doing crappy, my family is making me crazy, and my cars power steering pump went up, leaked on to the serpentine belt and it slipped off while I was driving my son to work, overheated my car which dried up all my dex cool. My dad usually handled all the car maintenance and since he’s been sick I don’t know what the hell I am doing. The oil wasn’t showing up on the dip stick which come to find out doesn’t mean it is empty so now it has two much oil in it, so I need to do an oil change, but again can’t drive the car because the belts off and the pumps leaking too much now, and my dad was going to fix all of this but he might not ever come home the way it’s looking. So FML!

What amazing Spring spoilers, I am excited!! I love that Tarte lip gloss shade and I have loved everything I have ever tried from Tula, everything looks great except I hate nail polish and I have my preferences set to rarely for nail polish and have never received one so that’s good I hope they keep it up. Hopefully we will get more hair styling/conditioning products. I have been wanting those Ciate single shadows for a long time and the eyeshadow palettes look pretty too and I welcome anything from Sunday Riley and Ofra and Laura Geller. I’ve been eyeing the Uoma lipsticks too and Dominique Cosmetics has a great formula for her eyeshadows! I may have to try the Ultimate bag, not sure though, because I have been fine just doing add-ons but not everything that comes in Ultimate is offered as add-ons.

The Christen Dominique palette is pretty similar to the IBY one we just received, but the make-up hoarding goblin in me DOES. NOT. CARE.

I’m so excited for the plus and glambag. Those options look great! Especially that Sunday Riley stuff. I want it. I hope some of this is in next month’s bag.

So… Are these spoilers for upcoming monthly spring bags, or are these spoilers for the extra mystery “spring” bags that they post up to buy? Because the spoilers over winter didn’t all end up in winter monthly bags…

Oh I love that primrose walk nail polish! I used to opt out but now loving getting nail polishes, just not purple which have been the last 3 I’ve gotten now…
Hope that tula sunscreen will he available as an add on too!

QUESTION FOR ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH IPSY SHOPPER:

what happened to all the products in the ipsy shopper? i loved searching my favorite brands and it seems in a matter of days or even a week, they are all gone! what is left is just products that are not avail, and a link to brand website. it’s just scraps, what happened to all those products? did i miss some major sale? 🙁

I’ve only ever subscribed to the regular bag, but I would consider the Plus bag if Good Genes is a choice item.

That Laura Geller palette is really pretty, but there’s no way I am getting Ultimate. I already have too much stuff lol.

Loving those nail polishes though, and they always send me polish so that’s cool.

So, I just contacted Ipsy to ask if I could opt out of two categories, mascaras and highlighters, and was told I can opt out of no more than one category. When did that change? I thought it had been two.

I haven’t liked any Sunday Riley either. I have and love the supergoop eyeshadow with SPF, hope I get it!

If I sub to the Ultimate bag today, will I be charged for April or May? Does anyone know? And when would I have to sub to only be charged for the May bag? Your feedback is greatly appreciated 🙂

Wow, these are great spoilers! I’m really tempted to resub to GBP. Crossing my fingers that the Ciate single shadows, Tula sunscreen, and Sunday Riley cleansing oil will be available as add-ons.

WOW, I wish it were possible to get all of the palettes for Ultimate! I’m super meh about the Plus spoilers (bummer, ‘cos that’s the one I’m subscribed to right now) so I’m on the fence about whether to upgrade to Ultimate and hope for a lucky two palette month or downgrade to normal. Hmmm…

Well, hello Ipsy! Some spoilers don’t interest me at all. Some look amazing. I’d absolutely love to try the following: Tarte lip gloss in Hang Ten, Goldfaden MD Overnight treatment, Malin & Goetz facial cleanser, First Aid Beauty primer, Kate Somerville serum, Laura Geller Urban palette (this looks so beautiful), il Makiage lip liner and Dermedicine moisturizer. I’d be super happy with any of these items.

Wow! These may be the best GBP spoilers in awhile. I skipped april but it looks like I’ll definitely be in for May! Actually not even sure which I’d pick for my choice.

I love these spoilers for GBP! The Tula sunscreen looks great and I can always use sunscreen, those Ciate eyeshadows look gorgeous, I will always take Kate Somerville skincare, and I love SR Good Genes. I have tried the Ordinary Lactic Acid and it does not work nearly as well as SR Good Genes for my oily skin. I just hope I don’t get the highlighters and I already have 2 of those Murad eye creams, but it is a very good eye cream for fine lines so maybe having another back up wouldn’t be too bad.
