Does anyone know why the value is only going to be $143. In the explanation for what premium is, it clearly states that every box will be $175 or more. Shouldn’t they include another item to make the value be enough???

There has been a disclaimer on Boxy site since November that states the $175 does not apply in the event of a brand takeover

Thanks for that reply. I never would have seen that! I’m not complaining, really because the look great, but I was curious. There’s a lot of stuff going on with boxy I’ve been confused about. Thanks again

WhoKnows

The only way his total makes sense is if he’s agreeing that the sale price is the value. Otherwise, the next 2 items total $4. If he’s saying the palette is $29 and not $59, then the last 2 items total $34. These items are also from the beginning of 2019, if not prior to that. I’ll see if I get off of the list, since I don’t own any products, but I’d expect the real products and not something made in another country.

I’d really love to get confetti or unicorn! Any of the other colors would go up for swap, as will the trophy wife highlighter and the gloss. However, my local Sephora had the palette on display yesterday and I swatched the colors and fell in love. Some of the shades that look bland in the picture have a unique color shift in person and the shimmers were especially gorgeous. So even if the rest of the box all goes up for swap I am excited for the palette!

I was hoping I could skip this month, not a big fenty fan. I’ll sell you my box

Went from excited to disappointed really quickly…..

I’m on the waitlist since the beginning of this month. I think the selection is great and for the box price it’s worth it, especially if you wanted to try the brand or other items from the brand. So far the spoilers look good and I do hope to get off that waitlist.

I don’t know why so many people are complaining. BC can’t seem to win. I think this is great. A box full of items from a name brand. For the price it’s not bad. It’s about trying new items and coming out of our comfort zone. I personally think it’s not a bad box. Of course they aren’t going to put their best sellers in this box. Why would they loose out on money. They were nice enough to include six items from their line in exchange for the exposure.

Trying this brand feels like nothing but winning to me.

SquirrelyGirl

I dont get it either, but it seems like people are never impressed with any box anymore, not just BC. I’m just glad they still make me [and the people I gift/donate to] happy!

I gave both my neighbors a big bag of gifties last week and I got a sweet message from 1 that she found her new favorite clay mask and body wash! That’s what it’s all about for me!

Dalia

RIGHT??? I don’t understand what people want for $35. All that would buy me would be the palette, which I’ve been eyeing! So I get 5 basically free Fenty products thrown in.

Ugh. Was so excited to hear about a Fenty box but now each spoiler has me less and less thrilled. Seems like old unsold stock they are trying to unload. 2 highlighters that should have been choice items due to the shades. Sorry but they are not “universal”. Eyeshadow is on clearance and has reviews of being patchy. I’m excited for the gloss bomb but would have loved a more exciting flagship shade like Fu$$y. Expecting the next spoiler to be those bright colored liners on clearance currently.

I’m so excited for the March box, I don’t own anything Fenty and to me it doesn’t matter if they’re giving us items that are on sale or can’t sell. For $35 why complain. It could be old stuff but to me it’s new. I don’t understand why some grown woman always have to fuss and complain about subscription boxes, it’s supposed to be fun and exciting. Just remember that you are not paying full price for each item and if you don’t like what you see then there is a way to unsubscribe.

Alternatively, if you don’t like people commiserating or expressing their opinions about sub boxes, you don’t have to read them.

Julie

I seriously hope it is! I would love to try them out but hate dropping money on liners and I just got the colourpop color ones too. Pretty sure you’ll be able to swap most of the box or resell it easily if you dont love it. I’m actually kinda thrilled to try FENTI even if it is all stock they’re trying to get rid of. It’s what Jefrrey Star mystery boxes are too and they’re more expensive.

SquirrelyGirl

I’ll also be stoked if it’s the trio of liners or the glitter liner that is on clearance. I love them both! I’m really happy and excited for this box and what doesn’t work for me will certainly be swap worthy!

MzBev

The brand takeover box had such potential. Very sad spoilers of what will be included. Happy I’m not a member of premium. I think many signed up JUST for a Fenty box and will be disappointed.

Lori

Bummer. I was so excited when they announced this brand…so many gorgeous products they could have chosen. I’m not feeling any of the spoilers except maybe the palette. Crossing fingers the last 2 spoilers are AMAZING.

👀👀👀 I’ve been waitlisted for Premium since late January, so I may or may not be receiving the Fenty box.

But if I do, Boxy can feel free to send me all 5 of these Matchstix in lieu of the other items.

Aidan

I don’t really think of those as “universal shades”. I’m super pale and cannot imagine trying to use some of those colors on my skin. I also have oily skin and have never had a cream shadow actually stay in place they always melt and look awful after a couple hours no matter what.

While I think many people will be thrilled with this box, so far it is a complete dud for me in terms of color.

No matter how nice the product is, if the color doesn’t work, it is useless. I can’t use gold highlighter nor do I want purple, orange, yellow or brown shimmer sticks because they don’t work for my coloring.

It would have been nice if the colors had been a bit more universal – or if there was some kind of option like Fair/Light – Medium/Dark so at least there was some chance of getting colors that work.

Yes I have read that I can use the products as eyeshadows but I don’t need another gold eyeshadow in a pan that is intended to be used as a facial highlighter.

Lee

that’s how brown girls feel almost every box. Welcome to club. Brown girls definitely deserve love to. I’ve constantly got blush, bronzer, and highlights that do not work for me in boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Indygrr

Right! I can’t possibly make it though all the gold eye shadow I already have. I don’t need a giant pan of gold eye shadow/highlighter. So far, all four products are not good enough for me to want the box. I think the palette is pretty but I have so many already. It is time to cancel and let someone that really likes it have my spot. I need to use the products I have and just buy all the things I will never get from Boxy…like a normal lipstick…

Benita

I’m happy to finally receive a highlighter color I can use. Go Fenty!! Brown girls need love too 😘

Alice

Exactly. It’s rare to receive a good lip color in sub boxes. I just received my Feb. Look Fantastic box and – lo and behold! – a gorgeous, wearable lipstick by Illamasqua. Although it’s only sample sized, I thought I won the lottery, lol.

Lin

I was so excited for Fenty but those spoilers are underwhelming.😟 I think I’ll skip March (or cancel premium if that’s not an option)….

Premium boxes have been great but it’s also been irritating that they include sketchy filler no names like the Saint Luxe pencils and the 24k gold cream that can be found on AliExpress for a couple bucks.

Never thought I’d drop premium but might be time to move on..

Maria

I feel the same. My first two boxes were great but as the number of variants increased my satisfaction decreased. As with the base box in recent years I tend to get stuck with the junky variants or ones that are just all wrong for my skin type or coloring. Last month I got acne wash and a clay mask which are not going near my dry, red, sensitive skin. I’m anxiously awaiting my Feb box in order to decide whether to cancel Premium or not. When the Fenty box was announced I thought the decision had been made for me and I would at least wait until after March to make a change. But these spoilers are not good enough for me to stick around unless by some miracle I love this month’s box. Unfortunately after seeing some of the possible variants I have a feeling I will find that sketchy gold moisturizer, unwanted and overexposed-in-sub-boxes Korres body butter, and who knows what else on top of a palette that may be completely useless to me if it looks closer in color to the pic in MSA’s post than the one on the website. I’m not too upset though. I just subscribed to Tribe Beauty so I need to cut back elsewhere on my sub box spending anyway. I think it’s going to be a much better use of my $35.

Alice

Agree. None of these items suit me except the gloss, and I could certainly simply purchase it. The palette is pretty to look at (said this artist), but I wouldn’t use the majority of the hues. I’m out.

Paula

After finally getting off the wait list I had to cancel. Can’t justify the $ for products I can’t use. Too many glowy products. Premium seems to be geared for younger people. 🙂

Sara

Totally agree! I’m super pale and while the eyeshadow palette is beautiful; I know I will never use it. The highlighter looks straight yellow I can’t even imagine how that would look on me. Now this spoiler? I think I’m going to cancel and hope that I still get the items I ordered from the Boxy popup today.

Reply ButtonReply

Amber

right! I was really hoping to get the diamond shimmer, some good brushes, the universal lip, some setting powder, spray, mascara, primer…heck, even the blotting papers. At this point, I’m betting the final two products will be an extreme lip color and the glitter liner.

Jennifer

Can we skip a month?

Ashley

Does anyone know how many products will be in the premium box?

Reply ButtonReply

Shelly

6 items, Ashley

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

Oh man! Only 2 more items to go and none of the ones so far interest me. Hopefully the last 2 are something I will use 🤞🏼

Bonnie

I hope I get the purple one!

Michelle

Ugh…wish we had a skip option. Not diggin most of the spoilers for premium next month, oh well, I’m loving my February premium so I guess you can’t win ‘em all🙂

Shoot Girl….I’m HOPING I get off the waitlist in time for this box! (Been 3 months) If I dont I will definitely buy your box! 😉

Just watched the video on Sephora website. Can use it as blush, highlighter, eyeshadow.

Chelsea

How do most people use the match stix? I’ve never used anything like that before. Thanks!
