Welcome to our monthly post highlighting our favorite discoveries from a variety of women's, beauty, and even dog subscription boxes! Here are our favorite items from the past month:

Marne's Favorite:

The Item: Rag & Bone Walker Convertible Tote

The Cost: Retail Value $425.00/ Purchased for $170.00

From: Rent The Runway

Why I love it: As soon as I unwrapped this leather tote, I knew I had to have it, not simply rent it. It's soooo roomy and has short straps as well as a crossbody strap which makes it ideal for lugging all my stuff around to work and school. It's practical, yet classy.

Savannah's Favorite:

2018 folly of the beast bottle by itself

The Item: 2018 Folly of the Beast Pinot Noir

The Cost: $18.99 (or $16.99 through the subscription)

From: Winc

Why I love it: Wine is just sophisticated grape juice for adults, and this bottle precisely embodies that notion. The fruit notes are super forward and balanced well by the dry finish. I'm not much of a red wine person, but I found this one hard to put down.

Haley's Favorite:

Surprisly January 2020 day out outfit 2

The Item: Musli Cozy Bodysuit in Lavender + Musli Baby Pants with Lily Print

The Cost: $22.18 for the bodysuit and $37.38 for the pants

From: Surprisly

Why I love it: I love this shade of lavender purple and the soft, ribbed fabric of the bodysuit. The pants are adorable, too, with drapey pleats that make them a little puffy and they have a ruffle on the side of the hips. Also, the floral print is pretty and the roll-down waistband seems very comfortable. We got a lot of compliments the day she wore this!

Krista's Favorite:

The Item: Tunisian Crochet Shawl

The Cost: $65.00

From: The Crafter's Box

ACTIVE DEAL: Get 25% off your first box!
CODE: GETCREATIVE

Why I love it: I love all fiber crafts and am an avid knitter and crocheter, but I have never tried Tunisian Crochet before. I absolutely loved learning this new technique, and I am crazy about how my shawl is turning out. I love the neutral walnut color, and the texture that is created by the simple stitches is just so pretty. I know I'm going to wear this wrap all the time once it's finished!

Christen's Favorite:

The Item: mountainFLOW Eco-Wax in Cool, 2 oz

The Cost: $15.95

From: Cairn

Why I love it: I was really excited to receive this plant-based snowboarding wax because it's been a couple of winters since I've hit the slopes (it's not recommended to snowboard while pregnant, and then the following winter I was still in the midst of experiencing New Mom Shock, haha) and it felt like a great sign from above that it's time to get my board back out! But the reason this product is my favorite of the month is for a different reason...do you remember my favorite from last month, the hand goo? You may notice it comes in a similar-sized tin to this wax? Yeah, there was a bit of confusion in my household, and this wax has now become our favorite hand moisturizer. A bit unconventional, perhaps, but I'll tell you what, we have some extremely soft hands over here!

Becca's Favorite:

The Item: Regular Brush Sign Pen (Black)

The Cost: $3.49

From: Paletteful Packs Art Box

ACTIVE DEAL: Save 10% off your first box!
CODE: FIRSTMONTH10

Why I love it: This sign pen has changed my life! I make lunch box notes for my kids every day, and the way this pen glides across the paper and creates beautiful lines and widths is amazing. A friend of my son told Hank that he just loves his notes and asked him how I make such cool drawings...my son's response: “She has a magic pen.”

Jessica's Favorite:

The Item: Biossance Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel

The Cost: $54

From: Biossance Skincare Mystery Box

Why I love it: It is rare that I find an eye cream I truly love, but this is the exact day eye cream I want to be using for the next year (or forever). It is a lightweight gel that absorbs into my skin very quickly, and along with squalane this also has aloe, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and caffeine. The texture works perfectly for my skin's needs, and this definitely adds a boost to my tired eyes on the mornings I use it.

Brandi's Favorite:

The Item: Charlie Hoop Earrings

The Cost: Retail Value $48.00

From: Your Bijoux Box

Why I love it: These earrings feel both timeless and also trendy thanks to their elongated geometric shape. They are lightweight and comfortable measuring at about 1 inch long made from brass with a 14k gold plate. They are also very versatile and will work with a dress for date night, or even with a more casual outfit. I feel stylish in them and can’t wait to wear them out!

Ragan's Favorite:

The Item: Instant Crush from Mancera

The Cost: Buy 4 oz for $180

From: LUXSB

Why I love it: This just covers everything I like in a fragrance -- it's an oriental floral without being too heavy on the floral, and the base has sandalwood, vanilla, and patchouli, which is probably my favorite combination. I have a huge fragrance collection at this point but this is the one I keep reaching for lately. I might actually have to cough up the money for a full-sized bottle.

Hi there, I'm Christen. I am all sorts of things:

🌳 a writer who loves to convey feeling

🌲 a mother who wants to have just as much fun as my kids do

🌳 an outdoors-lover who's achieved #1000hoursoutside with my family

🌲 a low-maintenance self-carer

🌳 a general hungry person with an unstoppable sweet tooth

You'll find me collecting stationery and squirreling away stickers, riding bikes and swimming with my family, creating outfits in colors and silhouettes that make me feel amazing, wearing big earrings, drinking beer and asking my husband to feed me harmonies to sing, taking my vitamins, living for dancing to live music, roping everyone into a craft, being human and vulnerable, and celebrating the phenomenon of being alive.

...and doing it all with energy, delight, and jokes along the way.

I agree with a Jessica on the Biossance eye gel. It is a great product and happy to have discovered. I am so jealous of the Rag and Bone tote.

I am seconding the Biossance eye gel. I got a sample size and a full size in my mystery bag and I’m hooked. I know eye cream is a scam but I love the feel of this gel and will definitely repurchase.
