QVC TILI x Meg O. January 2020 Review

A small change I noticed with this new subscription model is the info sheet has notes about the items and tips on how to use them. Before, the info sheets would usually just include the ingredients of each item.

IT Cosmetics® Hydrating Lip Flush Lipstick in Rose Flush, 0.11 oz - Retail Value $20

This lipstick is so hydrating and sheer I honestly consider it to be more of a lip balm, but I really do love it. This has taken up a spot in my work purse where I can easily reach it when I need to add a flush of color to my lips without the maintenance of a liquid lipstick that may fade unevenly.

BeautyBio The Radiance Brightening Rosehip Seed Facial Oil, 0.10 oz - Estimated Value $7 (Buy the 1 oz version for $70)

I actually own the full size of this oil and can give a little more of an in-depth review because I’ve been using it consistently for about two weeks. When I was first gifted this oil, I layered it like I would any other oil at the end of my routine. However, I could not for the life of me figure out how to layer it without experiencing pretty severe pilling. The way I use it now is by applying it to freshly cleansed skin before doing anything else in my routine. I have been using it at night and usually just apply an eye cream and sleeping mask after since I’ve been utilizing a much simpler evening routine, and while this is the only oil I own that causes pilling issues for me, I also have been waking up to brighter, more nourished skin in large part to this oil. It’s finicky, and I don’t recommend it if you have a ten-step routine (or even five), but I have seen good results using it the way I described.

Frudia Brightening Cream in Pomegranate, 1.94 oz - Retail Value $20

I am smitten with the packaging on this moisturizer- I feel like if Winnie the Pooh needed a face cream he would reach for this one. I also really like the lightweight cream texture that my dry skin soaked up fast. Nothing in the ingredients list on this stood out to me as special, but my skin likes it anyway so who am I to argue?

Hey Honey Come Clean Propolis & Minerals Facial Scrub, 0.5 oz - Estimated Value $6.36 (Buy the 2.2 oz version for $28)

I don’t love abrasive scrubs, so I found this to be pretty neat in that it featured dissolving beads that disappear as you massage your face. This also features propolis extract and trace minerals to nourish and soothe your skin. This isn’t something I would want to use every day, but I appreciated the novelty of it.

ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30, 0.5 oz - Estimated Value $38.40 (Buy the 1.7 oz version for $128)

If you like this moisturizer, this box is already a win! ELEMIS is definitely a luxe skincare brand, and this anti-aging moisturizer is lightweight while providing your skin with all of the nourishment it needs. I love how this sinks into my skin, and that I can count on it to provide some extra SPF protection.

bareMinerals® Gen Nude Patent Lip Lacquer in Dahling, 0.12 oz - Retail Value $20

I did not love this liquid lipstick. It has the high shine finish of a gloss, and it also has the thick, sticky texture of glosses that will get caught in your hair the second the wind blows in an unfavorable way. The shade Dahling is a pretty cinnamon pink, but the color isn’t worth the hassle this formula provides.

Here it is swatched below the IT Cosmetics lipstick.

Benefit Cosmetics 24-Hr Brow Setter, 0.11 oz - Retail Value $14

I usually reach for tinted brow gels so I was surprised I actually liked the way my brows looked after a swipe of this clear gel. Once dries my brows felt slightly stiff, but they didn’t feel crunchy or uncomfortable.

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask, 0.07 oz - Estimated Value $0.77 (Buy the 5 oz version for $55)

I’m a big fan of this mask and own it in the full size, so I’m tucking the foil sample of this away for travel. The cucumber extract and gel formula make this a great soothing mask whether you’re experiencing a painful breakout or sunburned skin, and I have literally fallen asleep with this mask on my face before with no issues.

The Verdict: I thought this was another decent box from QVC- we received three full-size items, and I liked the mix of brands included. I don't love that we received a foil sample of the Peter Thomas Roth mask, but it isn't a deal-breaker for me. Value-wise, I calculated a total value of  $126.53 for everything.

While not a subscription, both QVC & HSN are participating in their annual Beauty With Benefits program. 80% of the proceeds go to benefit Cancer and Careers and you will receive a gift bag worth at least $230.
There is a limit of 1 bag per person, but you can oder 1 from QVC and 1 from HSN.
This is my 2nd year buying them and I have been very impressed with the gift.
To participate, go to the company website and search for “Beauty With Benefits “

I joined. Got 1 box. This is a joke. Where’s February’s? It’s March 9th. They can’t even face their inquiring customers. I cancelled fast.

If you look in the clearance section of QVC under beauty a bunch of past TILI boxes are on clearance with free shipping -doesn’t come up if you just search TILI.

My opinion is don’t waste your money with QVC beauty boxes. After purchasing a few I find them to be overpriced and underwhelming when you consider what else is out there. The QVC hosts seem to stress “full sized” products and imply that all the products in the box are full sized, which they are not. In my opinion, for the price you would pay for the QVC box, you can get an amazing box with some equally, if not more interesting, products from other subscription services (i.e. BoxyCharm and Ipsy come to mind) and not pay for shipping. And just a heads up, QVC’s sister channel, HSN, just offered a spring box for $25 (no shipping) that was really wonderful.

I’m going to note as well that the information card correctly identifies this Elemis cream as the one WITHOUT spf

Jessica, could you please double check your Elemis product? As @Jody above noted, the product in your picture does not have spf protection. That is a different cream and it says SPF 30 right on the front. I wouldn’t want anyone to use this and get a bad sunburn.

First Friday of the month? Where is February then. I can’t find it anywhere, not even in QVC.

They have been having some issues with shipping or something. January’s box shipped on Jan. 28th. February’s box was supposed to ship today but yesterday I got an email stating it is delayed and shipping on the 28th 🙁

Hi, do you know the name of the last box so that I may check it out? Thanks!

Luna

It’s called TILI x It’s All Chic to Me. MSA reviewed it too! Just search “QVC”, and all of the QVC box posts will show. 🙂

This box is available. I just checked!

There’s also a code if this is your first QVC purchase. I think it’s WELCOME but I’m not sure.

Welcome code works for 10$ discount if account is new (or new email used). It won’t work on purchase below 25$ though

I ordered the box for the Elemis that said it had an SPF in the listing. It did not come that way. I asked QVC and they can’t sent partial replacements for a box.
