Ellie Women's Fitness Clothing & Gear "Boss Babe" November 2019 Review

At the beginning of each month, Ellie releases new collections. You can choose which one you want or skip that month if you don't want any of them.

A matching shiny envelope holds an invoice of your goodies and, this month, the Winter edition of their mini-magazine.

Zobha Shoshana Long Sleeve Top, M

I love this long sleeve tee. It's slinky and soft with a longer curved hem and slits at the cuffs. I find that it's perfect for layering since it's thin. The scoop neck provides plenty of coverage when leaning over or working out.

Zobha Charley Legging, M

These leggings have a soft, brushed feel to them and are warm enough for cooler temperatures. The wide, high rise waistband smoothes my midsection without constricting and the Coolmax gusset provides some airflow. Although these aren't sheer, they are thin and show texture (lumps and bumps) around my hip area so I'd always wear a longer top to give some coverage.

Peace & Pearlz Janis Flyaway Shearling Vest, M

This vest is the reason I picked this collection! The front wrap panels are faux fur and the back is ribbed knit so the whole vest is cozy and comfortable. I love that I can wrap myself up when lounging. The length pairs perfectly with the long sleeve top and is long enough to cover my rear in these leggings. Also, Nala wants this vest for herself which is why she's very interested in being in my photos. 🙂

Zobha Crossbody Bag

Fanny packs are back! Although, wearing them around the belly is dated, wearing them crossbody style or at the lower back is in. This bag has a big main compartment and a smaller compartment on both the back and front. An adjustable strap makes adjusting length a breeze and ripstop nylon means no tearing. I think this is going to be great for travel. I do wish it was in a more neutral color like black or grey – this pink is a little much for my outfits.

Zobha Reversible Hot & Cold Eye Mask

I love that a hot/cold eye mask is included this month. Most people have used a cold eye mask before (to reduce puffiness) but a warm eye mask feels so comforting and helps relieve tired eyes. The outer panel is sequin flip fabric and the inner panel is velvet. The gel bead pack comes out for chilling and heating (do not heat the cover) and so you can hand wash the cover when needed.

Verdict: I love my Ellie collection selection this month. The vest is my go-to comfort piece and the top is great for layering with other wardrobe basics. This month, I didn't receive a sports bra which is fine with me. I love receiving an outfit plus 2 extra pieces of workout gear. It makes getting ready for a workout more fun when I have coordinating outfits. I like how subscriber-friendly Ellie's site is too; I can log on to skip the month, choose which outfit I want, or adjust my sizes at any time.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll be selecting from the current month's selections, which may include this collection. Check out our latest spoilers here! If you are a subscriber, you can pick up past collections (if they are available) in the shop.

Value Breakdown: The five-item box costs $49.95. That means that the average cost per item is $9.99.

I agree, Meg! I also associate it with MLMs, and not in a good way.

I hate the term ‘Boss Babe’ and wish people would stop using it. It’s terrible, stupid and infantilizing. We don’t qualify male leadership with ‘Boss Hunk’ or ‘Boy Boss’ so why do people still do it for women?

I agree!! It is right there with “on trend”. Hate that, makes my skin crawl. Why on earth would you want to look like everyone else??

I feel that way about using the word “glow” to describe radiant skin. Why would you want your skin to glow lol

I got this set because of the vest too, but I’m not a fan. I felt like it looked more like fur online and more like a blanket in person. It also seems to lay awkwardly & fit big. I really like the fit & feel of the shirt but the slit in the sleeves make it really hard to do anything, including going to the bathroom lol! They just hang there in the way of everything & you cannot push them up or anything. I love the leggings though, they are soooooo soft!
