Can someone PLEASE explain to me why on planet Earth La Mer is this expensive? Especially in comparison to similar brands that sell theirs for less than half the price? What makes this so cost worthy? Jesus Tears?! No, but seriously….

I got a deluxe sample of it from Sephora last year and saw no difference whatsoever. There are just as good of brands as La Mer and much cheaper (and better-I’m looking at you Caudalie!). Sunday Riley is another over hyped brand imo!

Nope… it smells awful and I saw no results after using the stuff exclusively for a month. I actually tossed the rest of the jar. Chalk one up to my stupidity.

I just got a sample of Creme De La Mer for the first time. I can’t understand the hype at all. It smells exactly like a cheap drugstore cream that was made sometime in the mid-century. And the texture is awful, like rubbing glue on your face. I was disappointed it was such a tiny sample at first but having tried it I won’t even finish it.

I am not a fan. Mineral oil, wax, silicons. I think this is the most overrated brand out there. I came to see the price (haha) and to see the comments.

I passionately dislike the smell. I can not stand it. I gave the samples I had to my husband and could not be around him because of the smell.

From comments I’ve read, you’re not the only one. 😀 Some are very passionate in their distaste for the smell and come up with very creative ways to describe their products. lol Not all of their products smell the same though, so for me, there are some that I’m not really a fan of, and others I think smell fine.

They are sold out! Wow, I have cancelled all my subscriptions due to my lack of budget. I just love reading the posts. To think of having $425 just to blow on one box – that would be a bunch of subscription boxes.
