My mystery box arrived today. Channeling my inner Luna, here is what I received, plus the cost breakdown:

– The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam in Acerola & Blueberry (full size) $9
– Nature Echoice All In One Cream – Peptide (full size) $15
– I’m Sorry for My Skin Ampoule – Honey Beam (full size) $26
– From Nature Age Intense Treatment Essence (full size) $27
– Holika Holika Milky Bun Puff (beauty sponge) $8

So that’s a total value of $85 (well over the quoted $60+ value) for the $35 purchase price, with 4 full sized products and a beauty sponge. I also received 3 foil packet samples. Overall, I’m happy with the contents, as I’m just starting to get into K-beauty products and this seems to be a good sampling. The sponge I could live without (I’ll probably try it, but it’s an odd shape so I’m not sure I’ll ultimately get use out of it), but I’ll absolutely try the rest. I’m particularly pleased about the cleanser and the essence.

Luna, if you happen to read this and have any familiarity with these products/brands, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I thought I’d share what I got in the last mystery box which came out in October, in case anyone would like an idea of the curation they could get.

(this is what I posted in the comments for the October mystery box once I received it)
Manyo Factory Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Repair Ampoule (full size)

Heimish Refresh Water (full size) – this is a toner and I LOVE it’s simple opaque packaging. Very shelfie worthy, lol

EyeNLip Hyaluronic Acid Multi Care Cream & Toner (full size) – just like the name suggests, this is a creamy/milky toner

The Saem Lipstick (full size) – color name unknown, but the one I got is a bright-ish peachy color that I could tame down with a balm underneath. It has a really unique textured plastic packaging that I like.

Duft & Doft Stockholm Rose Revitalizing Lip Cream (full size) – very lightly tinted lip balm in a tube

Etude House Green Tea Sheet Mask

Etude House Help My Finger Nail Finger Pack – sort of like sheet masks for your nails that fit over the tips of your fingers

Thanks, Luna!
Might I ask, in your opinion, do u think it’s worth it tho? I mean $7 for each full size item doesn’t sound so bad, but haven’t heard some of these brands, so…

Oh! And in reference to the brands… there were only two brands I hadn’t heard of at the time EyeNLip and Duft & Doft, but their products (and the others included) were of very good quality, and FWIW the packaging was nice too (I’m a sucker for nice packaging 😉 ).

Luna

Hi Dayan!
For me, it definitely was worth it because I really liked the curation of the mystery box, but I also don’t sub to any k-beauty boxes, so these mystery boxes are really the only way I can get my hands on k-beauty products since I refuse to pay full retail for them (most times 😉 ). I didn’t bother doing a value breakdown of the box, because I already felt like it was worth what I paid for it (but of course, being a mystery box, I could have just got lucky that I liked most everything), plus valuing k-beauty products can be a bit hard to do. Also, I felt this is a great way to experience a Pink Seoul box (that felt like a Plus box) at a cheaper price too! Below, I’ve posted my little commentary I made about my feelings on the box that I originally posted in the October post 🙂 (note: I said I would get the next mystery box, but I’m currently on a no buy through the end of next month, so I’ll sadly miss out on this one 🙁 )

“Overall, I’m super happy with my mystery box 🙂 The only thing I’ll gift is the finger nail masks (lol), and I’m super stoked about the three full size skincare products. I love that I got two hyaluronic acid products and two toners which I always seem to go through far too quickly and seem to rarely receive in boxes. I can’t wait for their next mystery box! I think this is probably the way I’ll go going forward with Pink Seoul… just get their mystery boxes rather than subscribing… I seem to have good luck both ways, but at least this way I feel like I’m getting the same items I’d get in a Plus box, but for cheaper 🙂 “

I got excited and then saw it’s less than a 50% savings. I think I will pass for now.
