LiveGlam KissMe 'Rich Rich' January 2020 Review

This collection has a 'Rich Rich' theme this month.

LiveGlam KissMe Matte Liquid Lipstick in 'Royalty' – Retail Value $10.00

Oh dear. I thought this shade would be more of a baby pink on me, but I could probably use this as a concealer if it wasn't a matte formula. This is a really unflattering shade on my fair skin, though the formula is the same matte finish that LiveGlam is famous for. It did have full-coverage too, so if this shade works for you, you will have no issues with a streak-free application.

LiveGlam KissMe Lip Gloss in 'You Fancy' – Retail Value $10.00

Ok, this is better. I really like the LiveGlam gloss formulas and wish we saw them more often. I like them even more than the matte formula! This is a very natural sheer pink which complements my natural lips really well, just adding a pinch more color. I really like this shade because it fits in with a very natural makeup look, which is what I usually wear each day.

LiveGlam KissMe Matte Liquid Lipstick in 'Lavi$h' – Retail Value $10.00

I do not feel lavish in this shade at all. I really struggle to pull off shades like this one because they do not complement either my skin or hair. Like the first matte this month, the formula is great! The color, however, is not for me.

Verdict: This month's KissMe collection probably wasn't the best for me because I am super fair. I did really, really love the gloss though, so it wasn't a total wash. I generally love at least 2 out of the three shades sent, if not all three, so this month is out of the ordinary for sure. I am thinking I might have better luck in February!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I really wanted to love my subscription to this box but I am also quite fair skinned and found that I was lucky if i was able to get one shade out the three every month to look alright on me. Why does it seem they always send out so many unwearable shades ?

Goodness! Colors 1&3 look good on absolutely no one. This should have never been a thing, let alone be a thing again. The center shade is nice enough, I like that formula better.

Sss

omg that first one actually cracks me up. Who – and I mean *who* – exactly is that shade supposed to flatter?

I hate this trend so much.

If you find out, let me know! 😉

Hoo boy…Megan you have amazing lips and can rock darn near any color but those 2 paler/orange-ier shades do not do you any justice, which stinks! Royalty looks nowhere near the color on the card and kudos to the person that can make Lavi$h look good.

Thanks so much Marie! I think I can pull off *most* colors, but I finally found a few that I certainly can’t. I was also surprised by Royalty. I thought it would be pinker.

Hey Megan, having a shade like Royalty around is a great way to lighten shades that may be too dark (if you’ve ever put on a liquid lipstick and thought “YIKES that is NOT what I was going for today!” You’ll see why that can be useful in a pinch!). Just dot it over the darker shade and blend with a finger in a patting motion! This has saved my makeup on many occasions!

Oh this is a good idea, Chelsea! I think at this point I just have so many lipsticks that I don’t even think to customize them. I feel like it would also work great on making an ombre look?
