  1. Love the box! Was really hoping for the spoons and I got them and they are gorgeous. Worth the wait. I got the Black Friday bundle and the portfolio fits my laptop which I wasn’t expecting so I am super excited! I did get the earrings though and I don’t have pierced ears so if anyone wants to trade for the hair clips just leave your email and I’ll email you!

    • I got the hair clips but wanted the earrings, so I’d love to trade! victoria h starkey at gmail 🙂

  2. Uuuugggghhhh Causebox……I almost forgot that I was getting this completely…..you take forever to arrive…..but then…..I get your boxes and all is forgiven 🥰. For some reason I can’t quit you and this box is probably my favorite. I love the throw, Derma-E and the serving utensils SO much!

    • I received my Causebox in less than pristine condition, which I attributed to shipping process. BUT, I also received a “Jeffreestar liquid velour lipstick” which is NOT a Causebox product. Contacted Causebox and they confirmed it is NOT from them but can’t explain why in my box!!!! I am a little freaked out, because don’t know where the box may have been. Art postcard was missing, otherwise products all included….Anybody have a similar experience?
      Thanks!

  3. I got the spoons and wanted the jewelry box, if anyone wants to trade.

  4. Is there a resale site where people sell the items in their box they do not want? I was disappointed not to get the hair clips or jewelry box and would be interested in buying them off someone who did get them but doesn’t want them.

    • I got the spoons and wanted the jewelry box, if anyone wants to trade.

  5. Finally got my box and i didn’t get the spoons that i wanted (not an annual member) and i got the jewelry holder which i don’t want. overall meh! the skincare i will use but the hair clips i also won’t use. too big and not something i use. meh! was hoping for the earrings. I don’t plan on resubscribing. i am interested in the pop sugar box and will see what they have for spring – might give them a shot!

    • I’m not an annual subscriber either, but I got the spoons and earrings. Wanted the hair clip and jewelry box. Wish our boxes were swapped 😉

      • Well if you want to swap addresses we could send each other the items we want I know some people do that so let me know- 👍🏼

    • I’ll trade the earrings for the hair clips! (They are brand new in packaging)
I don’t wear earrings unless they are platinum backing (allergic to all other metals).

      • Sorry i just got this but i’m using the hair clips now and will regift the jewelry box. prob won’t order from causebox again though.

  6. FYI…don’t bother with the code in the booklet for a free Samara mini pouch…unless you want to pay $17.99 shipping!

  7. I received mine this week. Love everything I selected. The mugs, though, meh…I’ve gotten similar from Dollar General! They’re made in China and nothing special about the design, size, or feel other than a matte outside texture. Love the woven blanket. The substance and heavy texture suits my tactile likes! Not thick, perfect for me. Hair clips super. Jewelry box nice, made from apples! Hair product and comb very nice. Derma E quality super as usual.

  8. I haven’t received my Winter box yet-not even ready to ship evidently.
I did receive my market items, too late to ship for Christmas and one bundle was incorrect and completely useless to me.
BUT Causebox customer service was great.
Took them a while to answer but it’s the holidays and their trying their best.
Their responses were apologetic, addressed the problem and were very sweet.
I have no problem with Causebox. Stuff happens. Not crazy about this box but that’s what subscription boxes are, surprises.
Chill, people. They’re trying to juggle a bunch of issues and this is not their usual mode of operations.

  9. NOTHING created still for me – no label no notification just says “awaiting shipment”. So stupid! I am not ordering next months most likely. This is ridiculous.

  10. I completely agree and for current subscribers few more goodies for Christmas I think…

  11. Are the mugs dishwasher and microwave safe?

  12. You took money out of my account Dec.10. Still no information or tracking for my package. I got my fabfitfun, winter box months ago. I agree with some of the other ladies, instead of waiting for 1 item put something else just as nice in. Plus we have been waiting so long on you we insist you put several other extra products for making us wait. If it was the other way around, you wouldn’t wait on us for payment. You would just cancel us. Get with the program, your company is going a very, very bad job. You are losing customers and I’m one of them.

  13. I have filed a formal complaint.

  14. I just cancelled my subscription but, unfortunately, it says that will only go into effect after my pre-paid yearly subscription is up. I’ve paid for a full year and not received anything yet so I have a long way to go. I just don’t trust that this company is even still in business any longer.

I’m wondering if I should explain the situation to my credit card company and try to get my money back through them.

    • I show a shipment pending on my FedEx account today! I’m hopeful they really will start shipping soon. It’s not moving yet, but it’s a start! It says it is 6.6 lbs.

      • Label created for me on Friday the 20th, still no movement.

      • I’m a new subscriber and signed up with a free mystery bundle, so I’m sure I’ll be in the last group to ship 😩

      • I only saw it was delayed by checking my account. Mine has not even gotten any FEDEX info

      • I received confirmation of my payment on December 1,2019… so I expected my box to arrive shortly after… nope! If I hadn’t checked periodically I would never have known about the delay in shipping. They’ve had my payment for 4 weeks and no email about a delay was ever received from Causebox. I think I will cancel my subscription…total lack of communication on their part

    • I am confused why so many people are freaking out over a 2 week shipping delay that Causebox has informed us about? They are reputable and have NEVER had major issues like people not getting their boxes.

And of course, if you paid for a yearly subscription, you do not get to cancel mid-subscription. That defeats the purpose of a yearly membership. That is how every single subscription box works. Literally every single one.

  15. I’m new to Causebox with a yearlong subscription but considering canceling already. Messing up everyone’s quarterly box timing at Christmas time is very poor service.

Then proceeding to give no ongoing updates or answer paying customers who inquire about them not doing what they promised and were paid to do, well that’s kinda just flipping us all the middle finger. Like many customers, I wondered if they’d just shut down and taken off with our money competely.

As someone else said, they could have just sent the boxes out on time and sent the delayed items later. But they’d rather inconvenience the customers for their problems than inconvenience themselves. And/or they could have at least answered people and tossed in a couple of free goodies for the trouble.

Instead, here we are three days before Christmas and no boxes.

If Causebox can’t handle their business competently, there are many others around who can.

    • I am getting frustrated by these comments. Causebox normally starts shipping Mid December. They told us we would NOT get winter boxes by Christmas. The only guarantee was for the Marketplace orders, which all made it in time (granted barely).

      • If they told people the boxes wouldn’t be there by Christmas they did a poor job of it because clearly hardly anyone knew. If you’re shipping a box near Christmas and it won’t or even might not make it by dec 25 that fact should be in huge red letters at the top of your website, or you will suffer bad PR especially if you start ignoring emails and deleting comments that ask what gives later.

Even causebox admitted they had a communication problem

  16. Looking again at the Facebook page, it appears no one has received their orders. I don’t think that MSA should recommend Causebox in the future until their issues are straightened out. They are not answering Facebook messages. I ordered a yearly subscription not only for myself but two family members as well, plus a marketplace order of more gifts, in early December. I virtually wrapped up (pun, haha) most of my Christmas shopping with this one company, and they failed me miserably.

I wonder if MSA should withdraw their support until folks start receiving their orders. At least a warning, please, for those interested in subscribing.

    • Whoops 😬 double post. Sorry about that!

  17. I ordered the original Winter Box and wondered why I have heard nothing. So as usual, I come to MSA since this company cannot communicate. Poor job at causebox!

  18. I’m pretty bummed these aren’t going to make it here by Christmas. I was planning to use the mugs and earrings as gifts. Well I guess I have to find something else! It would have been nice to have a communication from the company instead of having to look at comments here to see that the shipment is delayed. I’ve been patiently waiting and confident that they would do their best to get the orders out in time for the holiday. My market order was already delivered, at least.

    • My mother liked the jewelry box so I bought a similar one for her online. I’m glad I did that now instead of waiting for the Causebox one to show up. I didn’t expect to get my jewelry box after hers. 🙁

  19. I knew that this group would have updates before Causebox would notify me, and I had a sneaking suspicion that as a locked in annual subscriber my winter box would ship late. I ordered a marketplace order the day it opened, and it’s scheduled to arrive tomorrow, but crickets on my winter box. I originally loved the concept and thought the value of the box was well worth the cost, but have long stopped relying on it arriving on time for gifts. As of now, I still enjoy the contents, but I do agree that they should taken care of shipping and communication issues before attempting to branch out with their market offering.

  20. There’s also a response on their Facebook page. There were some (justifiably) angry comments about the lack of communication (they were just so busy filling orders!!) but it seems most responses are along the lines of, “that’s cool! You guys are awesome! People should just calm down!”

Personally, I’m flabbergasted at their poor communication skills. No updates whatsoever until today? They could have posted messages about a delay. And they shouldn’t have a marketplace if they can’t fill the orders.

    • The issue is, this isn’t the first time they have had this issue. Both Summer 2018 2.0, and fall 2018 had significant delays due to product issues. One was due to an issue with a supplier having a family emergency, the other was due to a product arriving damaged. Both times they handled the situation horribly with little communication. So it’s not like this is a new issue for them. I get it, things happen, but maybe they need to focus more on getting their boxes out on time consistently before offering other services like customization and the market.

    • Totally agree! They knew on December 10th (and probably much earlier) that shipping would be delayed since that’s their (self proclaimed) target date to begin shipping. Why didn’t a message to customers go out then? That being said why hasn’t there been an email sent to subscribers about the delay? Not everyone is on social media. And this isn’t their first time having a product issue. One would think that they would realize late holiday boxes would be that much more contentious. Has anyone actually received a shipping notification this week? It is Thursday after all.

      • I did receive an email, I think Diana was the name. Maybe it was sorted into your spam folder? Though I know there have Been many times other people received an email and I didn’t.

    • If they were able to be proactive about addressing the delayed item, they should have just shipped the boxes without it and then shipped the single item afterward. Delays like this are a little more acceptable for most boxes, but the ones around the holidays are almost always at least partially used for gifting. Plus people are often traveling, which makes late deliveries harder to address. The second round of shipping would have cost them extra, but I doubt it compares to the number of people who will be cancelling due to their unreliability and poor communication over this. Guess my mom’s Christmas gifts will have to wait to be shipped to her until after 2020 begins…

    • Looking again at the Facebook page, it appears no one has received their orders. I don’t think that MSA should recommend Causebox in the future until their issues are straightened out. They are not answering Facebook messages. I ordered a yearly subscription not only for myself but two family members as well, plus a marketplace order of more gifts, in early December. 21. They just posted some updates on Instagram. Apparently boxes will start to ship this week and will continue shipping over the next 3-4 weeks. An item was delayed. This is frustrating.

    • Thank you for posting this update, Noelle.

  22. I’m really shocked by this radio silence. If they have an item delayed in customs (or something similar) I would expect more transparency from them. In the past they have let customers know when there are issues that affect a seasonal box. I wonder if MSA might be able to reach out to CauseBox for an update re: Winter boxes since they are are not responding to the average customer (by email or social media)?
It’s sad when good reliable box changes for the worst (most likely to appease their VC funders). Hopefully this is just a hiccup and they can get back on track.

    • they have an update on their website today saying one of the suppliers had a delay that they have dealt with but it delayed shipping. it says they are shipping this week…

  23. I reached out to them, over a week ago & received an auto reply that said they are receiving a high volume of messages right now and they will reply as soon as they can & please do not send a second message. Have heard nothing. Has anyone received their box?

  24. Has anyone reached out to CS regarding shipping? I’m a new subscriber (signed up during BTBF), is it normal for them to be this quiet? I haven’t seen anything on their IG regarding shipping and their website just has the vague “mid-December.”

    • They actually seem to have turned commenting off on their social media posts rather than explain when they plan to ship the boxes. I’m completely shocked by this. I just bought an annual subscription and I’m feeling like an idiot now for supporting a company that would do something like that.

      • I feel the same way 🙁 Yearly subscription, finally committed because they promised to include extra items and now crickets 🙁

  25. Has anyone received shipping notice for their winter box?

    • No. Received other items I hd purchased.

    • I haven’t either. What concerns me is that I’m even able to still customize my box and Christmas is next week.

      • Oh dear, that can’t be good. I just checked my account and my customizations are locked. “Your choices have been saved and your box has entered our fulfillment process! If you didn’t get around to making selections, don’t worry, our team will pick for you :)”
It also says that my box is currently “Awaiting Shipment” Ugh.

  26. I received a small box with only packing cubes and lip polish. I thought I would receive a lot more then that for the winter box. Very disappointed, I loved the other boxes that I received before.

    • That must be add-ons ,not the box.

    • That’s definitely not the winter box.

  27. Can’t wait for this box to arrive!! Hopefully before Christmas.

  28. I hear you, I have been with causebox for years now and I feel like they have lost their way. This feels like a fff box or something else, causebox used to have an identity… Stay true and all. Now, they ship to new subscribers first, have options on trinkets that are not destined to be loved, but destined to be relatively underwhelming gifts. This is really a sad showing. I am usually a fan, but this just shows a series of really poor decisions that seem to have lost the compass bearing of their early days. Maybe they are a new company, maybe this is something I need to rethink supporting.

    • Agree 100%. I loved it in the beginning but I agree the items do not feel as special to me. I can’t stand the constant coupons for their boxes now. People complain that only annuals can select items but that’s the main perk they offer! The shipping always seems to be pushed back and I often wished I had the items one month prior. Seems like they are trying to be too much like FFF and I’m not into it.

    • I agree. I dropped FFF for Causebox because it was so unique and always had such a cohesive curation. This isn’t feeling unique or overly thoughtful in how it’s been curated. My annual sub ran out with this box, and I don’t think I’ll be renewing. Especially if it’s not in my hands before christmas.

    • “trinkets that are not destined to be loved, but destined to be relatively underwhelming gifts.“

Yep. Agree one hundred percent. Quality of items isn’t there. Jewelry is branded but is lesser quality made in China stuff that the brand doesn’t sell to their own customers. Other items have dynamic claims about their ethical production and materials but why then does it feel like junk? The og ethical business model is gone. It seems like someone bought the company it’s so different now. They are the fitness influencer of the sub box world. Everything looks legit until you start asking questions and realize that what’s happening on the surface is actual BS. I will stick to Fab Fit Fun who doesn’t claim to be something they’re not and is a fun box to receive.

      • I tried FFF for one month and didn’t renew. Not enough items for the cost. Dropped Crazy Cat for same reason. Dropped globeone because items advertised were not being shipped as promised. I renewed causebox hoping they would remain true to their promises. Today is January 15th, got notice the winter box that was suppose to be shipped by Christmas is finally on its way. Finally

  29. When is it suppose to ship? I have seen no updates on their site in weeks. This box seems really underwhelming to me.

    • I hear you, I have been with causebox for years now and I feel like they have lost their way. This feels like a fff box or something else, causebox used to have an identity… Stay true and all. Now, they ship to new subscribers first, have options on trinkets that are not destined to be loved, but destined to be relatively underwhelming gifts. This is really a sad showing. Maybe they are a new company, maybe this is something I need to rethink supporting.

      • Has anyone received there box yet, this is crazy

      • Seriously, it’s concerning. Facebook is blowing up with questions and CS is radio silent. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but had hoped the box I gifted to my friend would have arrived by Christmas.

      • I received my add-on order (spoons) on Dec. 9, but I haven’t received the winter box yet.

      • I inquired about my add-on order since it hadn’t shipped a week into December. Got a reply back yesterday saying “it shipped on the 9th, here’s the tracking number.”

Opened the link. Shows it didn’t ship until yesterday. Very uncouth.

      • I’m a new subscriber, I got in on this box before it sold out. They haven’t shipped mine yet. I even sent an email a week ago asking about ETA because we are going out of town. No reply. A little disappointed in that. Once I get a tracking I can send it to a friend so they can grab it for me.

      • Did you sign up with a mystery bundle too? I hope mine is included in my box cause it sounds like contacting CS is useless.

  30. Really wanting to swap for the circle barrette but nobody has listed it in swaps yet.

    • This is my fourth box, and my first time being a bit underwhelmed. For me, there wasn’t a lot of “Winter” offered here. I still have the Spring box left in my annual subscription, it will help me decide if I renew my annual subscription or not. Happy Holidays Everyone!!! 🎄🎁

    • If you’re unable to swap for the hair pin, check them out on Etsy. They have an amazing selection at affordable prices. 🙂

    • Once I get my box, if I get the barrette I’ll have it up for swap!

    • I’ll be posting mine when I get it. I don’t think they’re shipping yet though. Soon I’m sure since spoilers are done 🙂

  31. Ok so slim chances we’ll get this before Christmas and I’m assuming that includes marketplace orders? I’ll be really disappointed if that happens as I ordered a bunch of gifts 🙁

    • My marketplace orders has been shipped. Winter box start to ship mid Dec I think. It took me 4 weeks to got my fall box so I’m think I may not getting before Xmas.

    • I’ve had my Marketplace order for about a week now.

      • How? lol! I placed my Marketplace order the day it opened up and still on “awaiting shipment.”

    • My market order just shipped and will be delivered on the 14th. Hope you gets yours by Christmas!

  32. Sale today for winter welcome box. $29.95 using CYBER.

  33. I like DE, so I am glad. $30 is a great price for this box.

  34. I think it’s a great box but they should have made sure they would ship in time for Christmas

    • I received my shipping notice today. It’s due to arrive 12/16.

      • Mine has not even entered fulfillment yet & I’m an annual subscriber.

I’m in Canada so it will take longer to get to me.

  35. Sad to see only six items, but with the mystery bundle, we’re all good!

I did buy it purely because I wanted the blanket and the folio from the mystery bundle, but still I thought there would be a few more surprises.

Can’t wait for it to finally ship, soon I hope!

    • I wonder what else is in the mystery bundle! That’s what I signed up with too (the one with the portfolio), and I’m so ready for it to ship. Their website just says they’ll *begin* shipping in mid-December.

  36. Does anyone know when this box is supposed to ship?

    • I think they said mid dec

  37. Post title includes “Coupon” but I don’t see one. Is the last one with the mini box still good, Liz? Thanks!

  38. Awww its sold out😥

    • The Winter welcome box is available though, you can look for the MSA spoilers on that. 🙂

  39. This is my first Causebox. I’ll be pleased with any of the items. The Derma E is a lovely final item. I love the DE line. I’m moving from beauty boxes except for a select few. Will see how this goes with Causebox.

    • Same here! I’m looking forward to this box. Glad to hear you like the DE line, I’m not familiar with it.

      • I first got samples of Derma E from Ipsy and was really impressed with the hydration of the basic moisturizer. I love to use it on the back of my hands. I believe they’re clean beauty too. Hope you love everything in your box! I can’t wait! I may do an annual.

  40. I wish that bowl was included in the box.

    • You can buy it at IKEA!

  41. Great final spoiler! Very appropriate for winter skin. I will take all the moisture I can get!
Only 6 items but I am happy with all of them and I can’t wait to get my box.

    • I think this season’s box is great I’m excited to get mine as well😊
