Our monthly favorites posts have been so popular, we decided to feature a monthly post highlighting our favorite edible discoveries from subscription boxes! Here are our favorite meals, snacks, wine, teas, and anything else edible from the past month:

Savannah's Favorite:

shrimp sandwich plated with tile backdrop

The Item: New Orleans Shrimp Roll with Cajun Fries + Roasted Garlic Crema

The Cost: $9.95/serving

From: Home Chef

Why I love it: While your eyes are probably drawn to the creamy spiced shrimp, the homemade roasted fries, and the brilliant greens of this sandwich, the unsung hero was the bun, if you can believe it! I was thrilled with the quality of the bread Home Chef sent for this dish. It provided a solid, hearty foundation for the rest of this incredible meal, which would easily cost at least twice as much on a restaurant menu. Plus, such attention paid to a detail as frequently overlooked as a bun goes to show that Home Chef really aims to impress. Color me delighted!

Marne's Favorite:

The Item: Blue Lotus Chai Traditional Masala Chai

The Cost: $8.50

From: Goddess Provisions

ACTIVE DEAL: Use code MSA10 for 10% off your entire order (min. purchase of $25 USD required).
CODE: MSA10

Why I love it: Chai is my go-to drink when it's cold out so being able to mix my own at home and control how spicy it is was just wonderful. This tastes so good when mixed with some whole milk and a touch of agave syrup! It also saved me a little money by making it at home instead of going to a cafe before work.

Megan's Favorite:

The Item: Yes Cocktail Co No. 6 Blackberry Pomegranate Syrup

The Cost: $16.00

From: California Found

ACTIVE DEAL: Get free shipping to US addresses.
CODE: SHIPSFREE

Why I love it: I used this delicious syrup in a few cocktails but my favorite way to use it was just with sparkling water. It adds such an amazing berry richness to those bubbles! You need just a tiny amount to turn your everyday soda water into something truly special.

Ragan's Favorite:

The Item: Sweet Cheat Hot Chocolate

The Cost: $10.95

From: Fit Snack

Why I love it: This is sugar-free but it doesn't taste that way -- it's really good.  And it doesn't have too many calories. I don't feel guilty having this at all.

Becca's Favorite:

The Item: Wawel Nut Break Chocolate Bar

The Cost: N/A

From: Universal Yums

Why I love it: I honestly did not realize a bar containing chocolate and peanuts could get any better than a Snickers bar, but this milk chocolate bar tops the charts! I love the pairing of the milk chocolate with the salty peanut filling, it was so creamy and delicious! This bar had the perfect ratio of sweet and salty and left us wanting more!

Hi there, I'm Christen. I am all sorts of things:

🌳 a writer who loves to convey feeling

🌲 a mother who wants to have just as much fun as my kids do

🌳 an outdoors-lover who's achieved #1000hoursoutside with my family

🌲 a low-maintenance self-carer

🌳 a general hungry person with an unstoppable sweet tooth

You'll find me collecting stationery and squirreling away stickers, riding bikes and swimming with my family, creating outfits in colors and silhouettes that make me feel amazing, wearing big earrings, drinking beer and asking my husband to feed me harmonies to sing, taking my vitamins, living for dancing to live music, roping everyone into a craft, being human and vulnerable, and celebrating the phenomenon of being alive.

...and doing it all with energy, delight, and jokes along the way.
