TONYMOLY January 2020 Monthly Bundle Review

This box doesn't come with an info sheet, so let's get into it.

I’m Real Lemon Mask Sheet - Estimated Value $3 (Buy two for $6)

The I’m Real sheet mask line from TONYMOLY is pretty basic, but I still don’t mind getting more of them. The lemon in this is supposed to brighten, but overall this is just a nice, hydrating 20-minute mask.

I’m Real Calendula Mask Sheet – Estimated Value $3 (Buy two for $6.00)

Calendula is known for being soothing, and this also has hyaluronic acid for added hydration. My skin soaked it up!

Master Lab Intensive Skin Soothing Centella Asiatica - Estimated Value $4.50 (Buy two for $9)

Since I have sensitive skin, I am always happy to use products that have Centella Asiatica, which is known for being soothing and healing (it is also called tiger grass because injured tigers would roll in it to soothe battle wounds and injuries!). Because of that, though, I was bummed to see this mask had alcohol higher up on the ingredients list than the Centella. This was still soothing to my skin, but I try to avoid products that have alcohol on the ingredients list before the beneficial ones.

I’m Green Tea Gel Eye Patch, set of two - Retail Value $8

I will take all of the hydrogel eye patches, and these are pretty nice. The $4 per use is a bit steep when you consider eye patches from Patchology run about $3 a pop, but I do feel like my dark circles looked a bit brighter after using and these were just all-around refreshing to use.

Intense Care 24k Gold Snail Hydro Gel Mask - Retail Value $10

I adore hydrogel masks, and the fact that this one comes in two pieces means you can adjust it for a better fit. This is made with 24k gold, fermented snail essence, and ginseng, and my skin soaked it all up. My skin had a healthy glow when I was done wearing it, and I was happy to see this again after first getting it in the June 2019 Allure box.

The Black Tea London Classic Serum, 10 ml - Estimated Value $7.82 (Buy the 55 ml version for $43)

Fermented black tea is a super popular skincare ingredient in K-Beauty (hello, Amorepacific single extract essence), and I am always happy to add more of it to my routine. I really liked this serum- out of the tube it was a little thick, but it really glided over my skin and then sank in quickly. 56% of this serum is fermented black tea, and I am happy to get the antioxidant benefits by using this.

Wonder Ceramide Mocchi Toner, 200 ml - Estimated Value $9.20 (Buy the 500 ml version for $23)

I am really loving this toner! Along with Mocchi being just a delicious and pretty dessert, ceramides help your skin retain moisture and protect against irritants like pollution. I love that this toner is alcohol-free, and it also has a light lavender scent that I personally enjoy. This really is a nourishing toner, and my skin soaks it up.

Cat's Wink Clear Pact, 11 g - Retail Value $13

This is a fine translucent powder designed for oily or combination skin. I have dry skin, but my nose likes to play games with me so I tested this out there. This had a soft blurring effect and lessened the shine on my nose while not being too heavy.

Cat’s Purrfect Eye Contour Stick, 2 oz - Retail Value $16

This is an under-eye priming stick designed to brighten dark circles and work as a base for concealer. I didn’t know that the first time I used it, so I just used it as a regular eye cream. I didn’t love it that way, but I do like how it has a very light pearlescent finish to counteract dark shadows under my eyes. I don’t 100% love the texture, but the novelty of this is enough to have me keep using it.

The Verdict: I look forward to the bundle from TONYMOLY every month, and the January bundle did not disappoint. I had been eyeing the cat products from the brand for a while (they're just so cute), and the toner was a product I really ended up loving. Value-wise, I calculated a total value of $74.52, which is a few dollars short of the promised $80 value.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you order today? No, this monthly bundle has sold out, but stay tuned for the February bundle!

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

I still have a couple of the snail masks from another box. They’re really nice; a little messy going on, but they do stay in place.

I had gotten a tube of the black tea serum in the past. It too is very nice and smells great. The tea is supplied by Harney & Sons, a very reputable supplier. If you have a tea person in your life, their site will be great for getting gifts.
