The Fall bag was made of true leather, so if you smelled plastic, I think that’s a specific thing for you, not likely for the rest of us.

The necklace was very heavy, IMO, likely the heaviest necklace I’ve ever put around my neck that I can recall. I don’t wear mine for that reason alone.

The complaints voiced seem false to me.

If it was that the bag is small, yes, it’s a crossbody bag. If it was that the necklace was really bright gold in a huge size whereas a choice that included silver wouldn’t have looked like an 80’s Las Vegas pawn shop item, yes. Still, lock necklaces are on trend, and have been for a few years.

The necklace is not lightweight. Anything heavier could pull the neckline of a cashmere sweater out of shape. And I don’t understand how leather can smell like plastic.

I wonder if this box goes down to $50… I know it is only $5, but after receiving my fall box, I felt that bag and necklace didn’t seem to match the retail value in quality. Bag smelled of pleather and the necklace felt light considering the size/shape of it. After reading the comments from MSA readers on this winter box, many felt the robe and necklace didn’t feel lux and they are the hero items in this box.

I believe it will. A lightweight housecoat in weird size ranges, plus the rest of the mish mash of items (how many candles do people need?), spells plenty of boxes still available.

Just a heads up for people on phones. My discount code went away at the last stage of checkout. I was about to hit complete when I saw it was back at $99. So I had to re enter it and it was hard to find where to do this. Kinda sneaky. Luckily I spotted it before I hit complete.

YES – Caved! 🙂 I’ve always wanted this box but honestly I try to be picky with the boxes I order because a good deal is not the same thing as good value to me. If I wouldn’t buy it outside of the box for the box price or less then I don’t need it. This box has always had good curation but the customer service issues and price have been the deterrent for me. The robe, candle and necklace made this one a must have, though. I will use those items multiple times and the price for those 3 alone had good value for me. I just wish they didn’t have two cosmetics in this box…I would’ve loved a mug/book/slippers or something in place of the palette. Overall can’t wait to receive this, though. Thanks for securing such a great deal for MSA readers!!!

I felt the same way initially in terms of customer service because just a year ago they messed up bad. However, I have to credit all of our feedback on MSA and MSA sharing that feedback with the Zoe team because I have had very good service and quick service when I have had an issue. I jumped on this deal and feel glad I did!

I feel the same way—just because something is a bargain doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good value for me (in terms of usefulness). I agree that this box looks great due to the candle, robe, and necklace (I share your ambivalence about the cosmetics as I have enough products already). Although BOS has had some CS issues in the past, my last two orders have shipped very quickly and I have had no trouble canceling my subscription each time. Fingers crossed this box arrives before the holiday!

I would have been tempted, but after receiving the skin care from the fall box. It had to be expired and smelled so rancid!! Not going to take a chance!

If you go back and read MSA’s fall review she does state that the serum has a not so pleasing smell. Mine smells the same way. I’m thinking that’s probably how it should smell almost like vitamins.

I read the review. My take is that all of them are rancid. I couldn’t even use this on other body parts it smells so bad.

After your comment, I went and opened mine. I had put it away while I finished up others. Mine is awful smelling, too! What a rip off. I received a defective purse as well, but they replaced it. Wonder if they’ll back the serum?

If you contact them((call or chat), they might replace the unsatisfactory items or credit points to your account. If the first person isn’t knowledgeable/helpful I would try again with someone else. Even though it shouldn’t happen with something you buy new, things do go rancid and so hopefully they will make it right for you.

In for one! $60 is a great price for this box. I will use and enjoy everything except possibly the candle (hubbie dislikes candles, boo) but I can gift it. I like this winter curation much more than that of the fall box. Excited! 🙂

I’m the same size as you—I opted for the larger size, as I plan to wear it as a robe rather than a duster. Since a robe requires more coverage than a duster, I’d rather it be a little too big.

My problem, too~! I actually like everything in it, I just don’t need it. I already have a black and gold robe, I already gave some of my fancy candles to my mom because, though I like them, I have too many already and my toddlers broke one of my glass ones before, the necklace is pretty but I already have dressy necklaces aplenty (none with real diamonds, though, so that’s neat,) and while I love that gold tone palette, I already have plenty of eyeshadow palettes.

So great deal, and I very much appreciate that it isn’t costume jewelry, but it’s nothing I need enough to spring for it.
