LiveGlam KissMe ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Sun’ March 2020 Review

This collection has a ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Sun’ theme this month.

LiveGlam KissMe Matte Liquid Lipstick in ‘Adios Beaches’ – Retail Value $10.00

This shade was called a “carmine red” on our info card but I found this to be much more of a soft pink-red, at least on me. I like shades like this! They complement my hair and skin tone really well and work across all seasons, day to night. This is in the classic matte LiveGlam formula which is really long-lasting but also works well with a little balm or gloss on top of you prefer a satin sort of finish.

LiveGlam KissMe Lip Scrub in ‘Yass Beach’ – Retail Value $10.00

I wasn’t so sure I liked this scrub but after using it a few times I really do! I like that you can simply rub the tube on your lips because it truly cuts down on how messy lip scrubs can me. You can sit and use this in your desk, car, wherever! The sugary crystals are enhanced with a mint that provides just a little tingle to newly smoothed lips.

LiveGlam KissMe Matte Liquid Lipstick in ‘Beach Please!’ – Retail Value $10.00

I found this brown a little hard to pull off. Browns can be tricky! The shade did mellow out as the liquid matte formula dried down, but I don’t think this is a shade I would ever be wearing out when there are many more flattering options out there.

Verdict: This month’s KissMe collection had a great lip scrub and a shade I really loved on my lips! The second color was a bit of a dud for me, but otherwise I still really enjoyed this collection. I also thought the shimmery ocean-themed tubes were absolutely beautiful!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. Hi Megan, great review again, thank you. I kinda agree the brown isn’t the best. But the red / pink is gorgeous. Now, the main reason for my comment is to actually ask you a question please. What are you doing to get your skin so gorgeous? I have similar colouring to you, so I am quietly hoping for some details including skincare, primer, foundation, concealer blah everything really, including the specific shades you’re using please? I realise that’s a big ask, and you may not recall that day exactly, or may not have the time, but if you ever decide to share your skincare and base product details, I will be ever in your debt. TLDR: you look awesome

    • Mimosa!! I am seeing this comment SO late! And it was so kind. I mainly use Tarte Shape Tape concealer in 12N under my eyes, my forehead, and chin and kind of feather it out. I top off with a 4 in 1 powder by PUR in Porcelain. I also sometimes just use MAC Face and Body foundation all over as a really sheer dewy coverage instead. (N1 or N2 depending on the season!) I tend to highlight my cheeks, nose tip, chin and forehead with a soft highlighter (I LOVE Benefit Dandelion Twinkle). I also like to top off with blush but that changes all the time. I hope you see this and it is helpful! You made my day with your kind compliments.

  2. I think you look gorgeous in both shades! I actually really like that brown on you a lot!

  3. Oooooohhhhhh, doggies! I legit shuddered I saw that “Beach Please” shade in the picture. It looks like they smeared muddy Georgia clay into a lipstick tube and I don’t think anyone could pull that off.

You look STUNNING in the “Adios Beaches” shade!

    • Aww thanks Christy! I love that one too. The sub gets pinks and reds just right! The browns always make my tummy do a flip-flop, but browns are super hard. Still better than the forest green shade form last March though!

      • TOUCHE!
