Wicked Good Perfume "Soiree" Review February 2020

A few things to note about these fragrances:

  • They are formulated without phthalates, parabens, or petroleum
  • These are vegan and cruelty-free and they use sustainable ingredients that are responsibly sourced
  • I am not a huge perfume lover because they usually give me headaches, but these unique, handcrafted fragrances do not!

This month's theme is "Soiree" and it sounds like we have some fun scents this month! On one side this card lists the products, the scents they contain and their retail value, while the back has some information about their box review contest.

Rosé All Day Bath Salts, 4 oz. - Listed Value $15.00

These bath salts are made with nice chunks of pink Himalayan salt with the scents of pink prosecco, sparkling quince, crystal peonies, and amaretto creme. I did actually get to relax in a luxurious bath with these this month and I enjoyed the aroma! It is a bit sweet and fruity with a hint of a floral finish. This one is hard to place since I'm not sure I could identify a quince smell, but the overall scent was pleasant for a bath salt!

Afterglow Highlighting Mist, 2 oz. - Listed Value $16.00

This highlighting mist is a new one! It looks a bit intimidating in the bottle with that vibrant, shimmery gold (I'm thinking Goldenface from Michael Scott's Threat Level Midnight), but of course, this one worked beautifully to provide a subtle shimmer instead. This is a mix of organic aloe vera juice, mica, and vitamin C that you can spray on your face, body and decollete to add a nice highlight. The scent is Nectarine Blossom and Honey with cassis, acacia honey, and peach. The scent was very light to me that was a mix of the aloe and the faintest hint of peach. It was very refreshing and clean smelling.

It is pretty liquidy when it sprays out and not as much of a mist as I would like, but it absorbs nicely into your skin leaving the faintest of shimmers.  The first swatch is a spray while the second is with it rubbed in.

Here I used it on my cheeks for a very subtle highlight. I opted to spray it on my fingers first since a lot of product comes out, but I did spray directly on my face another day and rubbed it in for an all-over glow. It was a perfect dewy finish that absorbed nicely!

Soiree Perfume Oil Roller, 10 ml - Listed Value $18.00

This month's roller is a blend of sparkling champagne, pomelo grapefruit, champagne grapes, and deep plum. This might actually be the first scent I've received from this sub that I wasn't a fan of. It reminds me of champagne gummy bears and I definitely get a bit of a sweet white grape scent that's a bit too sweet for me. It's not super strong or overwhelming so while it isn't my favorite, I wasn't miserable testing it out, I just wouldn't choose to wear this.

Rose Gold Perfume Spray, 1 oz. - Listed Value $29.00

Our perfume spray this month feels very much like a spring smell to me. It is a blend of plum blossom, wildflower honey, rose petals, peony, and carnation. This perfume spray has a sweet plummy smell with a stronger cottony floral finish from the peony and carnation at first. It then fades to a very light scent of peony and honey with a bit of plum sweetness that blends together nicely. I like this one a lot!

Verdict: This theme of Soiree was a fun one from Wicked Good Perfume. The only real miss for me was the perfume roller, but I thought everything else smelled so nice! I liked being able to relax with the sweet-smelling bath salts and I love that they included that unique highlighting mist. It is a fun product and it is so subtle that it should work for almost anyone! The perfume spray this month brings some happy thoughts of spring with the sweet florals. I thought this was another great curation for $25.00 (including free shipping)!

I really loved the boxes from Wicked Good. So unique and fresh. I’m obsessed with their salves. If not for budget, this is one of the few subs I would love to keep.
