Newby Me

i’m back and forth about cancelling because I don’t love the idea of NOT being able to pick anything that’s an option on my quarterly subscription. This is my second box so I’m just trying it out to see if I go all in or not and get the yearly membership after this one. That being said, if you give me the choice I tend to pick the same products over and over and maybe this is a way to push me a little to do something different. I like the purse and i’d pick the black one but I don’t hate any of them OR if I change my mind I’m sure I could gift it to a friend and it would be a nice enough gift. The purse alone is at least $60 retail if you check their website. My items last time around were all quite nice and though I bought the box to gift items for Christmas, the box didn’t arrive until January BUT honestly i’m not mad because I liked a lot of the items and kept them for myself happily. I LOVE the add on market. It is awesome and possibly the best perk of the subscription. So maybe i’ll just sit tight and see what comes in my box, it’s a little fun to give up control and i think it works because Causebox quality is nice, often cruelty-free which is important to me and it’s generally all my style so far. 🙂

When will they let us customize our boxes? This is my first time getting CauseBox

Reply ButtonReply

Kristin

Today! Customization is OPEN!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Sherry

off topic, but I LOVE those light blue pants, I need them in my life!

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

I was thinking the same!

Reply ButtonReply

Sam

Love every single item so far. Cause box is killing it…unlike FFF. I’m not even excited for a single item in my upcoming box.

LL

Jen,

If you log in, then select the cart, it appears you can scroll through all the items of the previous market which appear behind a pop-up/banner.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

Okay, thank you. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Diane

The market is now open for next
9 days.

LL

Sorry, meant the Causebox spoilers were starting to grow on me especially after the PSMH spoilers.

LL

Brand new member here, signed up for the winter welcome box which still hasn’t shipped yet (for me). Wasn’t super excited about the Spring spoilers (Especially after PSMH spoilers), but they are starting to grow on me. Then I took a look at the winter market and it is EXTENSIVE! Super excited for what they have available this season. At this point, I’m glad I didn’t skip, but at the same time scared for my wallet 🤷🏻‍♀️

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

It took a while to get the winter welcome. Mine arrived last week.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

How do I find the winter market?

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

I’m slightly disappointed. After the first spoiler, I was kind of hoping for a “eco friendly” theme, something kind of different. So far I feel like this is a bit of a repeat of last spring with the “vegan leather” bag and bandana.

However, I will say that I don’t like their new FFF like model of having At least half the items be customizable. It was a great perk to go annual and be able to select the color of one or two items, or chooses between the necklace or earrings. But now it just seems like too big a risk to subscribe without going annual, which turns me off a bit.

Reply ButtonReply

NinaSimone

I’m skipping this box. Aside from the purse, which is okay, everything else is just not going to work and is not even giftable.

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

I decided to purchase the box after seeing the bag spoiler. I tend to lean towards leather bags, but I had a couple of previous boxes with the portfolio and passport holder -the latter a product I wasn’t crazy about, but it turned out to be very useful and better than I thought – and I was impressed with the quality. And hopefully this bag will have a better sustainability (don’t yell at me if it doesn’t!)
While the Necklace/mascara spoilers didn’t make me overly happy (Too many similar items that I keep gifting Around), today’s spoilers intrigue me. I won’t be able to choose, but I hope to get the bandana (The planner looks beautiful though).
I’m not having buyer’s remorse so far!
I canceled my annual fff subscription because spring wasn’t That appealing to me and I was up for renewal, maybe in the future I’ll consider going annual with causebox, but first I should really going through all the products that I accumulated with my subscriptions.

Carol

So excited about these offerings! Will probably pick the grey purse as a color I have never had, we don’t have produce bags, so that’s a great addition, eyelash products as would never buy them retail, and would love the bandana for the purse but youngest daughter going through a nasty divorce after 15 years and the self care planner would be something she will find soothing and supportive, so will opt for that. Wonderful and a real treat.

Alice

Me, too. Love it.

Rebecca B Beteag

I love Causebox and have been pleased with every box I have gotten from them! I have enjoyed it so much, I have added another subscription. I find every box has more than $50 of things I like or use. The extras are great gifts. While the produce bags may not be for everyone, they are only 1/10 of the box value. I will use them, and give a set to my daughter in law. The purse is adorable and more expensive than the whole box! Love the Causebox quality, the unique products and the mission.

Reply ButtonReply

CT

I agree I’m super excited for this box 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

PudgeKat

I think they’ll have a hard time selling out of the spring box. The spoilers are too commonly found in subs- need uniqueness

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

It seems like a box of old ‘tat’ to me, you can buy equivalents elsewhere: plastic hand bag something I can buy for $10, straw grocery bags 50 cents, bandanna 50 cents gold coloured’ necklace $1, note book $2. I don’t get it, what am I missing here? Why would anyone spend $50 on this?

Reply ButtonReply

Cindy

Agree 100%. Zero interest in this one.

Melissa

After ordering several Causebox’s I have to agree. The spoilers always suck me in, but then I’m so disappointed with the quality of the items. I think the winter 2019 box was the worst. The blanket that was supposedly worth $100+ was incredibly thin and coarse, and just plain ugly. I agree with your assessment of the current box- the “vegan leather” (aka pleather. It’s not a quality or environmentally friendly material folks!) purse is an automatic turn-off, and everything else so far just seems pretty darn generic. I would imagine the produce bags are the equivalent of cheap cheesecloth, and how many journals does a person really need?

I think lots of people are willing to give this box a free pass since it’s supposedly supporting artisans/charity organizations/etc. I always feel like an all day sucker when it arrives though, and I’d be interested to see just how much “support” Causebox provides to these various causes.

Jenny

The purse is vegan leather, similar to Matt and Nat, very expensive stuff! The purse alone pays for this box.

mel

Wow, this just goes to show how different we all are… I LOVE a fresh new purse in the spring and with the colors of baby blue (my fav) and honey, they are great – they put black there for those that always like a black purse like those that mostly dress in black… I do not have cotton bags for produce and these are great for keeping my produce from rolling around in my larger totes and I love the wellness planner and scarf… These all seem like “fresh” items for spring season but I think it is easy to get sub box fatigue…

Cece

Man, I wish I could shop where you do. No way I could find this quality of the grocery bags and vegan purse for those prices. A cheap paisley bandana is at least a dollar here, and this one is much nicer. These bulk bags are cotton, not straw, and they even have the muslin ones for grains, and the well made ones like this last forever. Depending on size and material that run 4 to15 dollars each. Yes, I could get a skinny spiral notebook with a flimsy cardboard cover for a dollar or two,but this journal is bound, and not just blank. A dollar store gold necklace would be spray painted plastics.

Alice

Because we like Causebox.

Prescilla

You’re missing the quality. Generally, everything Causebox puts in their boxes is of a pretty good quality. For example, I’m wearing the bracelet from the Summer 2019 box without taking it off ever since I got it – that’s well over 6 months now, and I’m bathing with it, sleeping with it and occasionally putting hand cream and perfume on it. It still looks good. In comparison, my FFF jewelry is trash after 1 or 2 uses. Same experience with basically everything I have gotten from Causebox – I’m using some of the stuff for years now and still no complaints.

SheriH

I am choosing the purse in honey. I am grabbing the mascara too. Can we get both of something if we pay a little extra? I have had a rough time of it with illnesses and surgery. I would love to get the Wellness Journal to help me get back on track when I am better. I would like the bandana because I want to tie it on my purse. These boxes can’t win with some of you. What is they offered 2 sunglasses as a choice? Lots of us can’t wear sunglasses and you would be complaining about it.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

I agree, Shari. People were going gaga over those BOS monstrosity sunglasses and FFF cereal bowls, yet are complaining about Causebox. No one is forcing them to subscribe. If ya don’t dig it, don’t buy it! Simple as as that. Check with Causebox on purchasing an extra item. Theyve got a great CS department. I’m sending you good thoughts for healing. Enjoy your Causebox. I’m choosing the honey, too!

Amen

Treycko

Ok so many spoilers. Where are the spoilers for PSMH???? Are they still in business??

Reply ButtonReply

Cynthia

Spoilers start Thursday for PS.

Reply ButtonReply

Emilia

Another miss. Yet again, both items are from totally different categories. If I like this bandana, I’ll just buy it off someone.

Reply ButtonReply

B

I actually like different categories, it means if I don’t like one type, I can get another. If, say, I hate scarves, whatever color it’s on won’t matter. Less waste this way. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

I do, too, B.

Redhed36

Neither of chose 4 appeal to me. The planner would have been better off in the winter box. The only item that I’d really care to have is the eyelash serum.

Reply ButtonReply

Jaime

The planner isn’t even for a year. It’s only 12 or 15 (couldn’t zoom in enough) weeks. 😕

Reply ButtonReply

Joanne

I don’t think the planner is dated. You just start it when you start it. So it works for any season. 😊

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

@MSA Are we able to get any information about the planner? I tried searching and couldn’t find it.

Reply ButtonReply

Cynthia

On their website there is a similar planner coming out in March with an RV of $40. It has a different cover, but I would bet that the pages are the same or similar to this one. I personally would never use it so I guess it’s the bandana if I don’t skip.

Reply ButtonReply

Mary

I find it really unappealing when the items you choose from are vastly different. Makes the box feel like a random assortment of items rather than a carefully curated collection. I know everyone has different preferences, but curation is an important part of the sub box experience for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

So…can you cite a specific example of a ‘carefully curated’ box that appealed to you? I’m genuinely curious.

Reply ButtonReply

M.G.

Sunday Riley’s recent Sleep Box was an ideal curated box for me. I use everything in it daily, and all the items were something I would not have purchased for myself, but I really like them all, and together they give me a new experience / routine.

Mary

I think the Summer 2019 Causebox is a great example with all the items related to a day out at the beach or the pool.

JourneeBox has fabulous boxes based on locations, and Oui Please, despite its shipping frustrations, is another box that I think puts care into selecting quality items that complement each other. Oh, and GlobeIn is another sub with boxes that seems curated with care. 🙂

Beth in Oklahoma

Looks more like a recent FFF box. I agree about the curated experience being important.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristin

Can annuals skip? I’m regretting buying a year none of these items appeal to me.

Reply ButtonReply

PudgeKat

Yes email them I was able to skip

Reply ButtonReply

Christine Cohen

Ooo…I’m glad to read this. I want to skip this box!

Liz

Can you skip through the customization process, or do you have to email?

Reply ButtonReply

Jeannette

Email I believe

Reply ButtonReply

Cassie

Really wishing that bandana was in an adorable color and print like the box! Would’ve been so cute to tie on the bag

Kind of want the planner but I’m horrible at using such things lol decisions

Reply ButtonReply

mel

YES! That would have been adorable and a huge hit for CB!

Reply ButtonReply

AB

Does anyone know if you can skip a box when you have a yearly subscription?

Reply ButtonReply

gwarstar

Yes you can. I am yearly and I just emailed them to skip this month.

Reply ButtonReply

socaldeb

Purse is OK. but Causebox refers to that front pocket as a “phone pocket” and if it won’t fit phone and keys it doesn’t meet my purse criteria. I already have mesh produce bags, uninterested in the rest. Feeling like a skip this round.

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

I can’t decide which color purse I want! They’re all so cute. I also don’t usually like “vegan leather” but this one looks like better quality than most, which is often the case with Causebox. I’m picking the planner!

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

I’m going with Honey!

Reply ButtonReply

Jeanette

Sorry after Black Friday fiasco I am so done with Causebox.
