Hi all, I just got my box today. I was given the option to select items (I selected the cheese board and I can’t remember what else). It was definitely a selection and not the quiz (but I did have to go through the quiz before it showed me options to select). I didn’t receive anything I picked. Instead I got: Lavido body lotion, a gold and opal Ettika necklace, Whish sleep mask and a Yumi Kim cosmetic bag/case. I also did not receive the Spongelle sponges I added on to this box.

I contacted them today as I didn’t receive my Korres body butter or Moroccan gold hair mask. He explained the error, which I’m used to this stuff from them. He processed those items and gave me a credit for 10 also, which I didn’t ask for. I just wanted my products or a refund back to my card.

I also got this same box and did not get my add ons. I had to call to find out that you only get the add on if you stay for the seasonal box. I chose to just get a refund.
It’s all very strange. They give us the option to choose 3 products and we don’t get them. We get a chance to do add ons and don’t receive them. Just weird!

Did they refund you for just the add ons or for the box too? I find it super shady that they don’t automatically refund us for the add ons.

My box is going to be here this week and from what I’ve heard everyone else got the starter boxes from before that were $5. I’m pretty pissed off that I paid $9.99 for something I paid $5 for a month ago. It’s deceiving to call this a “mini box” and charge $9.99 when all it really is is the $5 starter box. I’m also pissed that they let you customize 3 items when they have no intention of sending you those items. The add on situation has me even more upset though, I added on a $7 Spongelle under the assumption that it would come with my “mini box” because why else would they let you add it on when you are completing your “mini box” order? I emailed CS saying I want a refund for my spongelle add on. This whole situation is ridiculous and definitely does not make me want to further my membership with FabFitFun.

I got mine today. It’s the exact same as the Xmas Mini Box. Very disappointed as it let me pick items originally. If I’d have known it was the same I wouldn’t have ordered it.

I don’t understand why Fabfitfun would give us the option to customize our mini box if what we pick we won’t get?
Not only does that require a extra step for them, but it also leads the customers to feeling misled.
I was pleased with my Black Friday $5 boxes and would have definitely paid $10 for them, but I didn’t get to customize and was ok with whatever.
However, this time I had the opportunity to customize and was hoping to get the AMIKA flat iron I picked.

I just ordered with the deal and it let me customize but I wish I had read these comments before ordering. If we dont recieve the products we chose that really sucks and I’d rather just have my money back. They need to be transparent about this kind of stuff because this definitely is fraudulent. They shouldn’t let people customize their mini box If they have no intention of honoring those customizations

Okay so I received one of the Black Friday mini boxes and it didn’t have any of the fall items in it. I got a Spongelle, grown alchemist moisturizer, and some hair stuff.

As some other comments have said I was directed to customize my 3 items for this starter box with the Fall box options. I wanted to mention that Amika polish perfection mini straightener brush was available as an add on option for $11 (retail $35), so I was pretty excited to purchase to try out this tool.

I ended up purchasing this deal, and it had me customize 3 products from the Fall box. I don’t know if that’s what I’ll be receiving or not. But I got to choose the straightener, a wallet, and a pair of earrings. Then it also had add-ons available for purchase. So I guess we’ll see what I actually receive!

I did a new account just to see as well. I customized the first three items and completed the order. Then I chatted with the live rep. She said the mini box is what we select in the customizations. So from what she said we’ll get only the 3 items we selected – unless you picked addons too. The 3 customizations were definitely from the fall box, with mystery options as usual. So we’ll see if that holds true.

So odd that it had me customize for a fall box when the Amikas were definitely sold out, as they couldn’t send replacements to people that had them malfunction. I had canceled my annual and decided to sign back up with this deal but not really interested in the fall items. I hope they are different then what is shown and not fall.

It appears mini boxes are starter boxes, but FabFitFun is NOW trying to charge $10. If you know anyone who is a FabFitFun member, just have them send you a free starter box invite. Because you can get one for only $5.00.

Rosette it was definitely customization for the box and not an item quiz. It said customize your box, it gave 3 options to customize from or let them choose for you in each category. At the end when I looked in my cart it showed the three items I chose plus the one thing I added on as what is coming in my box. I dont know If we will actually get what we chose but I do know that it was product customization and not an item quiz. Not sure where you are getting your info from but it is 100% incorrect.

This box is just the STARTER box. You do NOT get customization for this box. The quiz selection quiz you took was just to get to know you if you stay for the ACTUAL $50 box.
I repeat… YOU DO NOT GET CUSTOMIZATION FOR THIS STARTER BOX.

I really dislike when someone tries to make someone else feel stupid.
First of all, yes I was given the option to CUSTOMIZE my choices….
From those choices I chose a flat iron, a wallet and a face/body scrub.
All of this AFTER I did the quiz.
Perhaps this is a fluke on Fabfitfun’s part, but we did get the option to customize our boxes after the quiz.

You clearly didn’t order using the code because, after the quiz, it does ask you to customize. Then it gives you choices from the Fall Box. That’s why people are so confused.

I want to know the same thing. MSA wrote in the details of the offer: “Your first Box will be the Fall Box. Your next Box will be the Winter Editors Box”. I don’t know if that’s a typo, or if they STILL have sooo many Fall boxes to get rid of that they’re letting them go for $10?? ……..but then it wouldn’t be a “mini”. LoL. I need clarification.
