Ahhh Sugar Sugar “Lady Luck” February 2020 Review

This box comes with a sheet that gives you more details about the brand. As an FYI, this box was a bit late with shipping- it arrived on March 16th for me.

It also comes with an info sheet for the included products.

Emerald Shower Gel, 4.6 oz- Listed Value $7

This has a scent of frosted ginger, sugared berries, and warm sugar. Honestly, why isn't ginger used more in scents? I love it. This sweet scent is made a bit more complex by that ginger I love so much, and this left me feeling clean but not like my skin was parched for moisture.

Thank Your Lucky Stars Whipped Meringue Body Butter, 4 oz - Listed Value $9.50

I love the body butter from this brand- it is so thick and moisturizing! This has a sugary sweet scent of Lucky Charms, Twinkies, sprinkles, and icing, and on its own, the scent is almost enough to satisfy my very real sweet tooth. This body butter goes a long way- I only need a little bit to hydrate all of my skin, and it is possible to go overboard because this is so nourishing.

Gold Dust Facial Scrub - Listed Value $12

This is a face scrub that is on the less abrasive side, which is my preference. It is scented from the orange and lavender essential oils that also have some skincare benefits, and this didn't irritate my skin when I gently applied it.

Treasure Bath & Body Oil, 2 oz - Listed Value $7

I love bath oils and body oils! I usually use them for the bath because I have so much lotion to go through, but products like this make my skin soft and smooth with minimal effort- just be careful climbing into your bathtub because it may be extra slippery! This has a scent of jasmine, vanilla musk, and sandalwood, and it is made with sweet almond oil, sunflower oil, and grapeseed oil. The shimmery gold mica adds a sunkissed touch, too.

The Verdict: I have mixed feelings about this month's box- I enjoyed the products and the scents were great, but the value did feel like it was a bit low. Since this was a few weeks late I would have loved to see an extra product thrown in to bump the value up a bit. By the listed values, this box adds up to $35.50, which is a few dollars less than the cost of the box plus shipping. If you sign up hoping for an amazing deal, you probably won’t be happy, but if you’re looking for well-curated bath and body products in unique scents and creative packaging, I think this is worth checking out.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you still sign up today? No, but sign up today for the April box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $34.99 + $8.32 shipping ($43.31), which means each of the 4 items has an average cost of $10.83

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

Based off the sizes and amount of products you get, this box looks like it should cost $25 at the very, very most

Yes Lavish. Nicely curated box and the most adorable bath bombs. Sometimes too cute to use!

This box really needed a bath frosting or something. After the super long wait, it was a let down. I’ve cancelled, which is sad because this used to be my fav. A bath frosting, first and foremost, should be in every shipment.

I think this price point is just too high for most people. It’s a mystery box with nice bath and skin products. 3-4 items for $43+? Nope.

Can anyone recommend a box like this, I checked Fortune Cookie soap and they are not accepting new subs right now and I’m on the waiting list, but would love to try something like this box or like fortune cookie’s
