Just had oral surgery right by the Plaza. I can’t believe an advent calendar would have helped my recuperation. haha

Days 2-4 when you’re opening up the little doors with anticipation to find a 3 day supply of Hum vitamin supplements, a tiny travel tube of toothpaste and some dental floss would be bleak days indeed, 😄. Those look like the sort of samples you get in the little bag of freebies you get from your dentist along with a toothbrush….

I know, seriously Saks?! Even if they were giving it away as a gift with purchase, it would be disappointing.

I was surprised when I saw this. Was expecting something much nicer from Saks. I do appreciate Luna, our beauty finds whisperer. She shares her finds with us all and it is very interesting seeing what different companies put in a calendar.

I definitely get a sense that some of what I share won’t be popular amongst the MSA crowd, but I also don’t want to assume what others would be interested in since everyone has different tastes (I know I’ve been surprised both ways on people’s interest in some of what gets posted), so I just share whatever I find that hasn’t been mentioned yet on MSA, and let Liz decide if it’s “worth” posting. 😉 What’s funny, is sometimes I even say in my email, “I’m not sure if this is worth posting, but…” lol I do appreciate though that she takes a risk and still posts things that may not be so popular amongst the MSA commenters but still may be of interest to others. 🙂 I mean, people are definitely buying these because they continue to get produced year after year. 🙂 Like what you said…. at least it gives us all an idea of what’s out there… and also what to keep an eye out for when sales time rolls around. 🙂

I am waiting for Luna to put out the word on Net a Porter sales after Xmas. I bought two of those bags earlier this year, and am still astonished. Thank goodness for MSA.

I think that is what is so great about MSA and the community. There is something for everyone and every budget. I am drawn to skin care but not as much for makeup. Nice to know about the different calendars because if they do not sell at full price they might end up on sale and I can keep a watch for those. I was so excited to get the Tocca boxes that you let us know about. My box has already shipped.

Really what you paying for is the name. It’s Saks. I don’t see them having $20 box

This must be a joke with the price?! Don’t these companies look at their competitors and see that this would be $20-$25 max. My mind is boggled with some of these advent calendars.

75 bucks for a bunch of samples. I’ll be passing.
