I understand some are upset that the contents of their last box are now available at a fraction of the price, I am too. However, I like the idea of Happy Rebel and think it has the potential to be a really unique box. I feel like to reach that potential the new owner will need the strongest footing possible, so it makes sense to sell off the old stock quickly by marking it way down. At least then the money made can go into making better future curations. I think the new owner has her head in the right place and is really committed to making Happy Rebel what it should have been to begin with. Why else take on a box that’s already gotten a bad reputation? The fact that she took it on says she has a vision for fixing it, I’m happy to give it a chance to succeed. I personally would like to see curations that fit with the theme and products that compliment each other. I feel that’s an area that this box previously fell short.

I was a pretty vocal eye roller for most of this box after the mystery box fiasco and response but as far as this sale goes while I would be livid that the entire box contents are up for sale after the previous owner’s money grab you can’t really be mad at the new owner for trying to get rid of this stuff and start fresh. I’m interested to see what she brings to the table and hoping the “small female owned business” will stop being an excuse for over priced paper plates and and start being something that is just a part of the reason to support happy rebel.

Ordered some placemats, coasters and the shoe bags. Then went back and ordered the paper bags. They will look so cute for Christmas presents with tinsel fluff. The new owner, Kelly, was very helpful and quick to respond. My impression is that her heart is really into making Happy Rebel fun and unique. May have to resubscribe.

I think I’d be rather PO’d if I was a subscriber and only to discover that I can put together the contents of that last, highly controversial box for less money just a month or two later. Yikes!

Having said that, I may purchase a few items because that sale is great.

Yup, subscribers spent a hundred and now you can get for 10 dollars which just shows how much the old owner profited.

The old owner is a silent partner. She is still around.

I’ve been wanting those paper bags for a while now. Happy to finally get some at a low cost.

Same. I caved and ordered myself a set. What really got me was a recent instagram video showing (I think the new owner) a mason jar of flowers set in the smallest bag. So simple but it looked great and I will totally use them like that.

ok, you talked me into it! lol. I ended up ordering 2 because for 14$, what a great last minute gift for christmas.

I’ve been wanting them as well. Any ideas how they hold up after being washed over and over? I’d love to use them as small trash can liners. The size will be great for my car and bathroom trash cans but I’d really love to know if they really are reusable.

What a great idea!

LOL not surprised to see the trucker hat the new owner didn’t like.

I thought the trucker hat was the new owners creation.

I bought the gray placemats and coasters! Everyone on swap has them listed waaayyy over what the price actually is!

I don’t have any listed for swapping (though thanks for the reminder to post those!). However, note that the sets being sold on HR website now are for sets of FOUR. What’s being swapped are sets of SIX.

Oops. I take that back. My apologies. I could have sworn when I initially looked that it was for a set of 4, which I thought was odd because they sent 6 placemats. But now it says 6. Hmmm. Either they just corrected their site or I’m loosing it. Probably the latter!
