  1. You never reviewed!!! I’m SUPER interested. Can you reconsider reviewing this sub and find out if they will be having any Black Friday sale?

  2. These boxes are fantastic. We’re going on the 6th month of our subscription and my daughter absolutely looks forward to receiving the box in its entirety each month. The earrings don’t agitate her ears, are fun and differentiated, and the conversation cards provide a nice opportunity to engage in conversation. The starter kit is a bonus and warm welcome to the subscription as well. Will gift a subscription to my nieces this holiday season as well.

  3. Finally someone figured it out! A girl getting her ears pierced is a big deal and should be properly celebrated . Claire’s is old news and a doctors office is much to bland….this is a great idea and I would love to see a review!

  4. This is such a cool idea, I remember being so nervous to get my ears pierced and it didn’t help that it was getting done by a teenager in a gross mall. This takes all the unnecessary scary aspects out of piercing!!! LOVE!

  5. Yeah it sounds dope. Much better than Claire’s lol.

  6. Yes, seems like a cool concept. When I got my ears pierced it was at Claire’s and we all know the horror stories there. Would have loved this when I was a kid.

  7. Definitely review! It’s a great concept for young girls who love accessories. Also love the idea of a journal making Rowan more interactive.

  8. Yes! Please review — my little cousins love this. Such a cute concept!

  9. Yes! Definitely would love to see this reviewed. There was nothing like this around when I was growing up but since I have a god-daughter now, it’s a perfect outlet for her. Can’t wait to see what more this company does, such a fantastic concept!

  10. YES. Please review! Seems like a great gift for teens this holiday season.

  11. This is the cutest concept!! Just found the perfect gift idea for my niece- she’s going to love the different earring themes every month 🙂

  12. Please review! This is such a great concept and I have personally had a great experience with the brand. Love the earrings and how the subscription goes beyond product!

  13. I would highly recommend this subscription and ear-piercing service! There are many ways to make the first ear-piercing experience happen; however, I love the idea of a trained medical professional helping my child through what can be an anxiety-provoking moment, in the comfort of our home. And the germaphobe in me loves that I can trust the sterility and safety of the equipment! I have also given Rowan as a gift and all the girls I know who have received it are loving it!

  14. Yes please review! I’ve heard such great things about this company. Wish this was around during my tween years!

  15. My girls LOVE Rowan and would to see it reviewed.

  16. Yes!!! Would love to see it reviewed. Such a cool concept!

  17. Finally someone figured out a better way to celebrate a young girls first ear piercing. I also like that the subscription is more than just a pair of earrings…the conversation starters make a lot of sense and help bolster the product offering from what I can tell…..can you please review and provide your thoughts?

  18. I’d love to see Rowan reviewed. I’ve read great things about the brand and personally love the concept!! Can’t wait to see the full review!!

  19. Please review Rowan!

  20. Love this! Especially that conversation card for my 11 year old who thinks she’s too grown up to share with me now! Will be buynig for xmas.

    • What a great idea and perfect for my daughters. I would love to read a review!

    • YES! What a great idea! Always looking for pointers on how to have meaningful conversations with my daughters…and love the idea of a gift that keeps coming throughout the year!

  21. OOoo! Yes! This looks like an amazing for my niece for xmas.

  22. Would love to see a review on this. – was thinking about ordering as a gift for my niece. Love that it comes with a few other gifts along with the earrings!

  23. Yes, very curious. Earring designs look super cute.

  24. My niece loves this box absolutely would love to see this review!

  25. I was thinking about getting this box for my god daughter for Christmas because she just got her ears pierced and I thought this would be more fun and interactive, as opposed to just picking her out a pair of earrings at a jewelry store. I love the different designs and how its an exciting item for her to get in the mail every month so that she has something to look forward to. I would love to see a review!

  26. I’m wondering how many people are buying their preteens $100 earrings on the regular. I pretty sure that as a preteen I lost everything.

  27. Yes, please review this box.

  28. I don’t post here often; I think that I’ve posted twice, but I can’t in good conscience, not post about this company.
I have gotten many(many) piercings over the past several years, have done a lot of research, and spoken to many professional piercers before I allow them to touch me.
Their earrings are cute, and out of safe(for most people) materials, however:
A nurse is not a piercer. A professional piercer has done a closely supervised apprenticeship with a very experienced mentor, lasting at least several months.
An “ear piercing instrument” is a piercing gun. Starter studs are relatively dull and literally tear a hole through the lobe, this is why the numbing cream is used. It is far less painful to get pierced with a sterile needle.
Do NOT twist your earrings. It interferes with healing and has a very good chance of contaminating the wound-a piercing is an open wound.
Don’t clean any piercing with “ear care solution” unless it contains only sterile saline. Antibacterials dry out the tissue and impede healing.
For safety, bring your child to a piercing studio. Many will pierce children. It will be in a private room or booth, it will be less painful and the post-piercing care that will be offered is excellent. It will probably also be less expensive than this service. You’ll have to leave the house, but make it a special day out for your child, not just a stranger invading their home, them leaving.

    • Thank you for all the tips. My daughter wants her ears pierced and I wasn’t sure where to go. I appreciate you taking the time to write such an informative post.

      • You’re welcome!

    • Yes! Please take your children to a professional.

    • Hi,

Thanks for all the tips. This may sound silly, especially since I have 3 holes but I guess its always different when it’s your child. But when you say professional piercer, are you referring to a tattoo studio, jewelry store….I got mine done 30 years at Claire’s in the mall and pretty sure the other 2 there too. Thanks for any suggestions.

      • A piercing or tattoo studio is rally the only way to go. You can usually get honest reviews on Yelp and the Association of Professional Piercers website will have information on what to look for and what to avoid when you choose a shop. I would avoid Claire’s at all costs-I have had some very personal piercings that were far less painful than a piercing gun. Getting my earlobes repierced at a studio with a needle only stung for a minute.

  29. Yes, please! My daughter just had her ears pierced and I’ve been considering this as a Christmas gift for her.

    • I just got these for Christmas for my daughter. We got star earrings and they are so pretty and she loves them!

  30. I’d love to see it reviewed! It looks like a fantastic box. Love the extras like the conversation starters.

I just visited their site and if you sign up now you’ll get the October Owl earrings.

    • Also, they will send you a new pair of earrings if you don’t like your monthly pair! You just have to pay the shipping. I think that’s great!

And…they have a piercing service with a network of certified nurses that will come to your home if your child’s ears aren’t pierced yet! I thought that was pretty neat. I’m sure it’s a bit pricey but it probably really cuts down on nerves. I used to pierce ears at a mall when I was a teenager. I think kids get twice as anxious having this done in front of strangers and out in public where they don’t want anyone to see them panic or cry.

      • Yes! I am a therapist who works with children and the mindfulness cards are an amazing addition! It’s such a great way to get conversations started with your girls in a fun way. The earrings are amazing and the designs can be for either adults or teens/tweens😊
