Stitch Fix Kids Boys Styling Service December 2019 Review

In every Stitch Fix Kids Fix, they include a pre-paid shipping envelope for returns.

I think it is cute that the information sheet has a maze on it for your kid, plus stickers!

Here's the item list of the clothing they selected for my son, and their individual prices. The items total $168 but with my $20 styling fee applied, and the keep-everything 25% off discount, the total adds up to be $148.00.

The reverse of that card shows photos of each item (which I love because it makes it easy to reference the pricing sheet).

Joules Boot Slippers by Joules, size S - Cost to Keep $20

Can I get a pair of these in my size?? These slipper boots feel so cozy inside! Unfortunately these were just a little too snug on my son's feet. He liked the rocket ships, though, and they glow in the dark, too.

Reggie Long Sleeve Graphic Tee by Hollywood the Jean People, size 5 - Cost to Keep $18

This shirt is really funny - the front says "Beware: Big Bear Hugs" and it has the graphic of a bear on the back hugging the kid wearing the shirt from behind. Gideon laughed at this a bunch. The fit is also nice - we had no issues with the length or arms being short which can often be a problem for him even in the right size, depending on the cut or style of the tee.

Rafael Statement Pullover Crew Shirt by Hollywood the Jean People, size 5 - Cost to Keep $22

Another bear! Gideon instantly knew this bear had a headband for exercising and started doing what his toddler idea of "working out" is, haha. It's cute, it's cozy, and he liked the graphic, too.

Roger Two-Pack Solid Printed Joggers by Flapdoodles, size 5 - Cost to Keep $28

These jogger pants came in a two-pack with a solid black pair and a blue pair with a controller and iPod print. We're big into tech and gaming over here so we were both excited to see those! I really wanted to like these, but they just felt a little thin for $14/pair to me, and the fit was a little too baggy. Gideon says they were super comfy but I think he's already got some soft pants like this that fit him much better.

Colin the Classic Stretch Full Zip Hoodie by Primary, size 4/5 - Cost to Keep $20

Primary is one of my all-time favorite kids brands! I mentioned this in our notes to our stylist so I was happy to see some included in our Fix. This hoodie is made of a good quality 95% cotton/5% spandex material. It has a nice thickness to it and seems comfy. Gideon already has this exact hoodie in a light grey, so we didn't keep this one, but I'm looking forward to getting Primary in future Fixes!

The Classic Long Sleeve Twofer Tee by RUMI + RYDER, size XS - Cost to Keep $18

How cute is this tee? I love the "twofer" look with the sleeves! I think the fit is absolutely perfect on Gideon (he's officially sizing into big boy sizes! He has grown so big!) and we love space and science and think the graphic is great. Definitely a keeper.

Ali Pull-On Skinny Knit Denim by Flapdoodles, size 5 - Cost to Keep $24

These knit jeans are fantastic. The construction feels solid, yet they still have some good stretch to them. The waist hits Gideon in the right spot and he says they feel nice and are easy to run in.

Thiago the Cozy Classic Full Zip Hoodie by Primary, size 4/5 - Cost to Keep $24

Another Primary hoodie, but this one is their "Cozy" line, which is thicker and softer on the inside. The hood is jersey-lined, too. It's very warm, and is different enough from their regular hoodie that we already have that I'm really considering keeping it, especially for wearing in his car seat.

Fidel All Over Print Crew Neck by Sovereign Code, size 5 - Cost to Keep $18

This was Gideon's favorite shirt in our December Fix. I love the colors, and he loves the robots and lightning bolts! He used to wear pullover sweaters all the time but I don't think he has any in his current size.

Joe's Jeans Kids 3 Piece Cardigan Woven Outfit by JOE'S JEANS KIDS, size 5 - Cost to Keep $32

I think this 3-piece outfit looks so sharp on him, and the price is really great for 3 pieces! The navy cardigan is versatile and would go well and dress up any outfit. The button down fits perfectly and is made of a nice, soft fabric. And the pants are a rust color I wouldn't have thought to buy myself, but I think goes really well with the navy and other colors he wears often.

The Verdict: This month's Fix from Stitch Fix Kids for Gideon was great! I think everything really fit well (except the slippers) and was spot-on for his style and what he likes to wear. The only thing I didn't love was the joggers, even though I loved the print. Overall, I love the quality of items Stitch Fix sends; the pieces we've kept over the months have held up very well. I think the prices are pretty reasonable for such quality, too. It's nice that they send so many items in each Fix - even if you just want to pick one item so you don't lose out on your styling fee, it's not hard to find at least one thing you really love without spending much more than you already have with your fee, so you never lose out on that. I really wanted to keep just about everything this month!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this Fix if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates Fixes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. You might get the same item or two if you also get clothing for a toddler boy, but you could get something that fits your child's style and size even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This styling service costs $20 (styling fee) with free shipping and returns. The total value of the items inside this month is $224 according to Stitch Fix's invoice sheet. The invoice lists the cost of each individual item, and if I were to keep all of them then I get a 25% discount. The $20 styling fee for the fix is applied to the purchase no matter how many items you keep and, in this case, it would bring the total down to $148 if I kept everything. That's a total discount of about 34%.
