QVC TILI x It's All Chic to Me December 2019 Review

A small change I noticed with this new subscription model is the info sheet has notes about the items and tips on how to use them. Before, the info sheets would usually just include the ingredients of each item.

Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Water in Medium, 6.76 oz - Retail Value $28

I have used the face drops from this brand before and had good results, so I love that a full-size bottle of this was included in the box. The green base of this tanning water is also designed to neutralize redness (something my skin has plenty of), and while you mist it on I recommend rubbing it in with a tanning mitt.

ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream, 0.5 oz - Estimated Value $48 (Buy the 1 oz version for $96)

I will always take an ELEMIS sample- they are a pricy line that I would never purchase the full-size versions of, and this sample is especially expensive. This night cream will work best for those who have dry skin- it has shea butter, jojoba, and avocado oils to deeply hydrate, and it also has plant extracts to give your skin a boost of nourishing minerals.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder, 0.31 oz - Retail Value $30

I haven’t used a pressed setting powder in a while, but I love this stuff. It really does a good job of blending into my foundation for a more seamless look, and it helps to control the oil that my nose loves to produce. I have been reaching for this almost exclusively since receiving it in the box (sorry to the other three open setting powders I currently have), and I imagine I would love this even more during the summertime when the humidity and heat rise.

Caj Beauty Volumizing Finishing Spray in Vanilla, 2 oz - Estimated Value $5.60 (Buy the 10 oz version for $28)

This product is a miss for me. I don’t really use volumizing sprays with my hair, and if I’m going to I’m not going to reach for one that's vanilla-scented (and therefore will compete with whatever perfume I am wearing). I do like that this is sulfate-free and has protein from multiple sources like soy, rice, and wheat, and if you like scented hair products and need help with volume this may be worth checking out.

Too Faced Damn Girl! 24-Hour Mascara, 0.20 oz – Retail Value $13

I really like this mascara- it gives me the dramatic volume that I want from a mascara, and it pairs well with lengthening mascaras if I’m going for bold, long lashes. When going in with multiple coats I have to take care to avoid clumping, but that only adds an extra second or two to my overall routine.

You can see me wearing it here!

Soon Skincare Strawberry Lip Mask, 0.10 fl oz - Retail Value $4

I like Soon masks (I’ve had a few through subscription boxes) but I genuinely feel that their products are overpriced by a few dollars. If I ever ran out of masks and had to buy my own, I wouldn’t reach for this brand unless there was a major sale going on. All of that aside, this lip mask is made with collagen, aloe vera, and strawberry extract. The strawberry extract has some natural exfoliating properties while the aloe and collagen hydrate and plump. If you have super chapped lips I don’t see this taking care of those, but I enjoyed using this before getting ready to do my makeup one day.

Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, 0.03 oz - Estimated Value $0.72 (Buy the 0.5 oz version for $12)

I am no stranger to Moisture Surge, and while it isn’t my favorite it can get the job done hydrating my skin without leaving me an oily mess. This has a light gel texture that would be especially good for oily skin in warmer months

Supersmile Mini-Deluxe Professional Whitening System, 0.42 oz total – Estimated Value $4.31 (Buy a full size here for $80.00)

I got a massive container of the whitening toothpaste in a different box that I am slowly working my way through, and on its own, the whitening toothpaste makes a noticeable difference in the whiteness of my teeth. When I add the accelerator, I see even more of a difference. As pricy as this stuff is, I recommend reaching for it if you’re concerned with the whiteness level of your smile

The Verdict: This was a great box- three individual items each had a value higher than the cost of the entire box. I don't love that a foil sample was included, but considering the total value of this $25 box is $133.63, I'll let it slide.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? Unfortunately, this box is sold out.

Value Breakdown: This box cost $25 with free shipping, which means you are paying the following per item:

  • Isle of Paradise: $5.24
  • ELEMIS: $8.98
  • IT Cosmetics: $5.61
  • Caj Beauty: $1.05
  • Too Faced: $2.43
  • Soon Skincare: $0.75
  • Clinique: $0.13
  • Supersmile: $0.80

Thanks for the tip. I clicked on the link above and it took me to the January box. Now it’s giving me trouble with my PayPal. 😆

Sort of annoyed that this post says the December box is still available when it’s not. I wanted to buy it. I find it frustrating when reviews come out after the boxes are sold out!

Is this box still available? I don’t see it anywhere on the website

I just went through the link in this review, clicked shop this box, then just below the description there’s a couple of others that are there. This one and the advent one are listed for sure. After I clicked on this box, it had a pop up about starting a monthly subscription.
I hope this helps!

Thanks, Luna! The January box looks great! I love that they have 2 lip products in it along with all the skincare.

You’re welcome! It does look like a good box 🙂 I’m most intrigued by the IT lip product. I guess I’ve been living under a rock, because I had no clue IT did lip products. lol

Tanning water turned my orange. If you have yellow tones in your skin don’t even try. Tanners are always iffy. Coola tanner for the face I’ve had good luck

The SOON brand and Supersmile brand were both in the recent New Beauty Test Tube. Not a fan of the SOON brand after that, but good to try. Great review.
