PinkSeoul Mask Box Masks + Bubble Pads

Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out what your skin type is.

Here is the info sheet detailing the products included in this box.

Graymelin Eggplant Bubble Pad, 2 pads – Listed Value $5 (Buy one for $2.99)

These pads are an exfoliating powerhouse containing AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs along with eggplant extract to soothe irritation. This didn’t irritate my skin as a once a week treat, and I appreciate that it wasn’t abrasive.

Barulab Blue Aqua Mask – Retail Value $5

I’m pretty sure I’ve received this mask before, someway somehow. The second time around was still great, though- this was like a hug for my face full of moisturizing ingredients that my dry skin loved. I would definitely pick up more of these masks in the future if I had the need.

Real Barrier Aqua Soothing Ampoule Mask – Retail Value $4.90

This mask really came packed with essence- I used this mask after a shower when I was lying down (does anyone else love a good post-shower nap? Just me?), and once this mask was on my face, I ended up just dumping the pouch all over my neck and chest. There was still enough essence to coat my stomach too, so this ended up being a full-body mask. This is made with ceramides, panthenol, madecassoside, and allantoin, so all of my skin soaked up this soothing formula. I need to investigate if Real Barrier makes this formula in a serum- my skin would really enjoy it.

23 Years Old Water Pack – Estimated Value $2.73 (Buy four for $10.90)

This was neat! Rather than being a full sheet mask, it was four rectangular sheets I could drape across my face and neck to get a more targeted treatment. I tried draping this over my chin and lips and found the taste to be saltwater, so maybe that wasn’t the move- but my face still soaked this up.

Some By Mi Yuja Niacin 30Days Blemish Care Serum Mask – Retail Value $3.90

This has both 2% niacinamide and citrus extracts, so it is going to provide a temporary brightening effect. My skin enjoyed this, and the light citrus scent reminded me of an Aveda spa.

Double Dare OMG! Red Snail Mask – Retail Value $3.95

I love this mask- it has a ton of “red” ingredients like tomato, pomegranate, rose, red bean, and ginseng extract along with snail extract to hydrate and give your skin a boost of antioxidant properties. Plus, the mask itself is bright red!

How could I miss the opportunity to have a photoshoot with a mask as fun as this one? My skin soaked up all of the goodness this mask has to offer, and I truly hope I see this mask again in a future subscription box (the crown is because I consider myself to be a mask queen- you will either love or hate the concept).

Double Dare OMG! Rose Gold Duo Mask – Retail Value $4.95

I loved this mask too- it contained rose gold foil eye patches along with a regular sheet mask. I will actually often layer eye masks with sheet masks, so I love that this mask combines the two. The eye patches had caffeine to brighten the under-eye, while the sheet mask had ginseng and rose extract to soothe and promote radiance.

The Face Shop Real Nature Mung Bean Mask – Retail Value $2

The Face Shop Real Nature Kelp Mask – Retail Value $2

These masks were just all right. Both had denatured alcohol pretty high up on the ingredients list, and when I first applied the mask, I could faintly smell the alcohol. The smell did fade, but that combined with the fact the masks weren’t the most well-fitting on my face left a lot to be desired. My skin did respond the way it does to most sheet masks- it was temporarily more hydrated and my cheeks looked plump and happy.

Nature Republic Real Comforting Sheet Mask in Tea Tree – Retail Value $1.90

Nature Republic Real Comforting Sheet Mask in AHA/BHA – Retail Value $1.90

These are really good sheet masks for the price (much better than The Face Shop ones, for essentially the same price). I was happy with the amount of essence and the fit of the sheet masks themselves but I am a bit frustrated that this is at least the third time that I have received this exact same duo of Nature Republic masks- including as recently as my December 2019 box.

The Verdict: I genuinely enjoy receiving a box of sheet masks every month, and I like the opportunity to be exposed to new mask brands (helloooo, Double Dare beauty and your fancy yet affordable masks). However, it is a bit frustrating that there have been so many repeats on that Nature Republic mask duo- they make more variations than Tea Tree and AHA/BHA, and I would like to try them. The value this month was also lower than I have come to expect, with the value totaling just $38.21.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the March box.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

I’m confused, isn’t the box also supposed to come with an accessory item each month, or is it just the first month?

Luna

I think they usually come with at least one non-mask item, but not necessarily an accessory item. I’m guessing this month’s non-mask item was the exfoliating pads.
