I don’t know if someone posted this but an update on shipping. My customization window finally closed. Yay! I purchased around 9/21

“Orders placed between September 11, 2019 and October 14th will ship out by Monday, October 21, 2019. Orders placed on or after October 15 will ship out within two weeks of purchase (usually sooner).”

I ordered in august. it’s been a week and no response to my emails..Does anyone have a contact number? I order before this September 11th update so that update doesn’t pertain to me at all and by law a company must ship within 30 days or notify buyer of delays. Since that after september 11th update has nothing to do with my order. I technically haven’t even been notified of my delay and can’t even get a response to my email. This is an absolute joke.

Update. I sent another email this one in all caps, and got a quick response back apologizing and saying somehow my box was overlooked or lost in the warehouse. They promised to add an extra gift to my box. ( I instantly felt guilty for complaining lol) It shipped the very next business day and the extra gift was a levels bath bomb and matching body scrub which I actually love. I ended up being very happy with the way they resolved it once they got my messages and very happy with the box itself which arrived shortly after they shipped it.

The email I used: [email protected]

It took them a day or two to respond. I heard if you ask for a refund you’ll get a shipping notification, but I can’t promise that though. Sucks you are going through that.

A social venture, even one with a b corp certification, is still a business built on a capitalist framework that has pre-exisiting norms and best practices about how transparently things are marketed, what things cost, and when things ship (namely before there is a price drop and a refusal to adjust for customers who have yet to receive their item).

There are customer protection laws for a reason. The fact that an organization has vaguely defined charitable aims does not mean it can display subpar functionality for weeks or months on end and escape criticism.

Even FFF was more mature and communicative when shipment was delayed than Causebox. A business cannot grow without responding maturely to feedback both positive and negative. Causebox customers are not just in California, a state where there is more of a compliment sandwich and flexible time culture. The two co-founders are alumni of Claremont McKenna and UCLA. Their GUST profile claims Causebox is a 5 year old C-Corp with 4 employees, a 1 mil revenue, 4000 paying customers and 93% retention.

That is a profile that sets some reasonable expections for organizational competence. People are right to be vocal about their displeasure if their experience with the company is bad so far.

Meh. Still not worth resubscribing.

Well Well Well, I love their curation of the box, but their customer service is horrible. They terminate my annual subscription before asking my opinion. Totally bummed!

Did I miss the Fall Causebox review?? Where is it??

Ah, they got me with the 30% off! I really want the weekender bag in any color. I also really want the letterpress board over the travel wallet so I’m taking a risk on that but overall it’ll be worth it with the coupon. And I’m really excited for the MALIN+GOETZ oil. The other items may go up for swap depending on what I think once I actually get them in my hands.

Laura

I came to leave the exact same comment, except that I really want the travel wallet instead of the letter board! I’ll gladly swap if we both get unlucky 🙂

Yes, that would be great 🙂 Not sure if this will work or, but I think this is the link to my swap profile: https://swap.mysubscriptionaddiction.com/user/42612/swaps

Chantel

FYI, you CAN order this if you already are already an annual member, and they told me that if I email them, they will allow me to customize!

reeb

But didn’t you already get this box with customization? I did with my annual subscription so they told me I can’t do this as an “add-on” subscription because I already got this particular box with my annual subscription. I can add on any welcome box, but they don’t have one of those out right now.

Were you able to use the discount code too?

Yes you can

Can you use the coupon code if you are already an annual member?

I just ordered yesterday and used regular coupon (20% off), so sad 🙁

But, why not get a box you love, knowing you might have to wait a bit for the first box? I do not understand that, their customer service is awesome, and their products are high quality, AND they stand behind them and replace them if there are issues. They stand behind great causes too.

I really am confused when people complain about shipping times, but the box and company is lovely and great to work with. Why not just be more patient? After your first box, they send them extremely timely and keep you posted if you email. You actually get responses. I don’t know, I think people are being extremely too critical, and expecting 100% perfection when that is not how life goes.

Be happy if you get a great box, great items, and at a great price.

I agree Chantel!

I usually agree that the people on here are way too fussy and demanding but in the case of Causebox they’re nowhere near as amazing as you say. If you have had great experiences with them that’s great. But not everyone has. Don’t try to scold people who have had less than decent experiences with their company.

Noelle

Because sometimes a product is purchased with plans in mind. I bought a summer box off of them a few years ago, and after the school year started, I decided to cancel. I wanted to be patient, but I didn’t want to wait a whole year to enjoy my purchase.

I paid over 2 months ago and emailed a week ago and still no response…Great customer service? I haven’t seen it..And they are way passed the shipping time set before I purchased. I have every right to be upset as does anyone else who has to wait over 2 months to receive their items and can’t even get the decency of an email back…Do you work for them or something??

Reply ButtonReply

Claire

You are right Chantel, it is a very responsive company and am grateful it helps better the planet, I’ll stop complaining!

Anita

Not happy with CAUSEBOX! I haven’t got a shipping notice yet like a lot of people and they’re wanting new customers!! WTH!!

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

See this is a huge reason why I don’t sign up because of there shipping issues sadly. I have really really wanted to soooo man times but I always end up reading posts like yours. Sorry …..

I haven’t yet received my box, but I wish I could have got this offer.

Oh no!!! This is just like FFF people are not receiving their boxes but they put a promotion out to drum up more business. Please give me my items! LOL

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

Exactly! I ordered in the middle of august and it’s now the middle of October and mine still hasn’t shipped 🙁 I emailed days ago and nothing but crickets. I am getting beyond mad and this just makes it worse.

I got my box a few weeks ago and I thought I was in the last wave? LOL.

LB

Oh wait…I should clarify…I meant the actual fall box (and I’m an annual subscriber). I forgot this was for the fall welcome box…I didn’t order that.
