First Aid Beauty Arnica Relief & Rescue Mask, 3.4 oz - Retail Value $32

This is a new release from First Aid Beauty, and I was stoked to see it in this box. This is designed to be a leave-on mask, but since it contains coconut oil (an ingredient I really try to avoid), I have been using it as a wash-off mask instead and still enjoying it. I do my best to keep my dry, sensitive skin happy, but sometimes I just need a soothing treatment. This contains arnica, calendula, and Centella Asiatica to promote your skin's ability to heal itself while also soothing and nourishing your skin. I definitely saw a reduction in redness when I used this mask, and my skin also felt more hydrated.

Saturday Skin Pretty Pop Probiotic Power Whipped Cream, 1.7 oz - Retail Value $57

So much about this moisturizer makes me happy- I adore the slightly holographic finish of the glass packaging, and the texture of this honestly reminds me of Cool Whip. This features encapsulated probiotics, and you can actually feel the tiny balls dissolve as you apply this moisturizer to your skin. My skin always responds favorably to products with probiotics in them, and the other ingredients like niacinamide and shea butter work to promote healthier skin that glows.

Glamsquad The Untamed Texturizing Finishing Spray, 1.4 oz - Retail Value $12

I don’t usually reach for texturizing products because they can make my curls feel not the best, but I liked the volume this gave me when I applied it just to my roots. This also has hydrolyzed protein and some acai fruit oil to strengthen your hair, which I thought was a nice benefit though not one you could see after a few uses.

amika Soulfood Nourishing Mask, 2 oz - Retail Value $12

This is one of my favorite hair masks. I have tried out quite a bit, but if I could only pick one for the rest of time this would be a serious contender. Along with jojoba oil and panthenol, this also has sea buckthorn oil which adds a serious boost of nourishment. This makes a noticeable difference in the smoothness and softness of my hair, but it washes away without leaving a residue that leaves my hair feeling weighed down.

Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Liquid Liner, 0.03 oz - Retail Value $34

I am partial to felt-tipped liquid eyeliners, so it came as no surprise to me that I really liked this eyeliner. I felt like I was able to have good control when applying this, and I was able to really hug my lash line. If I was being really picky, I would wish for an inkier black and slightly longer felt tip, but that is just me trying to turn a great eyeliner into a holy grail one.

ColourPop Cosmetics Lippie Stix in Love Life, 0.035 oz - Retail Value $7

I don’t have a ton from ColourPop, but I am always down to try more from the brand. This is a matte brick red lipstick, and it is the all-time best-selling lipstick from ColourPop. This is a very matte formula that could accentuate texture on your lips if you don’t prep with a lip scrub and balm beforehand, but I think that could be said for almost any matte lipstick out there.

Here it is swatched below the eyeliner.

GLAMGLOW® BUBBLESHEET™ Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask - Retail Value $9

I love this sheet mask- I have used this multiple times in the past, and I am happy to have another one. You apply this to clean, damp skin and the water reacts with the mask to form a thick coating of bubbles. I always leave this on longer than the recommended time of three minutes for maximum fun with the bubbles, and this definitely leaves my face feeling like it got a deep cleanse. I reach for this mask when I feel like my skin just needs a reset, and then I follow it up with a more hydrating sheet mask to replenish any moisture my skin may have lost.

Bumble and bumble. Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer, 8.5 oz - Retail Value $28

I am genuinely stoked to now have this in the full-size- it has kicked the other mini hair treatments I had been using to the side, and now this is what I reach for every time I step out of the shower. I try to stay away from heat styling my hair, but this provides UV protection as well as regular heat protection. It also helps to detangle and condition hair thanks to the coconut oil, argan oil, and sweet almond oil, and I do think this helps when I am combing through damp curls without leaving a heavy residue.

Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Foundation Primer, 0.41 oz - Retail Value $15

This is the OG primer- though it has gotten a makeover or two, it still has that same velvety texture that makes my makeup glide on so smoothly. I remember the green version of this primer was the first ~luxury~ primer I wanted as a high schooler, and I am still happy to reach for it. It has a silicone base, so it won’t work well with water-based foundations, but I really like how it looks under my concealer and powder foundations.

Here is a ~moody~ shot of me wearing the primer under my foundation, the ColourPop lipstick, and the Kevyn Aucoin eyeliner.

Verdict: This Birchbox x BuzzFeed curated box was a home run- there were so many full-sized products in here that it made my heart swell with happiness. I appreciate the combination of cult-favorite products and new releases, and the $206 total value smashes the $62 purchase price out of the water. I know that most MSA regulars probably have a backlog of products to use, but I still don’t think you can go wrong by picking this up. Treat yo’self.

I’ve been using that hair primer for years, it’s still my favorite. Tempted to buy just for that and the new FAB item, with the $10 off coupon, everything else is just bonus.
