We know you love our monthly favorites posts so we're doing a monthly post highlighting our favorite BEAUTY discoveries from subscription boxes! Here are our favorite skincare, green beauty, and makeup items from the past month:

Marne's Favorite:

The Item: Blüh Alchemy Botanic Retinol Cell Renewal Concentrate, 1 oz.

The Cost: Retail Value $140.00

From: Beauty Heroes

Why I love it: I loved seeing Blüh Alchemy as a featured brand again because I love their products and packaging. The scent is fantastic and it promotes a collagen boost to keep my 40-year-old skin lo0king young!

Megan's Favorite:

The Item: Votary Super Seed Nutrient Cream

From: Boxwalla Beauty

Why I love it: This is such a luxurious feeling cream! It has 22 different super-oils which make my skin feel incredible. It is also non-greasy and fragrance-free!

Jessica's Favorite:

The Item: Elta MD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46

The Cost: $35

From: Dermstore Clarifying Skincare Regime Kit

Why I love it: I love how hydrating this is- it feels like I am applying a moisturizer rather than a typical sunscreen to my face, but it doesn’t leave a heavy finish. I have been using this consistently every day for about a month, and I can see why this is recommended by dermatologists for acne-prone skin- this has caused zero issues for me. There is no point in having expensive treatments and serums if I don’t have sunscreen to protect my skin from further damage, and I do genuinely believe this is helping me have healthier skin. I have seen multiple reviews from women of color for whom this doesn’t leave a white cast, either, which is super helpful to know.

Brandi's Favorite:

The Item: Sincerely Different Sweet Dreams Salve, 0.5 oz.

The Cost: Retail Value $10.00

From: Ecocentric Mom

Why I love it: It usually takes me quite a while to fall asleep, but I actually think this little tin of salve has been helping me to relax and get to sleep just a bit quicker than usual. It could also be that I am more exhausted than usual, but either way, I am enjoying using this on my wrists and behind my ears before I go to bed! This salve contains German blue chamomile, lavender, blood orange, and frankincense oils along with shea butter, beeswax, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, arrowroot powder, glycerine, and vitamin E. I definitely get a lot of the chamomile on the nose and I think it’s a relaxing and pleasant scent.

Ragan's Favorite:

The Item: SugarBearHair Women's Multi

The Cost: $29.99

From: Vegancuts Beauty

Why I love it: This is a little bit of a non-traditional beauty item but it did come in a beauty box. I am a vegetarian and it's hard to find vitamins that don't contain gelatin, and of course these were safe for me because they are vegan. They were tasty and I rather looked forward to them each night, and I was very happy to get a whole bottle instead of just a small sample! I think they helped my knees feel better and my hair also did grow nicely (at least measured by my roots showing up against my black hair dye). These may seem expensive but if you look in the vitamin aisle at Whole Foods, they are not unreasonably priced by comparison.

Abby's Favorite:

The Item: LXMI Nilotica Melt

The Cost: $28

From: Kinder Beauty Box

Why I love it: I had a lot of beauty favorites this month, but this moisturizer is by far the very best find. It is emollient and balmy; I love applying a generous layer on before bed and waking up to a hydrated, glowy complexion in the morning. My dry patches didn't stand a chance!

I’m with Ragan, those Sugarbearhair vitamins are the best. They taste great and they seemed to make my hair and nails grow too.

Megan, grewt choice! The Votary Super Seed Cream is now my all-time favorite product. No kidding, everyone, it’s freaking fabulous. Worth full retail…and I rarely say that.

I have gotten several Votary products in my Mintd Box from the UK. I am currently using their gorgeous lip oil. WOW. It’s amazing as well… I can recommend it.

Gosh, I love sunscreens. I saw that Elta MD brand on sale recently, but I can’t remember where…

Since all the beauty items turned out to be skincare this month, maybe there could be a separate makeup/fragrance post?

Hey Marion, thank you so much for reading. I didn’t even notice that all the beauty faves this month were skincare until you pointed it out! I’ve let our reviewers know that their makeup recs are missed, so keep an eye out for our March beauty favorites post in a couple of weeks to see what cosmetics items everyone loved. <3

Marne, no way you are 40! I would have thought 30. Keep doing what you’re doing, girl!

Abby, I have 2 tubes of that LXMI melt, from Ipsy, but have yet to try it. I really need to!
