Every month, Birchbox sends samples (and sometimes full-sizes) of new and exciting beauty products from top brands for $15/month. They allow subscribers to pick between a curated box (all samples revealed) or a single sample choice with the rest of the items arriving as a surprise. Birchbox is one of the original beauty subscription boxes and is a great way to discover new makeup, hair care, and skincare products without breaking the bank.

Birchbox November 2019 "Beauty Imports" Curated Box #2 Review
There are two info cards in this month's Birchbox. One details the included six items. The other card talks about how to get a free makeup brush kit with a $75 shop purchase.
Lancôme Crème-Mousse Confort Foaming Cleanser, 5o ml - Estimated Value $10.80 (Buy a 125 ml full size for $27.00)
I am always excited for a generous, large sample size of a fancy cleanser! This is a heavy cream that foams when you use it and it smells of roses and other florals. It is so gentle on my dry skin and left it more hydrated after I used it. I tend to like Lancome products and this was no exception! I also think the retail price for the full size is more than reasonable for such a nice cleanser, so I might consider it as a purchase when this tube runs out.
IPKN Salad Days Veggie Extracts Resurfacing Peeling Gel, 7 ml - Estimated Value $1.49 (Buy a full-size 150 ml version for $32.00)
I don't like these peel gels because I am not convinced they actually do anything. Basically, you apply the gel then rub it in a circular motion and it pills up, and is said to collect the dead skin and remove it. I honestly just think the majority of the residue is just the product itself. Regardless, I was happy to try this since I am not super familiar with the brand, but I just don't get this sort of thing.
TLW Let’s Get Naked Frizz Fighter, 2o ml - Estimated Value $3.20 (Buy a full-size 125 ml version for $20.00)
Oooh, another new brand. This balm can be used in damp hair before styling to prevent frizz and add shine, or you can use it on dry ends as I did. It has a nice scent and absolutely made my hair smoother. Bonus points for the UVA sunscreen in the formula, especially for my color-treated babes out there!
Avène Micellar Lotion, 100 ml – Estimated Value $9.00 (Buy 200 ml for $18.00)
This is the third time I have gotten a bottle of this, mainly because I go out of my way to seek it out. I absolutely love this lotion. I use this after cleansing and before serums in my rotation, to add a little extra hydration to my skin and make sure no makeup is left. The micellar water really finds anything I may have missed while double cleansing! It also works well as a general makeup remover if you are too tired to properly wash your face, something I will admit to about once a week. It smells great, and the full size for $18 is a bargain, IMO!
Lord & Berry Glow Strobing Pencil, 0.7 g - Travel Size! Retail Value $10.00
This creamy champagne pencil looks really great as a brow bone highlighter. It also can be used anywhere you would normally use a highlighter or for a shadow or eyeliner. I appreciate the versatility! I also found it longer lasting than my normal powder products, though a pencil certainly has its disadvantages too, like sharpening when you are someone who is always at a loss for a sharpener...
Just a little glisten!
Lise Watier Rouge Gourmand Lipstick in 'Champagne', 0.05 oz - Estimated Value $7.81 (Buy a full-size 0.16 oz for $25.00)
This is a really pretty pinky nude lipstick that worked well for my skin tone, and totally enhanced a no-makeup look juuuuust enough! It is semi-sheer and has the most subtle shimmer that makes my lips look a little fuller. It also has lanolin, meaning it is super moisturizing but def. not for my vegan friends out there.
Very natural and soft.
Verdict: This curated Birchbox has an estimated value of around $42.30 which is higher than many of my recent Birchboxes. This was honestly one of my best Birchboxes in quite a while. The sample sizes were significant and the products themselves were really nice. The peeling gel was the only miss for me, but that is quite alright as I am thrilled with the rest, especially the cleanser and lotion!
