  1. Birchbox now has 3 categories in sale: 60%, 59% and 40% off!

    I made a $50 purchase & it bumped me up to Ace status… oops. 😂

  2. I just received an email saying my resent order will not include an item I ordered. Umm which order and which item?! If it’s the bonus that I really wanted, They can keep the rest

    • I received the same email during the last BB sale (black friday I think – it was the 60% off deal). It turned out the missing item was the promo item that I used a code for… I was definitely not happy!
      This time around, I placed a couple orders and the promo code items were there, but one of the orders was missing the bonus items that were promised with a $50 order (per the popup in the cart). This is one of the rare times that I’ve ordered from their shop, and I feel like their tech team and shipping team need some work to update the site and ship correctly… luckily for them the deals are really great otherwise I’d have quit after the last sale 🙂

  4. I just got my shipment and it is honestly the best deal I’ve gotten all year! I got 2 full size bottles of amika dry shampoo, 2 arrow lip balms, a Cynthia Rowley eyeliner, the polished nails set, and a LOC shadow stick trio for $51. Then added to my order I got the free sample pack, a date night limited edition box and a sample trio that I wasn’t expecting. Loved it!

    • Yeah, I think a lot of people missed that Birchbox was also advertising a “free gift” with every purchase for several days. It was just a little text banner above your cart.

      What 3 bonus items did you get? I got It’s a 10 Miss America edition, Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream (woo hoo!) & Coola Dawn Patrol SPF 30 primer.

      • I saw the banner but didn’t get the three free items! Bummed!

      • I placed 2 orders and got the same 3 items. I also got a free mystery birchbox and it was from December 2017!!!

  5. Tried placing an order last night at 9pm PST and it would not honor the discount. What a bummer.I had almost $200 worth of product in my cart.

  6. I got the Hello Hygge box, a free mystery Birchbox, 2 free samples, and a mystery gift with purchase for $32 after tax w/ free shipping. I definitely feel like I stacked up. I just hope I don’t regret getting the Bombas socks instead.

  7. I also gave up because everything I chose from the 50% off section kept showing as only 30% off during checkout. Disrespectful again of customer time.

    Also, the perfume that they refused to sell me last time at the advertised discount also listed as 50% off during this sale, which just adds insult to injury.

    Birchbox needs to do better. :/

  8. A lot of the items in the 50% off category are still coming up at only 30% off. I read comments in the first sale thread that they will adjust it when you contact them, but I wonder….
    Not like I need to place any more orders, but a few things have popped up that I’d bite on at 50% off, but not 30%! I wish their tech dept. would just get it right so I don’t have to worry about calling/emailing :-/

    I already ordered: fragrance kit, 2 hair kits, and 1 nails kit. I was hoping to get a separate nail kit as a gift, but I hemmed and hawed too much and now it’s gone. Better safe than sorry – I can’t guarantee it’s something I’d end up gifting, so there’s a possibility I’d just keep it………. I am not a hoarder, I promise!

    • CMB, they fought with me on this yesterday and didn’t want to give me the 50% on an item after I checked out. I had a few things in my cart so I didn’t notice the difference in the deduction. It was an item clearly listed in the 50% off section & luckily I had screenshots and didn’t give up. Today I placed another small order which showed up properly when I placed the order but then they charged my credit card full price out of the blue. Luckily I get alerts on my phone or I wouldn’t have known.

      • @Rochelle – Whoa! That’s crazy….so the pending charge was full price, but did it go back to 50% when it actually posted to your account? I have seen that with 1-2 different sites** so I just wait till things post to panic. Based on your experience I am glad I didn’t mess with the wrong-discount items!

        **A couple years ago, LUSH charged me 8 times for a single order during their Boxing Day sale! I saw all of them in the pending charges and assumed the excess would drop off when posting (as is usual with most sites). They did not, and ended up on my next bill because the closing date must’ve been right when they posted! I really was pretty angry about that – because it was something like $85 x 8. So the moral to the story is…. I guess nothing, because it’s unbelievable how much these companies have insane website operations!

    • I was shopping late last night and had a bunch of things in my cart and I did notice both 30% off and 50% off as my discounts. I had to take everything out of my cart one by one to determine what was actually 30% off. I am not going through contacting them about it. It takes away from my time and makes me aggravated. So I ended up not getting the 30 % off item. There was just one. Anyways, money saved

  10. I got the Oribe limited edition set, Advent Calendar, free mystery pack and free heat protection hair kit with $100 purchase for $47.97. I didn’t need anything of course but couldn’t pass up this deal. The free heat protection kit comes with a full size texturizing spray

  11. Don’t forget to get your free gifts with purchase. The codes work with the subtotal! So if its $100 before the 50% off you can still get the free gift for a $100 purchase.

    • I tried a bunch of codes and none of them worked with mine! I had $120 before discounts…

      • Nevermind. Always add the mystery sample pack FIRST! 😀

  12. I got the Hygge box and the Soothe your Scalp kit, and added the free samples, so I was able to get free expedited air shipping since my order before discount was over $100. My total paid was only $44! And got the Bombas socks with the promo code!

    • I had my eye on the Soothe your Scalp, but this was yesterday when that kit was still totaling to 30% off instead of 50%. Then I read the reviews and many said the Oribe sample was missing? I ordered the other kit with the full size Oribe scrub since that was essentially the same price yesterday ($22.50 for the Detox vs $21 for the Soothe).

      But anyway… be sure to post when your kit arrives. I would hope they’d have fixed the missing sample problem by now, but you never know!

  14. Is there a way to filter by something aside from “skin concern” or things like that? My favorite items are lifestyle items but I can’t seem to find those without doing a lot of scrolling.

    • Maybe you can try brands?… but I guess that’ll only work if you know what lifestyle brands you’re looking for.
