Penny + Grace August 2019 Jewelry Review
This month, I received a coordinating pair of necklaces and a pair of stud earrings in yellow gold.
Birds of a Feather Necklace
In classic Penny + Grace style, this dainty necklace consists of a thin chain with three tiny birds floating in the center. The lobster claw clasp can hook at three different points, so the length of the necklace can be changed to 15.5, 17, or 18.5 inches. This is not only great for different neck sizes and necklines, but also for layering necklaces.
Hot Air Balloon Necklace
I love the whimsical look of this necklace. Again, like the previous necklace, it has a thin gold chain and links at the same intervals to adjust the length. The tiny hot air balloon hangs from the chain like it’s floating mid-air and is the same on both sides, so you don’t have to worry about which side shows.
As if we couldn’t get any cuter…here are some little gold cloud studs that complete the sky theme. I like the tension style backs of these studs; they feel very secure while being comfortable.
Here are all the pieces of jewelry in this month’s Penny + Grace package. I’ve clasped the Birds of a Feather necklace at the shortest length and the Hot Air Balloon necklace at the longest. They are perfect to layer together. You can see how tiny those clouds are too!
The Verdict: This month’s Penny + Grace set is perfect for the end of summer and start of fall. The hot air balloon is my favorite and I love it paired with the birds. All of the jewelry P+G sends is lead- and nickel-free and has never caused me any issues. I love how the pieces can be mixed and matched from different months too. And, with the “Surprise Me” subscription options, I get a good variety of rose gold, yellow gold, and silver-tone jewelry.
To Wrap Up:
Value Breakdown: At $24.99 for this box, each item cost $8.33 on average.
