Sock Panda is a monthly sock subscription service. With each shipment, you’ll receive a surprise selection of quality socks from their own house brand with plenty of eye-catching colors and unique designs.

According to the Sock Panda site, this subscription’s products are designed in Venice, CA and made in a family-run factory in Lima, Peru. Sock Panda is committed to making the world a better place— as of January 2018 the company has donated nearly 100,000 socks to homeless shelters, low-income senior centers, hospitals, and under-privileged classrooms throughout the country!

Sock Panda offers subscriptions for men, women, teens, and kids ages 3-8. When you sign up, you’ll pick some style preferences (Wild & Crazy, Patterns & Prints, or One of Each) and note whether you’d like to receive one or two pairs per month.

This review is of the Women’s 2-pair “Wild and Crazy” subscription for $20 a month.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

My January 2020 Sock Panda Review

When you join Sock Panda, you can choose between one or two pairs of socks a month. You also can choose between “wild & crazy,” “patterns & prints,” or one of each. I chose to receive "wild & crazy" because I love pairing wild socks with my black dress slacks!

Banana Socks

As soon as I pulled these socks from the packaging, I couldn't help but hum the Gwen Stefani "Hollaback Girl" song to myself! I am loving the bright blue base of these socks, and how adorbs are the bright yellow bananas sprinkled throughout? Are you noticing anything missing from these socks though? Where are the "Sock Panda" and "Give Back" logos?! These socks are a solid color, which I think is a first from this subscription, and they don't feature their usual branding. The fit of the socks is also a bit different; they seem to be slightly stretchier and a little shorter than the usual socks, which is something I actually prefer! The tag lists 80% cotton, 15% polyester, and 5% spandex as the materials.

Pink and Orange '70s Socks

How groovy are these socks? The vibrant color scheme and pattern remind me of something Jackie from "That '70s Show" would wear! With our freezing, gloomy days, these socks have given me a hope of spring with the bright colors! Like the banana-themed socks, these also are missing the "Sock Panda" and "Give Back" logos. I am curious to see if this will be the new norm? While they are certainly colorful, I didn't find these to be quite as crazy as usual. They have the same fit as the other pair of socks and seem to be slightly stretchier than previous pairs - giving my athletic calves a bit more wiggle room.

Verdict: Sock Panda is tons of fun! I am signed up for the wild and crazy socks and usually, I get some doozies. This month seemed a little tame, and as I said above, they were missing the usual branding on the toes and bottoms. I wear a size 10, and these socks stretch perfectly to accommodate my large foot and are very comfortable. While I don't mind the higher sock, to me, this height was perfect. I can't wait to see what February brings!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You might not get this exact set if you place your order today.

Value Breakdown: This subscription costs $20.00 total for two pairs of socks, meaning each pair is $10.00.

Cute socks! The problem I have with a lot of these sock subscriptions is that the tops are tight. By the end of the day, they have cut off circulation to the point that my ankles are swollen. (I have normal size ankles.) I have MANY socks that don’t do this so I don’t understand why so many are made that way. I don’t know if it’s cheap production or what. Curious as to what you thought of the fit around the top of these two pairs? Thanks for the review!

Thanks for commenting Cheryl! I found these socks to be a lot stretchier on the tops than the traditional sock Panda socks, so they fit a little more comfortably. Hope that helps! ❤️
