I’m a baker and the thought of a cookie cutter box sounded good at first but $6 a cutter seems like too much and the bulky plastic ones are a pain to use and to clean. Most cookie bakers already have the basics covered so unless these were amazing, I wouldn’t subscribe.

No I do not need to see this reviewed.

Cute! I use to pay $5 to $10 for copper cookie cutters but I had a hobby business selling cakes and cookies. I’m not sure most people would need as many.
If you review it, I’d like to see them in action please. Cutting dough, how they bake it, decorated and cutting fondant. The review might take a lot of effort to write based on that and so it’s a pass from me.

They look to be 3D printed plastic and not metal.

Here comes the avalanche… Any maker on Etsy can start a monthly sub and try to push a niche product.

I love cookie cutters & use them for human & pup treats all year but there is no way I would pay $30 a month for cookie cutters!?!? They look nice but dollar tree cutters work just as well.

These look 3D printed based on the images in this post. Are these food-safe? I believe most 3D printed objects have issues due to bacteria buildup. I tried to find out the info by myself but couldn’t find a working website.

There’s quite a bit of information available. I worked for NASA for 5 years and one of the labs I was involved with worked with 3D-printers.

Yes, these machines are a breeding ground for bacteria. And some are even being used to MAKE bacteria, but that’s a different thing. 🙂

Any company making food-safe or food-grade products would need adhere to guidelines (these do exist) so the resultant product would be safe. This company should be able to provide you with answers to any questions you may have.

It’s entirely possible they are using some kind of protectant coating if they are 3D printing these cookie cutters. It might be enough for what they’re doing. Worth some research before you buy.

Thanks for all the info, Tracy! Very cool to hear from someone with that kind of background 🙂 Honestly would love to hear more about 3D-printed bacteria but that may be a bit off-topic 🙂 I had no idea there were guidelines, so it’s reassuring to know there’s protections in place.

I was hoping to find the company website to read up about these cookie cutters but the links on this page only show the CrateJoy page, and a quick Google search didn’t pull anything up.

No..
I love baking, but this is too much.

I hate to think people buying cookie cutters every season, every month, and not reusing them when the season comes.
you don’t need a different Santa cookie cutter every year. just buy one batch and use them throughout your lifetime.
Cookie cutters don’t spoil, they don’t rot.

Please let’s not contribute making more waste just for the sake of subscriptions.

Is $6 per cutter in line with what you would normally pay? (Asking as a non-baker.) Seems like a cute sub for the right person but awfully expensive.

I can’t imagine getting 5 cutters a month! I could see this as a quarterly sub but not monthly.

BaggysMom

I agree. They say that each box contains 5 seasonal/holiday cookie cutters so why not make it quarterly?

Chantel

No thank you. Way too specific, and who needs that many cookie cutters?

Cookie Monster! 🍪 I would never sub to this either.
