The Item: Hot Italian Pork Sausage and Brussels Sprouts with Bucatini Pasta

Why I love it: December is one of the most predictably stressful times of the year, so it's no surprise that I turned to pasta for comfort. This Blue Apron dish was well-spiced, light on the sauce, and had a really pleasant mix of savory sprouts and sweet onions. The best part of all had to be the bucatini, because when slurped at just the right angle, it made a fun little whistling sound. Who doesn't love a musical accompaniment with dinner?

Why I love it: Yes to PB cups and YES to organic fair-trade sweets! These are smooth, creamy, and just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth after a meal. Plus, they are heart-shaped!

Why I love it: It is a box of cheese ya'll! Of course I had to select this entire box for my food choice this month! While the price tag makes this a once a year splurge, I had so much fun setting up the cheeseboard with Marne and enjoying it with others in the MSA office. It was beautifully curated and beyond delicious!!

Why I love it: I've now tried all the flavors of these snacks and, surprisingly, these were my favorite. They smell like coffee, but don't taste like it so much, so I'm probably just responding to the dairy and sugar in here with a hint of chocolate.

Why I love it: This beautiful box was the item I was most excited for this month. Just look at the delicate tissue paper and gold sticker! Once you open that up, you see a gorgeous layout of traditional cashew baklava, with a special stringy pistachio one in the middle. Not only do they look amazing, but they are utterly delicious! My kids and I had these polished off in no time!

Why I love it: I knew these would be a favorite of the month for me as soon as I tried them! They are SO good. The dark chocolate flavor is great and the roasted chickpea is nutty and a little tender. It feels like eating chocolate-covered peanuts but healthier! One serving (which is almost 30 pieces - a really nice portion! A big handful.) has 160 calories, 4g protein, and 2g fiber. I've already ordered more - a variety pack of this dark chocolate flavor, a milk chocolate, mocha, and a honey sesame flavor (which is amaaazing). The honey sesame has a serving of 37 pieces for 130 calories, 5g protein, 3g fiber, and 7g sugar. I'll be ordering these as snacks for a while, I can tell. Yum!
