Savage X Fenty 2 Bras for $29 Offer Review – October 2019

Each month, Savage X Fenty curates a new “Xtra VIP box” of new lingerie styles and sexy accessories that tend to sell out fast. I signed up too late to nab the special box but began my membership with their 2 bras for $29 deal which is what I’ll be reviewing here. I haven’t as much as peeked at the Savage X Fenty line until signing up and was really impressed by how much variety they offer. I was especially excited about their bralettes since I stopped wearing underwires years ago because I find them terribly uncomfortable.

In my first delivery, I received this welcome booklet for the XTRA VIP Membership that gives a run-down of how it works.

There is also a packing list with what I ordered that has their exchange policy on the bottom.

Savage X Fenty Velvet Bralette in Black, size large – Retail Value $49.00, VIP Price $39.00 (2 for $29 Price: $16.40)

I fell in love with this bralette right away due to the velvet and mesh body that seems comfy yet gives a flash of the ol’ underboob. I have always been a solid large in bralettes across the board but the wild thing is that most places I buy them from stop at that size and I often find that my cup runneth over if I bend over or make any big moves. That is shocking to me since I wear a 36C and don’t feel particularly busty compared to the average woman. What are my bigger-busted ladies supposed to wear? I can hear them reply “no way I can wear a bra with no support” in my head, so perhaps I am at the top sizing of the bralette world for that reason. So anyhow- I felt confidant ordering a large and hoped that it would work out. The good news is that if it didn’t I can totally exchange or return my items as long as I keep the tags on. Score!

So how did this bralette turn out? When I removed it from the box I was immediately impressed when I saw the three clasps at the back. Many bralettes have two, many have just one, but having three felt like a wonderful world that I didn’t think existed! That’s what I want in support, my friends! When I first tried this velvet cutie, I squealed with delight, so pleased that it covered the right areas and overall fit EXTREMELY WELL. The underboob situation is just enough of a flirt and it appeals to my tomboy tendencies as well. The straps are covered in velvet on both sides, but I did notice that the edge does have a bit of stiffness to it that I can see being irritating if worn for a long day or with any strenuous activity. I still love the look of this too much to care tho. My girls stay in the bra and I feel supported without the pain of an underwire. The only downside to this bralette is that it’s 100% polyester and due to the delicate fabric, calls for hand washing and line drying.

Savage X Fenty Fishnet Bralette in Military Green, size large – Retail Value $38.00, VIP Price $30.00 (2 for $29 Price: $12.60)

This bralette struck me as the perfect marriage of cute and sexy, which I rather like. Does it look comfortable? Not really, but I’m a sucker for mesh or fishnet and while bralettes don’t always read as sexy as say, a pushup bra, the sheer nature of this piece fills in that void for me. Truth be told I would’ve gone for black, but it was sold out in my size so I went for the olive “military green” which always appeals to me. The triangle cut of this bralette is a classic one for me and my preference, although it can somehow be tricky to get right. Some bralettes have the two triangles meet to high or too low for my chest and it just doesn’t have the fit I’m looking for. This one, however, is simply perfect. I put this one and honestly felt seen, FINALLY. It fits in all the right ways, and again, the three clasps made me feel that much more secure. The fishnet is soft and not nearly as uncomfortable as I thought it’d be. It also has smaller netting holes which means no parts poke out. 😉

The other thing that I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention it the tag situation. In the photos, you can see a long somewhat bulky tag at the clasp which has all of the standard information, but it’s sewn on with a tiny stitch and literally says right on it “tag meant to be removed”. How can something this simple bring me so much joy? I took my tiny sewing scissors and snipped that tag right off, completely safe from ruining anything or having a jagged edge poking me in the back. Again- I AM SEEN.  As far as quality and construction is concerned, this bralette felt a lot more durable than the ones I’m used to. The band feels really thick and has a good stretch to it while the hardware on the clasps and shoulder straps seem solid and not cheap at all. This one is 96% Polyester, 4% Spandex, and thank goodness is machine washable and can be tumble dried on low.

The Verdict: Well, I am already a Savage X Fenty convert. Rhianna and her team GET me. No cute bralette I’ve tried on in a store fit me nearly as well as either of these and I am beaming with joy. I think a lot of women will agree that bra shopping can be a nightmare, so this means so much to me. I cannot wait to try more pieces from the line and look forward to getting into sexier territory with the XTRA VIP box and beyond.

To Wrap Up:

Can I get these pieces if I sign up today? Yes! You can sign up and choose from a ton of bras and bralettes by getting the 2 for $29 deal here!

  1. The first one looks the size of an eye mask I’m impressed it fits a 36c

    • Thank you! I thought the same thing! “That looks more like a blindfold!” was went through my mind. I was thinking, “Gee I never noticed Marne being so small chested…” so when I saw 36C I was flabbergasted. It made more sense that she wasn’t nearly as small as that bra pic would suggest, but I have to admit I still can’t quite believe it. When I am at my slimmest weight, which is not often, I too am a 36C. I’m 5’ 3” and most people always considered me somewhat “busty,” much to my dismay. I definitely was never able to wear bralettes. Not in public anyway. 😄
Marne, you’re lucky to have such perky girls at that size! I know you’re still pretty young but I wouldn’t have been able to pull off either of these numbers even when I was in college and wearing a 36C.

Sorry if I embarrassed you. But you should actually feel blessed to have such a high level/wide range of bra freedom! 😉

    • Do be fair, that black velvet part only covers the “most needed” part of my boobs, certainly not the entire surface area. There is mesh that shows a lot of underboob and cleavage. 😉

  2. I just ordered. I hate bras in general and have been looking for the perfect fit for years. Seriously…why is it so hard? Mine dig and poke and ride up so I’m always pulling it down. I have hope for fenty. Not much though. 😢

    • Sounds like the band is too big and the cups are too small for you. Try to get someone to measure you. I ordered based on Fenty’s size chart and found the bras to be super comfortable.

    • I have been trying to use a gift card to VS that someone got me last holiday season and I have been unsuccessful at finding anything that fits the way I want it to, so I was pleasantly surprised by Savage X Fenty! Also- I’ve worn the fishnet bralette several times since writing this and am really impressed and surprised at how comfortable it is!
I hope your new bras work out well! Keep us posted!!

  3. These bras, especially the first one would never in a million years work for an all natural big breasted woman.

    • Stephanie, I have heard that about bralettes in general from my friends with bigger breasts. These are just what I personally chose for my bra/bralette deals (being a 36C) but Savage X Fenty has a HUGE selection of bras with more support in a myriad of sizes.
