Ipsy Reveals Are Up for the March 2020 Glam Bag Ultimate!

It’s pretty clear to me what the better deal is:
I purchase the following monthly
Glam bag plus 5 full size items 25.00
Glam bag base 5 Sample items 12.00
Total items 10 – total price 37.00

You are paying 50.00 dollars for Ultimate which is $13.00 more. (Not worth it).

You could do do some addons and still be under $50.

Ultimately the Ultimate is not a great deal – and with all the issues I’m not willing to gamble with $50 every month to most likely wind up unhappy. I canceled after the first month and I have been extremely happy with my choice.

I get two GBU boxes. I suspected one box did not have 8 full size items and when I got both boxes today, the one that had 8 full size products had an insert detailing the products and prices while the other one didn’t. That may be a way to tell for those who think they aren’t getting the 8 full size????

I did not receive the Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion they told me I would be getting in place of the Pixi by Petra Glow Mist nor did I get the Violet Voss palette I purchased as an add-on.

I am very grateful for the posts regarding the Ultimate Glam Bag. I am a longtime subcriber to the base bag. I change my profile each month to try to get the products I really want. Overall, I’ve been satisfied with my curations. The Ultimate boxes seem to have many upset customers. Here is my list of items I will receive in my March base bag. 1. Mischo nail laquer in “Unbroken”. Love the mauvy blush shade. 2. Complex Culture precision eye brush. Nice! 3. Awake lip mask. I’ll use this for bedtime moisture! 4. Belle En Argent lip luire gloss in “Jealous of Us”. 5. Kensie “So Pretty” fragrance. 6. Grace and Stella lavender body cream (my choice item). 7. (ADD ON) Skone brow wand in”Peanut Butter”. Very excited to receive any color but black! 8. (ADD ON). TATCHA The water cream. Love this brand! 9. (ADD ON) TATCHA The Dewy skin cream. 10. Bonus mystery item for March. I’ve heard that it could be Hempz pineapple? 11. Cute neon studded bag. The cost with 3 add ons is $19.50. I generally purchase a few $3 add ons. However, you can add on full sized items as well. I hope this info might help some of you folks.

I received an email stating Ipsy is sending me another item due to my bag only including 7 full size products. I thought this was the case after seeing the reveal. I wasn’t going to say anything before receiving my bag and verifying. I’m so glad Ipsy has been proactive in correcting this error. They’re sending me a R + Co fragrance gel, which is completely new to me and I’m excited to try.

I just received an email from Ipsy saying they are replacing the Pixi by Petra Setting Spray with the Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion since I received the setting spray before. The funny thing is the Murad product is also a repeat 😂😂😂.

Just got an email from IPSY that they are sending a Dose of Colors lipstick in the shade Let’s Cuddle to make up for sending the Pixi Glow Mist as a repeat.

I only got Ultimate once before and it was a total let-down, so I vowed not to get it again unless they really upped their game. I’ve been mostly happy with my GB and GBP. This month, the SR CEO alone was worth it to me, plus I loved most of the other spoilers AND a bonus product made it seem that I couldn’t lose, right? Well, Ultimate ended up being the best of my 3 bags (the others were BAD this month), so why am I still disappointed? I guess all those sample sizes are leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Would have really loved a colored lip product (Smashbox or the Flesh) and the nail polish, but it could be a lot worse. Hmmm, those sample sizes, though…

This was it. This one just broke me and after being a subscriber since 2014 I snapped and broke up with Ipsy. Two products in this Ultimate box were things I had received before and dammit, no matter how many times I told them stop sending me masks of any kind, they persisted. The Ultimate was the worst mistake I ever made. The last two months have been nothing but lame skincare products and this March box was the last straw. The only makeup item (besides a brush that I didn’t really care about) was the brow palette that was completely uninspiring. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good skincare routine but this is just ridiculous. Fortunately I made enough of a fuss that they cancelled my subscription and refunded my money before sending me this box of junk.

I hate they are repeating products. I already received the pixie glow mist before and gave a bad review on it. Now I’m getting it again. I emailed them about how disappointing that is, when there was many other products that I haven’t tried yet

Its time to contact Ipsy, guys …
I emailed them asking which of my products were full size. It appeared that only 3-4 could be full size and this is what they sent back.

A SINGLE face mask/eye mask is considered full size? (according to the actual product info on Ipsy’s website, you get one mask for your face and one for your eyes.)
The TWO hand creams I’m getting are the same size, so … how is one considered full size? (both about 2.5 oz)
The brush they make themselves is full size? …ok

I wonder why the products that are in our options to pick are different. I have 2 accounts both with GBP and GBU and out of the 4 bags that I get the CEO was not an option in my choice selection for me to pick from. 😕

I cancelled n definitely no regrets now. I already have the big brush. I havva full sized Face Hero oil already. I have the full sized tub of the Hey Honey gold face mask. Already own a full sized Sunday Riley. Already havva full sized Murad exfoliating cleanser etc n the list goes on. Im satisfied I made the right decision for ME this month

I do not think I’m receiving 8 full size products … does anyone else feel this way?

Also, if anyone is disappointed about not getting the Christophe Robin scrub don’t be too upset. It is just a sample size. The MINI version is 75ML … ipsy is sending out a sample that is only 40ML.

I will gladly swap my CEO with anyone for the Murad cleanser. I have had This Sunday Riley three times already between boxes.

I subscribed to ultimate solely for the Sunday Riley…probably should have paid closer attention to the spoilers so I would have known it wasn’t a sure thing! 🤦‍♀️ I only like the complex culture brush so total waste of money! Should have just used that $50 to put towards a full size CEO.

I already own the smashbox gloss and the pixi glow spray, but they’re both awesome and I wouldn’t mind getting another one of either!

I was torn at choice time between the palette and the tooth whitening pen. I picked the palette but hoped for the tooth pen also. No such luck. Maybe it will show up in a future bag??

Iam sooo bummed ☹️ I knew I should’ve skipped the ultimate but I thought to myself I would give it one more try because I liked most of the spoilers and I only got two of the spoilers that we’re out. I will never again get another Ultimate bag, ever!!

Anybody else feel like they didn’t get 8 full sized products as promised? I just looked up every item I’m getting in my bag and none of them are the full size you get from the actual brands, they’re all a fraction of it

Really pleased with my GBP this month. It’s very skincare-heavy, which is my focus at the moment, so I’m thrilled. The only thing I didn’t receive that I really wanted was the Benefit brow tool – it looks a little gimmicky, but fun.
