Disco Queen Lip Gloss in ‘Night Fever’, 6 ml – Retail Value $11.95

I always seem to really like the disco glosses from this brand because they are just so over the top! This one is a rose gold shade with loads of sparkle and shine! It looks lovely over top of another color as well as gorgeous alone, though I find that I prefer it with something else as alone it feels a little warm on me. It has a nice smooth texture (though you can feel the texture of all that shimmer just barely!) and a sweet smell.

    A coppery disco dream!

Eye Dust in ‘Frosting’, 1.5 g – Listed Value $8.00

Though this has a pale pink look in the pot, the shimmer itself turns into a sheer wash of blue and purple when applied on the skin. It is actually so subtle and pretty!! I don’t generally like blue shimmers on my skin, but this one is so soft and wearable. I could see myself using this on my cheekbones or even as a soft shadow over my entire lid.

Hard to see in this photo, but it is a soft shimmer!

Love Byrd Hippie Dippy Serum, 0.34 fl oz – Retail Value $20.00

Oh wow, this stuff smells incredible! It also has a simple ingredient list too: sweet almond oil, frankincense, and myrrh oils. It does smell a little like a very classy hippie, which is more than a little of my vibe. You could wear this as a fragrance oil, or use it on your face as a nice source of skin-loving fatty acids.

Lip and Cheek Stain – Listed Value $10.00

I am a little confused by this product. As you can see, there is no swatch below, and that is because it was essentially clear on my skin. I actually assumed it was just a lip balm. As far as a stain goes, this is not going to really work in that regard, but as a balm? Love it. It is very hydrating and has a soft cherry scent.

Verdict: This month’s Medusa’s Make-Up Beauty Box has a value of $49.95 which is pretty good for a $16.95 box! Everything was good by me this month, but I especially loved the serum and lip gloss! The eye dust was also delicate and lovely, and while the “stain” was not a stain at all, the formula and cute packaging still won me over.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

          1. I am thinking on trying this box. Do you guys find their shadows highly pigmented?

          2. I just subscribed, I hope I get this box. Thanks for the great review. 👍

          3. I really enjoyed the Medusa’s Makeup subscription, but I usually received colors that were too warm-toned (and therefore unusable). If they were to create warm-toned and cool-toned options, I’d subscribe again in a heartbeat.
