Love the box! Was really hoping for the spoons and I got them and they are gorgeous. Worth the wait. I got the Black Friday bundle and the portfolio fits my laptop which I wasn’t expecting so I am super excited! I did get the earrings though and I don’t have pierced ears so if anyone wants to trade for the hair clips just leave your email and I’ll email you!

I got the hair clips but wanted the earrings, so I’d love to trade! victoria h starkey at gmail 🙂

Uuuugggghhhh Causebox……I almost forgot that I was getting this completely…..you take forever to arrive…..but then…..I get your boxes and all is forgiven 🥰. For some reason I can’t quit you and this box is probably my favorite. I love the throw, Derma-E and the serving utensils SO much!

I received my Causebox in less than pristine condition, which I attributed to shipping process. BUT, I also received a “Jeffreestar liquid velour lipstick” which is NOT a Causebox product. Contacted Causebox and they confirmed it is NOT from them but can’t explain why in my box!!!! I am a little freaked out, because don’t know where the box may have been. Art postcard was missing, otherwise products all included….Anybody have a similar experience?
Thanks!

I got the spoons and wanted the jewelry box, if anyone wants to trade.

Is there a resale site where people sell the items in their box they do not want? I was disappointed not to get the hair clips or jewelry box and would be interested in buying them off someone who did get them but doesn’t want them.

Finally got my box and i didn’t get the spoons that i wanted (not an annual member) and i got the jewelry holder which i don’t want. overall meh! the skincare i will use but the hair clips i also won’t use. too big and not something i use. meh! was hoping for the earrings. I don’t plan on resubscribing. i am interested in the pop sugar box and will see what they have for spring – might give them a shot!

I’ll trade the earrings for the hair clips! (They are brand new in packaging)
I don’t wear earrings unless they are platinum backing (allergic to all other metals).

Reply ButtonReply

RR

Sorry i just got this but i’m using the hair clips now and will regift the jewelry box. prob won’t order from causebox again though.

AC

I’m not an annual subscriber either, but I got the spoons and earrings. Wanted the hair clip and jewelry box. Wish our boxes were swapped 😉

RR

Well if you want to swap addresses we could send each other the items we want I know some people do that so let me know- 👍🏼

Alice

FYI…don’t bother with the code in the booklet for a free Samara mini pouch…unless you want to pay $17.99 shipping!

I received mine this week. Love everything I selected. The mugs, though, meh…I’ve gotten similar from Dollar General! They’re made in China and nothing special about the design, size, or feel other than a matte outside texture. Love the woven blanket. The substance and heavy texture suits my tactile likes! Not thick, perfect for me. Hair clips super. Jewelry box nice, made from apples! Hair product and comb very nice. Derma E quality super as usual.

I haven’t received my Winter box yet-not even ready to ship evidently.
I did receive my market items, too late to ship for Christmas and one bundle was incorrect and completely useless to me.
BUT Causebox customer service was great.
Took them a while to answer but it’s the holidays and their trying their best.
Their responses were apologetic, addressed the problem and were very sweet.
I have no problem with Causebox. Stuff happens. Not crazy about this box but that’s what subscription boxes are, surprises.
Chill, people. They’re trying to juggle a bunch of issues and this is not their usual mode of operations.

NOTHING created still for me – no label no notification just says “awaiting shipment”. So stupid! I am not ordering next months most likely. This is ridiculous.

Sunshine Carreon

I completely agree and for current subscribers few more goodies for Christmas I think…

Are the mugs dishwasher and microwave safe?

You took money out of my account Dec.10. Still no information or tracking for my package. I got my fabfitfun, winter box months ago. I agree with some of the other ladies, instead of waiting for 1 item put something else just as nice in. Plus we have been waiting so long on you we insist you put several other extra products for making us wait. If it was the other way around, you wouldn’t wait on us for payment. You would just cancel us. Get with the program, your company is going a very, very bad job. You are losing customers and I’m one of them.

Reply ButtonReply

Janice

I have filed a formal complaint.

Reply ButtonReply

CherryPie

I just cancelled my subscription but, unfortunately, it says that will only go into effect after my pre-paid yearly subscription is up. I’ve paid for a full year and not received anything yet so I have a long way to go. I just don’t trust that this company is even still in business any longer.

I’m wondering if I should explain the situation to my credit card company and try to get my money back through them.

Reply ButtonReply

Chantel

I am confused why so many people are freaking out over a 2 week shipping delay that Causebox has informed us about? They are reputable and have NEVER had major issues like people not getting their boxes.

And of course, if you paid for a yearly subscription, you do not get to cancel mid-subscription. That defeats the purpose of a yearly membership. That is how every single subscription box works. Literally every single one.

I show a shipment pending on my FedEx account today! I’m hopeful they really will start shipping soon. It’s not moving yet, but it’s a start! It says it is 6.6 lbs.

Reply ButtonReply

dkla_diann

I only saw it was delayed by checking my account. Mine has not even gotten any FEDEX info

Victoria

I’m a new subscriber and signed up with a free mystery bundle, so I’m sure I’ll be in the last group to ship 😩

Leslie

Label created for me on Friday the 20th, still no movement.

CherryPie

I’m new to Causebox with a yearlong subscription but considering canceling already. Messing up everyone’s quarterly box timing at Christmas time is very poor service.

Then proceeding to give no ongoing updates or answer paying customers who inquire about them not doing what they promised and were paid to do, well that’s kinda just flipping us all the middle finger. Like many customers, I wondered if they’d just shut down and taken off with our money competely.

As someone else said, they could have just sent the boxes out on time and sent the delayed items later. But they’d rather inconvenience the customers for their problems than inconvenience themselves. And/or they could have at least answered people and tossed in a couple of free goodies for the trouble.

Instead, here we are three days before Christmas and no boxes.

If Causebox can’t handle their business competently, there are many others around who can.

I am getting frustrated by these comments. Causebox normally starts shipping Mid December. They told us we would NOT get winter boxes by Christmas. The only guarantee was for the Marketplace orders, which all made it in time (granted barely).

Reply ButtonReply

Didds

If they told people the boxes wouldn’t be there by Christmas they did a poor job of it because clearly hardly anyone knew. If you’re shipping a box near Christmas and it won’t or even might not make it by dec 25 that fact should be in huge red letters at the top of your website, or you will suffer bad PR especially if you start ignoring emails and deleting comments that ask what gives later.

Even causebox admitted they had a communication problem

Beth

Looking again at the Facebook page, it appears no one has received their orders. I don’t think that MSA should recommend Causebox in the future until their issues are straightened out. They are not answering Facebook messages. I ordered a yearly subscription not only for myself but two family members as well, plus a marketplace order of more gifts, in early December. I virtually wrapped up (pun, haha) most of my Christmas shopping with this one company, and they failed me miserably.

I wonder if MSA should withdraw their support until folks start receiving their orders. At least a warning, please, for those interested in subscribing.

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

Whoops 😬 double post. Sorry about that!

Reply ButtonReply

Jeanette

I ordered the original Winter Box and wondered why I have heard nothing. So as usual, I come to MSA since this company cannot communicate. Poor job at causebox!

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

I’m pretty bummed these aren’t going to make it here by Christmas. I was planning to use the mugs and earrings as gifts. Well I guess I have to find something else! It would have been nice to have a communication from the company instead of having to look at comments here to see that the shipment is delayed. I’ve been patiently waiting and confident that they would do their best to get the orders out in time for the holiday. My market order was already delivered, at least.

My mother liked the jewelry box so I bought a similar one for her online. I’m glad I did that now instead of waiting for the Causebox one to show up. I didn’t expect to get my jewelry box after hers. 🙁

I knew that this group would have updates before Causebox would notify me, and I had a sneaking suspicion that as a locked in annual subscriber my winter box would ship late. I ordered a marketplace order the day it opened, and it’s scheduled to arrive tomorrow, but crickets on my winter box. I originally loved the concept and thought the value of the box was well worth the cost, but have long stopped relying on it arriving on time for gifts. As of now, I still enjoy the contents, but I do agree that they should taken care of shipping and communication issues before attempting to branch out with their market offering.

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

There’s also a response on their Facebook page. There were some (justifiably) angry comments about the lack of communication (they were just so busy filling orders!!) but it seems most responses are along the lines of, “that’s cool! You guys are awesome! People should just calm down!”

Personally, I’m flabbergasted at their poor communication skills. No updates whatsoever until today? They could have posted messages about a delay. And they shouldn’t have a marketplace if they can’t fill the orders.

If they were able to be proactive about addressing the delayed item, they should have just shipped the boxes without it and then shipped the single item afterward. Delays like this are a little more acceptable for most boxes, but the ones around the holidays are almost always at least partially used for gifting. Plus people are often traveling, which makes late deliveries harder to address. The second round of shipping would have cost them extra, but I doubt it compares to the number of people who will be cancelling due to their unreliability and poor communication over this. Guess my mom’s Christmas gifts will have to wait to be shipped to her until after 2020 begins…

Reply ButtonReply

Meg

Totally agree! They knew on December 10th (and probably much earlier) that shipping would be delayed since that’s their (self proclaimed) target date to begin shipping. Why didn’t a message to customers go out then? That being said why hasn’t there been an email sent to subscribers about the delay? Not everyone is on social media. And this isn’t their first time having a product issue. One would think that they would realize late holiday boxes would be that much more contentious. Has anyone actually received a shipping notification this week? It is Thursday after all.

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

I did receive an email, I think Diana was the name. Maybe it was sorted into your spam folder? Though I know there have Been many times other people received an email and I didn’t.

Noelle

The issue is, this isn’t the first time they have had this issue. Both Summer 2018 2.0, and fall 2018 had significant delays due to product issues. One was due to an issue with a supplier having a family emergency, the other was due to a product arriving damaged. Both times they handled the situation horribly with little communication. So it’s not like this is a new issue for them. I get it, things happen, but maybe they need to focus more on getting their boxes out on time consistently before offering other services like customization and the market.

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

They just posted some updates on Instagram. Apparently boxes will start to ship this week and will continue shipping over the next 3-4 weeks. An item was delayed. This is frustrating.

Reply ButtonReply

Sharon in SE TX

Thank you for posting this update, Noelle.

Reply ButtonReply

Meg

I’m really shocked by this radio silence. If they have an item delayed in customs (or something similar) I would expect more transparency from them. In the past they have let customers know when there are issues that affect a seasonal box. I wonder if MSA might be able to reach out to CauseBox for an update re: Winter boxes since they are are not responding to the average customer (by email or social media)?
It’s sad when good reliable box changes for the worst (most likely to appease their VC funders). Hopefully this is just a hiccup and they can get back on track.

Reply ButtonReply

Danika

they have an update on their website today saying one of the suppliers had a delay that they have dealt with but it delayed shipping. it says they are shipping this week…

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I reached out to them, over a week ago & received an auto reply that said they are receiving a high volume of messages right now and they will reply as soon as they can & please do not send a second message. Have heard nothing. Has anyone received their box?

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

Has anyone reached out to CS regarding shipping? I’m a new subscriber (signed up during BTBF), is it normal for them to be this quiet? I haven’t seen anything on their IG regarding shipping and their website just has the vague “mid-December.”

Reply ButtonReply

Didds

They actually seem to have turned commenting off on their social media posts rather than explain when they plan to ship the boxes. I’m completely shocked by this. I just bought an annual subscription and I’m feeling like an idiot now for supporting a company that would do something like that.

Reply ButtonReply

Teressia Crandall-Mutch

I feel the same way 🙁 Yearly subscription, finally committed because they promised to include extra items and now crickets 🙁

Leslie

Has anyone received shipping notice for their winter box?

Reply ButtonReply

Prescilla

I haven’t either. What concerns me is that I’m even able to still customize my box and Christmas is next week.

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

Oh dear, that can’t be good. I just checked my account and my customizations are locked. “Your choices have been saved and your box has entered our fulfillment process! If you didn’t get around to making selections, don’t worry, our team will pick for you :)”
It also says that my box is currently “Awaiting Shipment” Ugh.

Janet Vallar-Gillette

No. Received other items I hd purchased.
